Hello everyone, this is Tomoko. Today is the third installment of our popular series 'I went and bought things at a convenience store.' After FamilyMart and 7-Eleven, of course it's Lawson's turn! Today I'd like to introduce my recommended Lawson products, so please watch until the end. Speaking of Lawson, there's regular Lawson and Natural Lawson, right? This time I went to a regular Lawson. But recently, I've noticed that even regular Lawson stores carry items that seem meant for Natural Lawson, which I think is really nice. The first item is this: 'NL Sleeping Mask Gel-type Mask' and 'NL Lotion B'. These have the Natural Lawson mark on them, and even though I went to a regular Lawson, they had them in stock. The packaging feels natural, not too flashy. Since the manufacturer and contact information is Lawson Co., Ltd., I realized this must be a Lawson original product—honestly, this was my first time seeing it. There was a cleansing gel, a lotion, and this sleeping mask, I believe, and among these, the ones I liked best were this sleeping mask and this lotion. Though it's not clearly stated in large text, I think they're mainly using plant-derived ingredients. Especially this sleeping mask—it seems meant to be applied before sleep, like a pack you leave on overnight, but after using it, I felt it could work well as an all-in-one product too. Inside, there are little granules in the clear gel. I think these yellow granules are probably tocopherol acetate, a form of vitamin E. Vitamin E itself can help calm skin inflammation, promote blood circulation, and provide moisturizing effects, so I think this helps repair the skin's barrier function while you sleep. The base moisturizing ingredients are water and glycerin, of course, but there's also something called Methyl Gluceth-10, a moisturizing ingredient derived from corn. Besides that, it also contains soybean seed extract and aloe vera leaf extract, so it seems to use more natural ingredients for moisture while also incorporating skin-beautifying ingredients like tocopherol acetate. When applied, it didn't feel particularly irritating, so it's not necessarily made specifically for sensitive skin, but when your skin feels a bit rough or you want extra moisture, applying this felt like it had enough moisturizing power that I could honestly use it as an all-in-one product. Now for the lotion. The base is also water and glycerin, but it contains various other ingredients like hydrolyzed collagen, hyaluronic acid, and rosemary extract. There's nothing particularly standout about it, but it gave me the impression of a lotion you can use generously without worry. And this costs 980 yen. So it could be handy for travel or for staying over somewhere. Also, if a guy had this at home, it would provide solid moisture, so I think it's nice that it's designed in a somewhat gender-neutral way that works for anyone. Also, I looked it up and apparently this was co-developed with FANCL. I remembered that near the Natural Lawson products, there was FANCL merchandise nearby too. Ah, I thought, Lawson does carry FANCL cosmetics. Their enzyme facial wash and cleansers were placed right next to it, so I figured there must be some kind of partnership. Since FANCL made this, and FANCL is a company that's really skilled at making additive-free, natural-style cosmetics, I think this is a product you can use with peace of mind. Next up is another Lawson recommendation. Lawson has a low-carb image, right? Among these, what really impressed me was this bran bread. Out of the two pieces of dietary fiber content, one has 5.4g, and the carbs are only 2.2g! So even if you eat both, it's still under 5g of carbs. Regular rice balls have 20-30g of carbs, so I think this could work well as a staple food. Bran, of course, refers to wheat bran, and it's packed with dietary fiber. It also contains inulin, a type of water-soluble dietary fiber that serves as food for gut bacteria—it's amazing that inulin is included. So this is great for people who are watching their diet or worried about carbs. It says it contains lactic acid bacteria, but looking at the back, it's actually 'sterilized lactic acid bacteria powder,' so of course it's not live lactic acid bacteria. But even if it's not live, sterilized lactic acid bacteria are known to still serve as food for gut bacteria once they reach the intestines. Combined with the inulin, the granules, and the bran—all of these serve as food for gut bacteria—so I think this bread is amazing both for its diet benefits and for improving gut health. It's incredible that you can buy this at a convenience store. Genuinely impressive. I'm sure everyone already knows this, but whenever I find this, I definitely buy it as a snack. Next is this—another item from the low-carb series, I think. '0g Carb Noodles, Kamatama Udon Style.' This is amazing. You put the ready-to-eat noodles in a cup, add the soup base and egg, and eat it. At first glance it looks like udon, but apparently it's made from okara (soybean pulp) powder and konjac flour shaped like noodles. That's exactly why they can label it as zero carbs. This is really impressive. Normally, eating udon as-is has high carbs and causes a rapid spike in blood sugar, but this has almost zero carbs. On top of being zero-carb, it's only 112 kcal per serving. Since it comes with egg, you can get protein too. I don't think it includes green onions, so you'd want to add those yourself, but this seems great for people who are dieting or feeling sluggish. Also, this okara powder and konjac flour noodle is actually high in fiber too—it has 8.9g of dietary fiber, so it's great for people who tend to get constipated. Just like the bran bread earlier, this has benefits beyond just carb restriction, which I think is fantastic. Next are some more unusual items. These two are also things I liked: Mimiga (pig ear) and Norwegian salmon. Wow, we're really in an era where you can buy things like this at a convenience store. Speaking of mimiga, that's from Okinawa, right? It's pig ear skin. Pig ears are similar to cartilage. When cartilage is digested and enters the body, it can become a source of collagen. Of course, eating this won't make your skin smooth right away, but it felt a bit nostalgic to me, and I got happy thinking that convenience stores now sell things like this, so I bought it. As for Norwegian salmon, I talk about this often in my YouTube videos. Salmon really contains astaxanthin, and you can also get protein from it—it's a great food for beautiful skin, so we should eat it actively. Especially in summer, when inflammation occurs from UV exposure, astaxanthin helps