日本の化粧品産業って携わっている人がいっぱいいて、車とか色々あるけれども、それに匹敵するくらいの産業だってずっと思ってたから、いろんなところで言ってたし、このチャンネルでも言うし。去年とかは本当に化粧品団体の皆さんの講演があった時にもそのお話しさせてもらったり。それを一人でこうあって言ってたのが、自民党の有志の議員さんたちが政府に提言してくれたっていうのが乗って。でも私、このニュース見てうるっときたもんね。たぶん私がこういうお仕事してる間、もう無理かなって正直思ってたの。後輩たちがそれをやっていってくれればいいんやぐらいに思ってたけど、もしかしたら世界が変わるかもしれないっていう、ちょっと節目にいるんじゃないかなと。

What I had been saying all on my own has now led to a group of LDP lawmakers making a proposal to the government about it. When I saw this news, I actually got choked up. Honestly, I had thought that this probably wouldn't happen while I was still doing this kind of work—I figured it would be fine if my juniors were the ones to eventually make it happen. But now I feel like we might be at a turning point where the world could actually change.
