みなさんこんにちは、友利新です。今日はタイトルにもあるように、プチプラでこういうのを出されたら正直ちょっと厳しいなと思うアイテムを見つけました。SNSでもかなり話題になっているものなんですが、こちら「肌ラボ 薬用水分力ブライトニングエッセンス」です。 なぜこんなにSNSで話題かというと、「成分おばけ」と言われていて、それもそのはずで、有効成分がなんと4つ入っているんですね。まず一つがビタミンCの誘導体。これは水溶性のビタミンC誘導体で、L-アスコルビン酸グルコシドというものです。もう一つがアルブチンですね。これが美白の有効成分として入っていて、そしてあと2つが肌荒れ防止ということで、グリチルリチン酸ジカリウムと、あとはトラネキサム酸が入っています。この4つが入っているだけでも「成分おばけ」と言われているんですが、その他にも毛穴にアプローチするグリシルグリシンだったり、肌の水分を上げていくアミノ酸だったりと、とにかく成分がめちゃくちゃてんこ盛りになっています。 そもそも肌ラボというブランドは、名前の通り乾燥している方の肌の水分量を上げていくためにできたブランドですよね。例えばちょっと前に出た化粧水も、ヘパリン類似物質やグリチルリチン酸が入っていて、本当に保湿に特化したものなんですけれども、肌ラボというブランド自体が「肌の水分量を上げてバリア機能をアップしていく」というところがベースにあるんですね。 なので肌の水分量を上げていくために、まず12種類のアミノ酸が入っています。これだけでもバリア機能アップに役立つ12種類のアミノ酸ですね。プラスアルファ、吸着型のヒアルロン酸も入っています。この吸着型ヒアルロン酸は、ヒアルロン酸ヒドロキシプロピルトリモニウムというもので、なぜ吸着型かというと、ヒアルロン酸には分子量が大きく肌の奥まで浸透していくタイプと、肌の上に乗って膜を張りバリア機能を高めていくタイプがあり、吸着型のヒアルロン酸は後者にあたります。基本的に吸着型のヒアルロン酸というのは洗顔料などにも使われていて、肌が荒れていたり、次に別のものを重ねて塗ったとしても肌の上に残ってくれる、というのが吸着型ヒアルロン酸の特徴です。 膜を張ることで瞬時にバリア機能を整えながら、12種類のアミノ酸がたくさんの水分を保持するもと、つまり細胞間脂質のもとになるんですね。吸着型のヒアルロン酸で即効性を出しつつ、12種類のアミノ酸で自分の肌自体がバリア機能のもとになる細胞間脂質を作れるようにする。つまり、即効性とプラスアルファ自分で作る力も高めていくというものがしっかり入っているんです。 それだけじゃなくて、乾燥していても毛穴やベタつきが部分的に気になる方もいますよね。そこに入っているのがグリシルグリシンという成分です。これは以前資生堂さんが特許を持っていた成分で、今は色々なブランドで使われるようになったんですけれども、すり鉢状の毛穴を抑えてくれる成分で、皮脂の分泌が多いところをちょっと抑えてくれるんです。全体的に抑えるわけではなく、多いところをピンポイントで引き締めてくれるので、乾燥している方でもTゾーンや顎など、皮脂バランスが崩れているところと乾燥しているところのバランスが取れないという方にも合っていると思います。あとはこの美白美容液を暑い時期に使う方も多いと思うので、日本の夏は今すごく暑くなっていますから、そういう意味でも部分的な皮脂の分泌増加を考えて、このグリシルグリシンが入っているんじゃないかなと思います。 もし4つの有効成分がなかったとしても、これだけで十分素晴らしい美容液なんですが、先ほどから言っているように「成分おばけ」と言われているのは、美白成分が2種類、肌荒れ防止成分も2種類入っているからなんですね。 美白成分はアルブチンと水溶性ビタミンC誘導体です。アルブチン自体はチロシナーゼの活性を抑えてメラニンの生成を抑制するというものです。アルブチンは抗酸化作用も高い成分なので、紫外線が強くなる夏の時期にはぴったりの美白有効成分です。そしてビタミンCは万能ですよね。ビタミンC自体もメラニンの生成を抑制しますが、できてしまったメラニンを薄くする「メラニンの淡色化」という作用もあると言われています。同じくメラニン生成を抑えるアプローチではあるのですが、少しメラニンを薄くするという点でアプローチが異なると思いますし、ビタミンC自体も抗酸化力が非常に高い美白有効成分なので、紫外線が強くなる時期にはとてもいいと思います。 ただ、そこにやっぱり肌ラボならではの肌荒れ防止成分も2つ入っているんですね。乾燥するとバリア機能が低下してしまいますよね。バリア機能が低下すると、紫外線による炎症だけでなく、他の刺激も加わりやすくなり、メラニンを作りやすい環境になってしまいます。なので美白ケアでは、紫外線から作られるメラニンをブロックすることも必要ですし、バリア機能の低下によって起こるメラニン生成も抑えていかなければなりません。メラニン生成を抑えるだけで、バリア機能の低下を放置していると、いくらメラニン生成を抑えたところで刺激がずっと加わり続けてしまいます。そういう意味で、バリア機能を整えるための吸着型ヒアルロン酸や12種類のアミノ酸が入っているんですけれども、バリア機能を正常化させながら肌荒れを防止する、つまり抗炎症成分を入れることがとても大事になってくるんですね。 その抗炎症を担ってくれるのがトラネキサム酸とグリチルリチン酸ジカリウムです。トラネキサム酸は今回、肌荒れ予防として入れられているものなんですが、炎症を抑えることでメラニン生成を抑えるという働きもあるので、メーカーさんは「肌荒れ用」として書いているものの、シミ予防にもプラスになると思います。私からすると、シミ予防の成分は2つではなく実質3つなのかなと思いますし、プラスアルファ肌荒れにはトラネキサム酸とグリチルリチン酸が同時に効いてくれるので、抗炎症もバッチリ、美白もバッチリ、もちろんベタつき対策のグリシルグリシン、そして保湿のベースとなるものもしっかり入っているという意味で、本当に「成分おばけ」だなと思います。 プラスアルファ、色々なものがフリーになっているんですよね。もちろんアルコールもフリーです。こういう美白美容液に成分を配合する際、アルコールが必要になることが多いんですけれども、肌ラボというぐらいなので乾燥している方や荒れやすい方が多く使うことを考えて、アルコールが入っていると刺激になってしまうので、エタノールの代わりにブチレングリコールなどを入れて、敏感な方にも対応できるようになっています。 ヒアルロン酸は低分子ヒアルロン酸と吸着型ヒアルロン酸が入っているんですが、もう一つ、ヒアルロン酸と同じように水を引き込んで離さない、角層の水分量をしっかり上げてくれる白キクラゲ多糖体というものも入っています。これは自分の重さの500倍の水を抱え込めると言われているんですね。なので本当に保水能力が高く、肌に乗せておくことで1日中乾きにくい肌にしてくれるというイメージです。プラスアルファ、吸着型ヒアルロン酸で膜を張るだけでなく、ワセリンも入っているんですね。ワセリンはやはり油分ですし、もちろん精製されたワセリンなので、ワセリンが吸着型ヒアルロン酸と同じようにしっかり膜を張ってくれるので、日中の乾燥も抑えつつ、美白と肌荒れの炎症もしっかり抑えてくれる。