【緊急動画】待望の新規シワ改善成分が発表されました！

皆さんこんにちは、とも皮膚科医です。今日はちょっと緊急で動画を撮っています。 6月20日、シワの有効成分として新しい成分が誕生したというリリースが発表されました。実は4月にも新しい有効成分が開発されたという発表があったのですが、その時は今までと似たようなアプローチだったので取り上げませんでした。しかし今回開発されたものは、今までとアプローチ方法が違う点があるので、これは緊急で動画にしなければと思い撮影しています。 それが「ライスパワーNo.11プラス」です。ライスパワーNo.11はもともと皮膚の水分保持を改善する保湿の有効成分として認められていたものですが、今回さらに進化を遂げ、厚生労働省からシワ改善の有効成分として新規に認可されました。 このライスパワーNo.11プラスが他と何が違うのか説明する前に、まず今までのシワ改善成分についておさらいします。 皆さんがシワ改善と聞いてパッと思い浮かぶ、そして今まで有効性が認められ製品化されている成分は、ナイアシンアミド、レチノール、そしてニールワンの3つです。 ナイアシンアミドは表皮と真皮どちらにもアプローチする成分です。表皮では角化を促進しヒアルロン酸などを増やし、真皮では線維芽細胞の増殖を促進しコラーゲンの産生を促進します。つまりナイアシンアミドは表皮にも真皮にも効く成分でシワを改善します。 レチノールは表皮にアプローチする成分で、表皮のヒアルロン酸を増やすことで肌にハリやツヤを出し、シワを改善します。ちなみにレチノールは全てがシワ改善を謳えるわけではなく、シワ改善として承認を受けているのは資生堂のピュアレチノールのみです。承認を取っているのが資生堂だけなので、他社のレチノール製品はシワ改善と表示できないのです。 もう一つのニールワンはポーラが開発した成分で、真皮にアプローチします。真皮にあるコラーゲンやエラスチンの分解を抑制することでシワを改善します。 このように、ナイアシンアミドは表皮・真皮の両方、レチノールは表皮、ニールワンは真皮と、それぞれアプローチする場所が異なっていました。 実は4月にも新規の有効成分が発表されています。4月14日、日本メナード化粧品が「安定化ビタミンE誘導体」でシワ改善の承認を取得しました。正式名称はDL-α-トコフェリルリン酸Na（略称BEPM）です。 これを4月の時点で紹介しなかった理由は、従来のものと似ていたからです。表皮にアプローチし、表皮のセラミドやヒアルロン酸の産生を促進してシワを改善するというもので、素晴らしい成分ではありますが、アプローチの場所が今までと同じでした。また、成分のリリースが出ても製品化がいつになるかは基本的に明記されないため、メナードが製品を出したら改めて取り上げようと思っていました。 そんな中、リュウシン製薬が開発しているこのライスパワーNo.11プラスは、今までのシワ改善成分とアプローチする場所が違う、というより増えているのです。これがすごいと思い、製品化される前に詳しくお話ししたいと、興奮しながら撮影しています。 今までは表皮と真皮にアプローチしてシワを改善していましたが、今回は基底膜にまでアプローチしているのです。これは非常にすごいことです。基底膜からは新しい細胞が生まれ、それが表皮の細胞となり、最終的に角質層となっていきます。今までの乾燥改善の有効成分も基底膜にアプローチし、そこから生まれた細胞が健全に成長する過程でセラミドを産生し、水分を保持することで乾燥肌を改善するという承認を得ていました。 今回のライスパワーNo.11プラスも同様に表皮のターンオーバーを正常化することでセラミドなどの産生を促すと考えられますが、何がすごいかというと、今、私たち皮膚科医の間でも、シワをはじめとする様々な皮膚疾患に基底膜が関係しているのではないかという研究が進んでいる分野なのです。それが表皮と真皮の間にある基底膜という場所です。 実はシワにもこの基底膜が大きく関係していると言われています。基底膜のコラーゲンが破壊されるとシワができるのではないか、という説があります。まだ完全には解明されていない部分もありますが、シワが深い部分を見ると、ほぼ基底膜のコラーゲンが壊れているのです。なので、基底膜のコラーゲンが壊れるとシワができるということは、今のところ間違いないと言われています。 今回のライスパワーNo.11は、この基底膜にアプローチしてコラーゲンを増加させる効果も謳われています。もちろん表皮のヒアルロン酸や細胞間脂質を増やすことで表皮にもアプローチし、さらに真皮のコラーゲンなどの破壊も抑制するというデータも取れています。 今までは表皮と真皮、あるいは表皮のみ、真皮のみへのアプローチだったのが、今回は表皮・基底膜・真皮の3つを網羅した成分が開発され、発表されたのです。これは本当にすごいことです。 シワ改善はもうやり尽くされたのかなという感じがありましたが、このライスパワーNo.11の開発により、また一つシワ改善化粧品の歴史が動いたと感じています。 残念ながら、この成分が配合された化粧品がいつ発売されるかはまだ明記されていません。発売されたら、いち早く皆さんにご紹介したいと思います。この秋冬はシワ改善が熱くなるのではないかと思いますので、ぜひ期待していてください。 今日は興奮気味で、あまりにもすごいと思ったので、まとまりのない部分があったかもしれませんがご容赦ください。それでも、こうして新規成分を開発する研究者の方々は本当にすごいと思います。リュウシン製薬さんに取材を申し込もうかなと勝手に思っています。もしリュウシン製薬の方がこの動画をご覧になっていて、私から連絡があった際には、快く受けていただけると嬉しいです。 今日も最後まで動画を見ていただきありがとうございました。良かったという方はグッドボタンやチャンネル登録をしていただけると嬉しいです。それではまた次の動画でお会いしましょう。さようなら。

Hello everyone, this is Tomo, a dermatologist. Today I'm filming an urgent video. On June 20th, an announcement was released that a new active ingredient for wrinkle improvement has been developed. Actually, there was also an announcement in April about a new active ingredient, but at that time it used an approach similar to existing ones, so I didn't cover it. However, this newly developed ingredient has some different approaches compared to before, so I felt I had to make an urgent video about it. This is "Rice Power No. 11 Plus." Rice Power No. 11 was originally recognized as a moisturizing active ingredient that improves the skin's water retention, but it has now evolved further and received new approval from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare as an active ingredient for wrinkle improvement. Before explaining what makes Rice Power No. 11 Plus different from others, let me first review the existing wrinkle-improving ingredients. When people think of wrinkle improvement, three ingredients that come to mind—and which have been proven effective and commercialized—are Niacinamide, Retinol, and Nirwan (Nile One). Niacinamide works on both the epidermis and dermis. In the epidermis, it promotes keratinization and increases hyaluronic acid, while in the dermis, it promotes fibroblast proliferation and collagen production. So Niacinamide is an ingredient that works on both the epidermis and dermis to improve wrinkles. Retinol works on the epidermis, increasing hyaluronic acid in the epidermis to give the