stop that inflammation. Aging comes more from chronic inflammation in the body than acute inflammation, so we should be more mindful of chronic inflammation than acute inflammation—that's why salmon comes up so often. With this, people living alone can just open it and eat, or easily mix it into a dish. It doesn't leave leftovers, and you could even eat it just as it is—I thought that was wonderful. So if you're living alone and feel like you're not getting enough fish, please try this sliced Norwegian salmon from Lawson. Next is this. What impressed me about this minestrone is that cup soups often contain vegetable oils, but this one, probably because it's dried, uses tomato powder plus pumpkin powder, mushroom extract, broccoli powder—all these dried powder-type ingredients—so it doesn't seem to contain vegetable oils. Vegetable oils often contain a lot of omega-6, which tends to promote inflammation in the body, so I usually don't drink cup soups except for miso soup. But with this one, the 'one serving of vegetables' mentioned on the package is probably dried vegetables, and since it doesn't contain inflammatory oils either, I thought this was really great. A hearty soup like this, if the photo is accurate, should be chunky with ingredients, so I thought I could add some leftover rice from home and cheese to make it into a cheese risotto-style dish—it seems versatile. This is made by Nagatanien. It says 'Ajihitosuji Nagatanien' on it—so it's a collaboration between Nagatanien and Lawson. I couldn't tell at first glance, but I guess they really do collaborate with various companies to bring out that convenience-store charm. I'm looking forward to trying this, it looks delicious. Next are some snacks. I was thinking about how nourishment for the heart matters too, and Lawson really does have plenty of snacks that seem to satisfy both body and mind. Here they are: 'Manuka Honey Almonds,' 'GABA Cranberry Cookies,' and 'Vinegar-scented Soy Chips.' I went to a regular Lawson, but it said 'Natural Lawson' on the package. I figured these must be products developed for Natural Lawson but sold at regular Lawson stores too—there was a whole section like that with many such products. Among them, I chose these three. As for the vinegar-scented soy chips—most chips are deep-fried in oil, right? So I'm usually not a fan, but this one still uses rice oil. Regular rice oil does have a lot of omega-6, but rice oil also contains vitamin E, so that's a plus. Also, since these are soy chips, they're made from soybeans—amazing, right? So the calories are a bit lower. Carbs are 5.3g. It says 'plant-based chips using no animal ingredients,' so yes, it's soy-based. This green color apparently comes from chlorella powder. Despite being delicious, this is non-fried! So rather than deep-frying in rice oil, I think they probably just use a small amount of oil for baking rather than deep frying. That means they don't use much omega-6 oil either—this is great. Can I try a bit of this? This looks tasty. I thought maybe I shouldn't eat it since I'm introducing it, but since I've introduced it, I'll have a bite. I can eat this, right? Delicious! This one is vinegar-scented, so isn't it salty? It really does taste like vinegar. But it's tasty. There's no soybean smell at all. This makes me want a fizzy drink to go with it. This is delicious, kind of addictive. Nice, I found a good one here. I want to keep eating, so let's move on to the next one. Next is this. Does everyone know about GABA? I believe it became famous for improving brain function. There was a time when chocolate contained it, but it's rare to see it in cookies like this. Cranberries themselves have strong antioxidant properties, which is great, but there's one ingredient—shortening—that's used, and shortening tends to promote inflammation in the body, so I was a bit unsure about choosing this. But since the rest of the ingredients seemed fine, I figured a small amount would be okay, so I picked it. Also, besides GABA, this contains five vitamins: niacinamide, pantothenic acid, vitamin B1, and B2. Since summer often leads to vitamin deficiency, and B vitamins help with fatigue recovery, I decided to buy it despite being a bit concerned about the shortening. Let's try this one too. This one is apparently a collaboration with Toha To. Here's what the cookie looks like. Oh, delicious! This is really just a normal, delicious cookie. If you can get vitamins from this, that's great. What a wonderful era we live in. Just watch not to overeat, but it's genuinely delicious. And the last snack is this. Almonds are pretty common, right—the image of models and stylish people eating almonds. But if you eat plain almonds, you might want a bit of sweetness. This one is coated with Manuka honey, so it's properly sweet. Of course, just because it's honey doesn't mean your blood sugar won't spike, but Manuka honey contains minerals and antibacterial properties. Even with heat processing, those minerals likely remain, so in that sense, using Manuka honey for sweetness seems much better than using plain sugar. This has 7.8mg of vitamin E and 4.7g of dietary fiber, which you can get from one bag. It also says it contains 100 units of lactic acid bacteria, but again, this is 'sterilized lactic acid bacteria powder,' so it's not live bacteria, but as I mentioned before, even dead lactic acid bacteria serve as food for gut bacteria once they reach the intestines, so that's a plus too. Let's open this one too. Looks delicious. There's a bit of salt in it too. Sweet and salty? This is the addictive kind. It's 209 kcal, but 209 kcal from this snack is completely different from 209 kcal from other snacks—the nutrients are properly packed in, which makes this delicious. I'll definitely repurchase this. It's a great product. The ending turned into a taste-testing session, but Lawson really has a lot of original products, and it was a lot of fun. So having covered FamilyMart, 7-Eleven, and now Lawson, I feel like I've completed the set. Each convenience store had its own strengths. But now it's like, 'I'll go to 7-Eleven for this,' 'I'll go to FamilyMart for that,' 'I'll go to Lawson for this'—not just because it's the nearest store, but because I want that specific item. I'm really happy that we live in an era where you can go to convenience stores with that kind of purpose. Also, once the season changes, the products on the shelves might change too, so I'd like to do this convenience store series again when the season changes. Thank you for watching until the end today. Well then, see you in the next video. Goodbye! Please subscribe to my channel.
