Hello everyone, this is Tamari Nitta. Today I want to introduce some summer skincare items that I've been using and think are amazing. I'll be sharing not just skincare goods but also some supplements today. Summer has its own unique concerns, right? Like sweating, or being hot outside but cold indoors due to air conditioning, and so on. So I'd like to share the six items that have really helped me this summer, things I've been glad to use specifically because it's summer. Please watch until the end. Let's start with the first one: this is the Seven Flow Herb Circulate Oil Summer Gel. It says "oil gel," but when you dispense it, it feels more like a cream, like a milky cream. When you spread it, it blends in smoothly. Apparently it can be used on the face too, but I use it as a body cream or in place of body oil. In summer you sweat quite a bit, right? Your body gets hot, and after a shower, if you apply something and it feels sticky, that alone can feel unpleasant—but this doesn't feel sticky at all. It says "Summer Gel," so maybe it's only released in summer—though I don't think that's actually the case, it's just labeled that way. What's great about this Summer Gel is that it contains my favorite vitamin C derivative. Apparently the DAYS vitamin C derivative is encapsulated, so more of it gets delivered than with regular products. Vitamin C derivative alone would already be pretty good, but what I found interesting is that it also contains a trending ingredient called Centella Asiatica extract (a "cica" ingredient). This "cica" ingredient became famous in places like Korea, known for its anti-inflammatory and soothing effects after sunburn—basically calming inflammation caused by sun damage. Some clinics even do cica packs after laser treatments. So since it contains vitamin C derivative, it can help calm inflammation after sun exposure, and vitamin C derivatives are also expected to have a brightening effect. So just for that, it's great to use in summer, but I also love that it addresses UV damage from another angle by including this cica ingredient that soothes inflammation. Plus, as I mentioned, the fact that it's not sticky is another point in its favor, so I've been using this all over my body this summer. Next is this: La Roche-Posay Serozinc Mist Toner for Sensitive Skin (Oily Skin type). I often use La Roche-Posay sunscreens too, and I think I've introduced their sunscreens a lot on YouTube, but this one might be something people know of but don't really know about. It says "sensitive skin" but also "oily skin." In Korea, I believe it's referred to as an "oil-absorbing mist," and it seems to suppress sebum for oily skin. The ingredients are also very simple—water, nitrogen, sodium chloride, zinc sulfate, and that's about it. The water used here comes from a village in France called La Roche-Posay, and apparently there's a spring there producing what's called "thermal water," which likely contains various mineral components. It's said to help calm inflammation, though I'm not sure how scientifically verified that is—it's more of a traditional belief about this water. But that's not all—the reason this is called an oil-absorbing mist for oily skin types is because it contains zinc sulfate. This zinc sulfate helps regulate sebum secretion, suppressing it when there's too much. So rather than using this for moisturizing on sensitive skin in summer, I use it more like a finishing mist afterward to help suppress oil production. I introduced the Curel mist a while back, but that one is more geared toward people with dry skin who don't produce much sebum, more like an inner-dry type. This one is better for people like me who have oily skin and produce a lot of oil. I really do have oily skin, and even now with a mask on, I get really shiny, so I've been using this as a finishing mist this summer—it's become one of my go-to items. Next are supplements. I'll introduce two at once: ReActive Doctor's Supplement Vitamin A + CE, and Sofina iP Chlorogenic Acid Tablets. I'm actually an ambassador for ReActive Doctor's Supplement, but what I genuinely like about it is that it properly contains vitamin A. I always talk about incorporating both "defensive" vitamin A and "offensive" vitamin A into skincare—things like retinol or retinyl palmitate applied daily—but actually, taking it internally as a supplement is also recommended. Especially for those with dry skin or those who get a lot of UV exposure causing skin inflammation, consistently getting enough vitamin A is important. However, one caution is that vitamin A is fat-soluble, so taking too much can cause it to accumulate in the body. So it's especially suited for people who get a lot of