効果絶大！医療もお墨付き成分配合しわ改善美容液

皆さんこんにちは、ともに新田です。今日は前回に引き続き、シワ改善成分の深掘り動画になります。前回はポーラさんのニールワンを深掘りしたんですが、今日は資生堂さんのレチノールについて深掘りしていきたいと思います。では早速いきましょう。 資生堂さんがシワ改善美容液として発売したのがこちら、エリクシール シュペリエル エンリッチド リンクルクリームになります。こちらは2017年の5〜6月に発売されたものです。2017年にポーラさんが日本におけるシワ改善という分野を開拓し、そこに参入してきたのが資生堂さんのエリクシール シュペリエル エンリッチド リンクルクリームになります。 こちらのエリクシールのリンクルクリームに入っている成分は、私も大好きなレチノール（ビタミンA）です。ビタミンAが皮膚に作用すると、表皮（皮膚の表面）と真皮（皮膚の奥）、どちらにも効いていきます。 まず表皮への効果としては、皮膚のターンオーバーが促されます。それによって、今回の主題とは少し外れますが、メラニンの排出がスムーズになるため美白効果もあります。また、表皮の水分量が増えるという効果もあります。一時的に剥離が起こるためカサカサするように見えることがありますが、剥離が落ち着いた後は表皮の水分量がアップし、細かいシワも改善されます。 次に真皮への効果ですが、真皮にはコラーゲンやエラスチンが存在します。ビタミンAはコラーゲンの産生を促すだけでなく、肌の張り感や立体感を担うエラスチンの変性も抑えることが分かっています。コラーゲンやエラスチンは紫外線によっても破壊されますが、加齢によっても壊れていきます。さらに加齢とともに、傷んだ繊維を再生する能力も低下しますが、ビタミンAを補うことで壊れにくくなるとともに、産生が再び活発になります。 そのため、レチノール（ビタミンA）を使っている方は、表面がツヤっとして内側からパーンとした張り感が出る肌になります。エリクシールでよく言われる「ツヤ玉」、つまりニッと笑ったときにプルっとした張り感が生まれるのが、このビタミンAの特徴です。 ビタミンAには実は多くの誘導体があります。パルミチン酸レチノール、酢酸レチノール、レチノール、そしてレチノイン酸などです。パルミチン酸レチノールや酢酸レチノールは肌への刺激は少ないですが、効果はゆっくりと現れます。赤みなどの反応は出にくい一方、改善には時間がかかります。一方、クリニックで処方されるレチノイン酸は刺激が非常に強く、塗っただけで赤みが出るほどですが、効果は高く、医薬品に分類されています。 その中間に位置するのがレチノールです。レチノイン酸ほど強い赤みは出ず、かつ酢酸レチノールやパルミチン酸レチノールのようにゆっくりでもない、いわば両者のいいとこどりをした成分です。 ただし、なぜ今まで化粧品に配合されにくかったかというと、安定性の問題があります。パルミチン酸レチノールや酢酸レチノールは安定性が非常に高く、化粧水などにも配合しやすいのですが、レチノールは非常に不安定で、空気に触れるとすぐに変性してしまいます。どこで購入しても品質を保てるよう安定性を確保したという点は、さすが資生堂さんだと思います。 私もよく使っているのですが、今回皆さんにご紹介するために新しいものを購入しました。容器をご覧いただくと、青いキャップが付いています。このキャップを外すと中に穴が開く構造になっており、キャップを刺してぐるぐる回すことで初めて内容物が出てくる仕組みになっています。開封するまでしっかり安定性を保てる容器設計になっているのです。 前回ご紹介したニールワンは、くっきりとできたシワをこれ以上深くしない働きをするものでしたが、このリンクルクリームのレチノールはシワの予防だけでなく、改善効果も高いです。その一方で、「レチノール反応」と呼ばれる一定の刺激感が現れることがあります。レチノールが肌に合わない方は使用が難しい場合もありますが、しっかりとした効果を求める方や、水分量を増やしながらツヤのある肌を目指したい方には、このレチノール配合のエリクシールをおすすめします。 資生堂さんにはたくさんのブランドがありますが、シワ改善を最初に打ち出したのはエリクシールです。さらにレチノールを配合した高級ラインとして、クレ・ド・ポー ボーテ セラム リサリス S があります。私はどちらも好きですが、個人的にはこのクレ・ド・ポーがとても気に入っています。お値段は高いですが、レチノール以外にもクレ・ド・ポー独自の成分が配合されています。 クレ・ド・ポーは「ブレイン スキン理論」を提唱しています。脳と肌は発生学的に同じ起源（外胚葉）から生まれており、脳が刺激に反応して興奮するように、肌も同様に「興奮」するという考え方です。例えば、炎症が長引いて興奮状態が続くと、その状態が定着して炎症物質が過剰に産生されてしまいます。そのため、常に鎮静作用を持つ成分を取り入れることが重要だと提唱しているのがクレ・ド・ポーです。 この考えのもとに生まれたのが「イルミネイティング コンプレックス」と呼ばれるクレ・ド・ポー独自の成分です。肌の興奮を鎮静させ、その興奮状態を記憶・定着させないようにする働きがあります。この成分にレチノールが加わり、さらにテクスチャーも非常に心地よい仕上がりになっています。エアレスポンプ容器を採用してビタミンAの変性を防ぐ設計になっており、香りや使用感も非常に優れています。レチノール反応が出ない方には、ぜひおすすめしたい製品です。 レチノールは安定性が非常に低いと先ほどからお伝えしていますが、クリニックでレチノイン酸を処方する際も、単体で調剤してお渡しするほどです。資生堂さんは1989年からレチノールの安定化研究を続けており、少量の美容成分との配合ならば安定化できるようになりました。しかしクレ・ド・ポーのような最上級ラインには多くの美容成分が配合されているため、レチノールとの組み合わせで安定性が損なわれることが新たに判明しました。それでも最上級ラインに配合したいという思いから、優秀な研究員たちが研究を重ね、誕生したのがクレ・ド・ポー セラム リサリス Sです。 ここで少し話が変わりますが、「化粧品のオリンピック」とも称されるIFSCC（国際化粧品技術者連盟大会）をご存知でしょうか。世界各国の化粧品会社が最新の研究成果を発表するこの大会は、2年に1回開催されます。資生堂さんはこの大会での受賞数が世界最多で、最優秀賞の獲得数もトップです。 その年は実は日本での開催でしたが、残念ながらコロナ禍によりオンライン開催となりました。それでも資生堂さんはその大会で受賞を重ね、累計28個の受賞を達成しました。他の欧米の化粧品会社の受賞数が一桁台（5〜7個程度）であることを考えると、資生堂さんの研究力がいかに突出しているかが分かります。また、エズレさんという同社のトップ研究員は4大会連続最優秀賞を受賞するという快挙を成し遂げました。これらのことからも、資生堂さんが日本を代表する、世界トップクラスの化粧品研究を行っている企業であることがよく分かります。 まとめると、レチノールはもともと存在していたビタミンAの誘導体ですが、資生堂さんがその安定化技術を確立し、シワへの有効性を臨床試験で証明して承認を取得しました。第1弾製品がエリクシール エンリッチド リンクルクリームであり、その後クレ・ド・ポーなどの上位ラインにも展開されています。 ビタミンA（レチノール）は表皮と真皮の両方に作用し、表皮の水分量を増加させ、真皮ではコラーゲン・エラスチンの再生を促すことで、ハリのあるみずみずしい肌をつくり、シワの予防・改善に働きかけます。赤みが出る可能性もありますが、しっかりとした効果を求める方にはぜひ取り入れていただきたい成分です。 この番組では、美容や健康についての正しい情報をお届けしています。ぜひチャンネル登録をお願いします。次回の深掘り動画第3弾もお楽しみに。それではまた次の動画でお会いしましょう。さようなら。