本当にこれはすごいなと思います。 40mLで税込2640円です。こんなものを出されたらどうしますか、という感じですよね。 気になるテクスチャーですが、ポンプ式で出すととろみのある、さらっとした美容液になっています。スッと馴染んでいきます。アルコールが入っていないので、揮発してスッとするという感じはなく、水のような刺激は全くなくスッと入っていきます。吸着型ヒアルロン酸やワセリンが入っているので、ベタつき感がゼロかと言われたら、少しだけくっつく感じはあります。この刺激のなさとこの浸透感でいくと、かなりのクオリティなんじゃないかなと思います。 これは美容液なので、その後にクリームや乳液が必要な方はしっかり塗っていただくのも大事かもしれませんが、意外としっかり保湿されるので、肌ラボユーザーでない脂性肌の方でもこれだけでしっかり保湿できるんじゃないかと思うくらいの保湿感がある美容液です。 首やデコルテのケアができていないという方も、デパコスの1万円を超えるようなものを体に塗るのはちょっとためらう、という方も、これなら首まで塗っても気にならないと思いますし、首は色々なものを塗ると痒みが出たりもするので、そういう意味でもしっかり塗るのにいいんじゃないかなと思います。 肌ラボさん、本当にやりすぎですよ、ということで、よかったらぜひチェックしてみてください。 今日はいかがだったでしょうか。本当にSNSでも発売前から超話題だったこちらの肌ラボの新作について深掘りしてみました。ではまた次の動画でお会いしましょう。さようなら。

Today, as the title suggests, I found an item that made me think, "If a drugstore-price brand releases something like this, it's honestly a bit tough for the premium brands to compete." It's been causing quite a stir on SNS too — this is Hada Labo's Medicated Moisture Brightening Essence. The reason it's such a hot topic on SNS is that it's being called a "monster of ingredients," and for good reason — it contains four active ingredients. The first is a vitamin C derivative, specifically a water-soluble one called L-ascorbic acid glucoside. The second is arbutin, which is an active whitening ingredient. And the other two are for preventing skin irritation: dipotassium glycyrrhizinate and tranexamic acid. Just having these four ingredients alone is enough to earn it the nickname "ingredient monster," but on top of that, it also contains glycylglycine, which targets pores, and amino acids that boost skin moisture — the ingredient list is absolutely packed. Hada Labo, as a brand, was originally created to increase skin moisture for people with dry skin, as the name suggests ("Hada" meaning skin, "Labo" meaning lab). For example, a lotion released a bit earlier from the same brand contained heparin-like substances and glycyrrhizinic acid, really focusing on moisture. The brand's core concept is boosting skin moisture to improve barrier function. To raise skin moisture levels, this essence contains 12 types of amino acids, which alone help improve barrier function. On top of that, it also contains an adsorptive type of hyaluronic acid — specifically, hydroxypropyltrimonium hyaluronate. The reason it's called "adsorptive" is that while some hyaluronic acid types have large molecules that penetrate deep into the skin, this type sits on top of the skin and forms a film to enhance barrier function. This adsorptive hyaluronic acid is often used in facial cleansers too, and it has the characteristic of staying on the skin's surface even after applying other products afterward, or even when the skin is irritated. By forming this film, it instantly strengthens the skin's barrier function, while the 12 amino acids serve as the building blocks for retaining moisture — essentially the foundation of intercellular lipids. So the adsorptive hyaluronic acid provides immediate effects, while the 12 amino acids help your skin build its own intercellular lipids that form the basis of barrier