skin firmness and radiance, thereby improving wrinkles. As a side note, not all retinol products can claim wrinkle improvement—only Shiseido's Pure Retinol has approval for this claim, since Shiseido is the only company that has obtained regulatory approval for it. That's why other companies' retinol products cannot claim wrinkle-improving effects. The other ingredient, Nirwan, was developed by POLA and works on the dermis. It suppresses the breakdown of collagen and elastin in the dermis, thereby improving wrinkles. In this way, Niacinamide works on both the epidermis and dermis, Retinol works on the epidermis, and Nirwan works on the dermis—each targeting different areas. Actually, another new active ingredient was announced in April as well. On April 14th, Menard Cosmetics Japan received approval for wrinkle improvement using a "stabilized vitamin E derivative." Its official name is DL-α-Tocopheryl Phosphate Na (abbreviated as BEPM). The reason I didn't cover this in April was that it was similar to existing approaches—it works on the epidermis, promoting ceramide and hyaluronic acid production to improve wrinkles. While this is a wonderful ingredient, it targets the same area as before. Also, when an ingredient release is announced, the timing of product launch is typically not specified, so I was waiting until Menard released an actual product to cover it. However, this Rice Power No. 11 Plus, developed by Ryushin Seizo, targets areas different from—or rather, additional to—previous wrinkle-improving ingredients. I found this so impressive that I'm filming this video with excitement before the product is even released, wanting to explain it in detail. Until now, wrinkle improvement worked by targeting the epidermis and dermis, but this time it also targets the basement membrane. This is truly remarkable. New cells are born from the basement membrane, become epidermal cells, and eventually turn into the stratum corneum. Previous active ingredients for improving dryness also targeted the basement membrane, with the idea that new cells born there would healthily grow and produce ceramide, thereby maintaining moisture and improving dry skin—this had already received approval. This new Rice Power No. 11 Plus likely also normalizes epidermal turnover, which in turn promotes ceramide production, among other things. But what's truly amazing is that currently, among us dermatologists, there's ongoing research into how the basement membrane may be related to various skin conditions, including wrinkles. The basement membrane is located between the epidermis and dermis. In fact, it's said that the basement membrane is significantly related to wrinkles. There's a theory that when collagen in the basement membrane breaks down, wrinkles form. While this isn't completely understood yet, when you look at deep wrinkles, the basement membrane collagen is almost always broken down. So it's now considered fairly certain that basement membrane collagen breakdown leads to wrinkle formation. This new Rice Power No. 11 targets the basement membrane and is claimed to increase collagen there as well. Of course, it also works on the epidermis by increasing hyaluronic acid and intercellular lipids, and data also shows it suppresses collagen breakdown in the dermis. Whereas before, ingredients targeted either the epidermis and dermis together, or just the epidermis, or just the dermis, this time an ingredient has been developed that comprehensively covers all three: epidermis, basement membrane, and dermis. This is truly incredible. I had felt like wrinkle improvement research had been fully explored, but with the development of Rice Power No. 11, I feel like the history of wrinkle-improving cosmetics has taken another step forward. Unfortunately, it's not yet specified when cosmetics containing this ingredient will go on sale. Once they're released, I want to be among the first to introduce them to you. I think this autumn/winter season could be an exciting time for wrinkle improvement, so please look forward to it.