Hello everyone, I'm Nitta. Today, continuing from last time, we're doing a deep-dive video on wrinkle-improving ingredients. Last time we covered Pola's NIRUWAN, and today I'd like to take a deep dive into Shiseido's retinol. Let's get started. The product Shiseido released as a wrinkle-improving serum is the ELIXIR SUPERIEUR Enriched Wrinkle Cream. It was launched around May or June 2017. After Pola pioneered the wrinkle-improvement category in Japan in 2017, Shiseido entered the space with this product. The key ingredient in this ELIXIR wrinkle cream is retinol — a form of Vitamin A that I personally love. When Vitamin A is applied to the skin, it works on both the epidermis (the skin's surface) and the dermis (the deeper layers). In the epidermis, it promotes skin cell turnover, which — though not the main focus today — also facilitates melanin excretion, giving a whitening effect. It also increases the moisture content of the epidermis. You may temporarily experience dryness or flaking due to this turnover, but once that process settles, the skin's moisture levels rise and fine lines improve. In the dermis, where collagen and elastin are found, Vitamin A not only promotes collagen production but also inhibits the degradation of elastin — the fiber responsible for skin firmness and three-dimensional plumpness. Both collagen and elastin are damaged by UV exposure and by the natural aging process, while the skin's ability to regenerate these fibers also declines with age. Supplementing with Vitamin A helps protect these fibers from breaking down and reactivates their production. As a result, people who use retinol (Vitamin A) tend to notice a glossy surface and a plump, firm quality from within. This is what ELIXIR refers to as "tsuyatama" (gloss balls) — that springy, luminous firmness you see when you smile. That's what Vitamin A delivers. There are actually many Vitamin A derivatives. These include retinyl palmitate, retinyl acetate, retinol, and retinoic acid. Retinyl palmitate and retinyl acetate are gentler on the skin but work slowly and gradually, with minimal redness or irritation. On the other end of the spectrum, retinoic acid — used as a prescription drug in clinics — is highly effective but extremely irritating, capable of causing redness immediately upon application. It is classified as a pharmaceutical. Retinol sits in between: it's not as harsh as retinoic acid, and it works faster than retinyl palmitate or acetate. It offers the best of both worlds. However, the reason it hasn't been widely used in cosmetics until now comes down to stability. Retinyl palmitate and acetate are very stable and easy to formulate into products like toners, but retinol is highly unstable and degrades quickly upon exposure to air. Achieving stability in a consumer product — one that must remain effective regardless of where or how it is purchased — is a remarkable feat, and this is where Shiseido truly shines. I use this product regularly, and I bought a new one to show you today. You'll notice a blue cap on the container. This cap keeps the contents sealed. When you remove it and insert the cap tip into the bottle, rotating it opens a hole that allows the product to be dispensed for the first time. This design ensures that the retinol remains stable until the very moment of first use. Unlike NIRUWAN, which works primarily to prevent existing deep wrinkles from deepening further, this Wrinkle Cream with retinol is effective for both prevention and active improvement. However, it can cause what's known as a "retinol reaction" — a degree of skin irritation. Those with sensitive skin or who react poorly to retinol may find it difficult to use. But for those seeking strong, visible results and a moisturized, luminous complexion, this ELIXIR retinol cream is highly recommended. Shiseido has many brands, and ELIXIR was the first to launch a wrinkle-improvement claim. At