function over time. In other words, it offers both instant effects and the enhancement of the skin's own natural ability to maintain itself. But that's not all — even people with dry skin can have concerns about pores or oiliness in certain areas, right? That's where glycylglycine comes in. This ingredient was once patented by Shiseido, but now it's used by various brands. It helps suppress mortar-shaped (enlarged) pores by reducing excess sebum specifically in areas with high oil production — not overall, but targeting the areas that need it. So even for dry-skinned people, areas like the T-zone or chin that have imbalanced sebum production can benefit, especially for those who struggle with the imbalance between dry areas and oily areas. Also, since this whitening essence is likely used during the hot season, and Japan's summers have been getting really intense, I think glycylglycine was added with increased partial sebum production in mind as well. Even without the four active ingredients, this would already be a wonderful essence on its own. But as I mentioned, it's called an "ingredient monster" because it contains two whitening ingredients and two anti-irritation ingredients. The whitening ingredients are arbutin and the water-soluble vitamin C derivative. Arbutin works by suppressing tyrosinase activity, thereby inhibiting melanin production. It also has strong antioxidant properties, making it perfect for the summer when UV rays are strong. And vitamin C is truly versatile — it also suppresses melanin production, but it's also said to have a "melanin lightening" effect, meaning it can lighten melanin that has already formed. While both ingredients work to suppress melanin production, their approaches differ slightly, with vitamin C offering the additional benefit of lightening existing melanin. Vitamin C also has very high antioxidant power as a whitening active ingredient, making it great for the season when UV exposure increases. But of course, true to Hada Labo's identity, it also includes two anti-irritation ingredients. When skin becomes dry, barrier function declines. When barrier function weakens, not only does UV-induced inflammation occur, but the skin also becomes more susceptible to other irritants, creating an environment where melanin is more easily produced. So for whitening care, you need to block melanin production caused by UV rays, but also address melanin production caused by weakened barrier function. If you only suppress melanin production while leaving the weakened barrier function unaddressed, irritation will continue to affect the skin no matter how much you suppress melanin. That's why, along with the adsorptive hyaluronic acid and 12 amino acids that support barrier function, it's crucial to include anti-inflammatory ingredients that normalize the barrier function while preventing skin irritation. Those anti-inflammatory ingredients are tranexamic acid and dipotassium glycyrrhizinate. Tranexamic acid is included here mainly for preventing skin irritation, but since it also suppresses inflammation, it