sun exposure or have irregular eating habits. I actually go to the park a lot with my kids—especially during summer break, there's hardly a day we don't go, so on my days off from work I go there quite often. In that sense, I try to be mindful of my diet, but I still want to make sure I'm getting enough vitamin A. Also, as I mentioned before in a live stream and in a video, I have pretty bad dry eyes, and I've heard that vitamin A may help with that too, so that's another reason I think this is good for me. Plus it has vitamin C and E—vitamin C's benefits go without saying, with strong antioxidant properties, and vitamin E itself also has good antioxidant effects and promotes blood circulation, so it's something I definitely want to take in summer, and I've been using it. The other one is the chlorogenic acid tablets. I introduced a drink version of this before—chlorogenic acid increases skin blood flow, which in turn raises skin moisture levels, so I described it as good for people with dry skin. But this time, I realized it's great for summer for a different reason: improving microcirculation helps with the summer cold sensation. It's scorching hot outside, but when you go indoors, the air conditioning is blasting, and at first it feels great, but gradually your hands and feet start feeling cold. Especially if you're wearing a tank top or sandals with a lot of skin exposed, your hands and feet can get cold—this is linked to reduced blood flow in the extremities. So, well, there's actually a lot more in the package originally, but it's dwindled down now—each pouch contains 6 tablets. It's kind of like a Frisk case; I keep it with me, and when I feel a bit cold after coming inside, I take one, and it seems to improve blood circulation a bit. It doesn't make my whole body warm, but I do feel like it slightly improves the coldness in my hands and feet. Chlorogenic acid is known to improve blood flow in peripheral blood vessels—like in the hands, feet, and face—by improving capillary circulation. So in that sense, I've rediscovered how great these chlorogenic acid tablets are for dealing with the summer cold caused by air conditioning, and I carry this pouch in my bag. Isn't it convenient that it's portable like this? There are times you don't expect to need it, so having it individually packaged like this is really helpful. It's become one of the supplements I sneak into my bag this summer. That wraps up the skincare items I recommend for summer, or rather, the ones I've been using and loving this summer. Next is a bonus segment—this isn't skincare, so feel free to skip it if you want, but I really wanted to introduce something I highly recommend. It's this: a Kinokuniya eco bag, or rather a vinyl bag. This is a common type, basically a regular vinyl-type bag, but this pink one was a limited edition, and I thought the pink was so cute. Since I often go to the park for water play, I thought it'd be great and bought it. What I liked most about it is this—it has a shoulder strap, so you can wear it diagonally across your body, like this. And it opens up like this—it opens wide, so it has both the width and the height to fit things in, so a plastic water bottle fits in easily. You can put water, your phone, your wallet in it, no problem, and you can close it with one snap here—and open it again with one touch. You can leave it open and spread out like this, or if you're worried about things falling out, you can just snap it shut. Also, isn't the color cute? I bought pink, but there's also green, blue, and other colors—I thought it was really great. And the price wasn't too bad either—I think it was under 2000 yen, maybe around 1500 yen. I bought it online, from Kinokuniya's online store. This summer, when I go to the park, I usually put a water bottle in this, along with a change of clothes, and head out for water play. It has nothing to do with skincare, but I thought it'd be nice to share something like this once in a while. I think it's probably still available on Kinokuniya's online store. And isn't it stylish? Maybe it's just me, but I think it's cute, so I wanted to share it as a bonus. So, to summarize, today I introduced a body milk, an oil-absorbing mist for oily skin, a vitamin A supplement, and a chlorogenic acid supplement as the skincare items, and at the end, as a bonus, I introduced the vinyl bag I've been using. The list might have felt a bit long at the end, but these are genuinely things I recommend, and I'd love to keep sharing more things with you all, not just skincare. If you found this helpful, please leave a comment letting me know! Thank you so much for watching until the end today. I'll see you in the next video. Bye!