the higher end of the lineup, there is also the CLÉ DE PEAU BEAUTÉ Sérum Lissant Suprême S, which also contains retinol. Personally, I'm particularly fond of this one. It's expensive, but in addition to retinol, it contains Clé de Peau's proprietary ingredient. Clé de Peau Beauté advocates what it calls the "Brain Skin Theory." The concept is that the brain and skin share the same embryonic origin — both are derived from the ectoderm. Just as the brain can become "excited" in response to stimuli, so too can the skin. If the skin remains in a prolonged state of excitement — such as from ongoing inflammation — that state becomes "memorized," leading to excessive production of inflammatory substances. Clé de Peau argues that it's important to continually include calming ingredients to prevent this. Based on this philosophy, the brand developed the "Illuminating Complex" — a proprietary ingredient found only in Clé de Peau products — designed to calm the skin's excited state and prevent it from becoming a lasting condition. Combined with retinol and a luxurious texture, the product comes in an airless pump to prevent Vitamin A degradation, and it has a wonderful scent and feel on the skin. For those who don't experience retinol reactions, it is highly recommended. As mentioned, retinol is notoriously unstable — even at Shiseido's clinics, retinoic acid is dispensed as a standalone preparation. Shiseido began researching how to stabilize retinol back in 1989. They eventually succeeded in combining it with certain beauty ingredients, but when they tried to incorporate it into a complex formula like Clé de Peau's top-tier line — which already contains many active ingredients — they discovered new stability challenges. Determined to include retinol in their premium line, their elite researchers dedicated themselves to solving this problem, ultimately creating the Clé de Peau Sérum Lissant Suprême S. On a related note, there is an event often called the "Olympics of cosmetics" — the IFSCC (International Federation of Societies of Cosmetic Chemists) Congress. Held every two years, it is a global stage where cosmetics companies present their latest research. Shiseido holds the record for the most awards, including the most Best Paper awards. The congress was actually held in Japan that year, but unfortunately went online due to COVID-19. Even so, Shiseido extended its record to 28 cumulative awards — far ahead of other major European and American companies, which typically hold single-digit totals (around 5 to 7). Additionally, a top Shiseido researcher named Ezure won the Best Paper award for the fourth consecutive congress — a remarkable achievement. All of this speaks to the extraordinary level of research capability that defines Shiseido as Japan's premier cosmetics company and a global leader in the field. To summarize: retinol is a Vitamin A derivative that has long been known for its skin benefits. Shiseido developed the technology to stabilize it in cosmetic formulations, conducted rigorous clinical trials to prove its efficacy against wrinkles, and received regulatory approval. The first product was the ELIXIR Enriched Wrinkle Cream, followed by its inclusion in premium lines such as Clé de Peau Beauté. Vitamin A (retinol) acts on both the epidermis and dermis — increasing surface moisture levels and stimulating collagen and elastin regeneration in the deeper layers — resulting in firmer, more hydrated skin while both preventing and improving wrinkles. Though there is some risk of skin irritation, for those seeking meaningful results, a retinol-containing serum is well worth considering.