can help inhibit melanin production as well, offering benefits for spot prevention too. So even though the manufacturer lists it as being for "skin irritation prevention," I'd say it also effectively counts as a third spot-prevention ingredient. Plus, tranexamic acid and glycyrrhizinic acid work together for anti-irritation care, so you get solid anti-inflammatory action, excellent whitening effects, glycylglycine for combating oiliness, and moisturizing base ingredients — truly earning its reputation as an "ingredient monster." On top of that, it's free from various potentially irritating ingredients, including alcohol. Whitening essences often require alcohol to help dissolve certain ingredients, but since Hada Labo caters to people with dry or sensitive skin, alcohol could be irritating, so they use butylene glycol instead of ethanol, making it suitable for sensitive skin types as well. As for hyaluronic acid, it contains both low-molecular and adsorptive hyaluronic acid, but it also contains white fungus (Tremella) polysaccharide, which — like hyaluronic acid — draws in and retains water, effectively boosting moisture levels in the stratum corneum. It's said to be able to hold up to 500 times its own weight in water. So it has excellent water-retaining capacity, giving an image of skin that stays moisturized all day long once applied. In addition to the adsorptive hyaluronic acid forming a protective film, the essence also contains petrolatum (Vaseline). Being an oil-based ingredient — and of course a purified, refined type of petrolatum — it works similarly to the adsorptive hyaluronic acid by forming a protective film, helping to prevent daytime dryness while also delivering strong whitening and anti-irritation effects. Honestly, this is impressive. It's 2,640 yen (tax included) for 40mL. When something like this comes out, what are you supposed to do, right? As for the texture, when dispensed from the pump, it comes out as a slightly thick yet smooth essence. It blends into the skin quickly. Since it doesn't contain alcohol, there's no cooling or evaporating sensation — it goes in smoothly without any stinging, just like water. Because it contains adsorptive hyaluronic acid and petrolatum, it's not completely tack-free — there is a slight stickiness. But considering how gentle and well-absorbing it is, I think the quality is really impressive. Since this is a serum, it might be good to follow up with a cream or lotion if needed, but it moisturizes surprisingly well on its own — to the point where even people with oily skin who don't usually use Hada Labo products might find it sufficiently moisturizing by itself. For those who feel they haven't been taking care of their neck or décolletage, or those who hesitate to use department store cosmetics priced over 10,000 yen on their body, this essence would be gentle enough to use even on the neck without worry. The neck area can sometimes react with itching when using certain products, so in that sense, this seems like a great option to use more generously there as well.
