There are really so many great drugstore cosmetics out there, aren't there? I've introduced various products before, but this time I found something that impressed me again after a while. When it comes to creams, moisturizing is usually the main focus, but more and more products are coming out that offer moisturizing plus additional benefits. Since this is the dry season, I hope this will be helpful for everyone. So let's start with the first one: Time Secret Mineral Moist Barrier Cream. This is a cream, but it comes in a tube, which is a bit unusual, right? Creams are usually pot-type, so being able to squeeze it out onto your hand like this is interesting. It spreads smoothly, and the scent is a refreshing rosemary fragrance. It's not very sticky, and it feels moisturizing with a plump feeling from the inside. Second, there's an oil-soluble vitamin C that dissolves well in oil and works gradually. Third, there's a water-soluble vitamin C that provides immediate effects. And finally, there's ascorbic acid, pure vitamin C. So it's not an exaggeration to say that basically every type of vitamin C is included. Plus, it contains niacinamide and herbal ingredients that help prevent skin roughness. So I think this is great for people who are concerned about both sebum and pores, but during this dry season, still want to use a proper moisturizing cream without it feeling too sticky. The product has a slightly yellowish tint, and when applied to the skin, being a gel cream, it blends in smoothly. The texture is rather watery, but it still has a good sense of moisture. I think this texture is great for people who dislike stickiness but are also concerned about their pores. Next is: Tune Makers Undiluted Essence Moisturizing Cream. What's interesting about this Tune Makers brand is that they clearly state the ratio of ingredients used. This particular cream contains ceramide at a ratio of 5, argan oil at 3, hyaluronic acid at 3, and squalane at 2. The reason I think this is so great is that moisturizing can be broadly divided into two types: ingredients that maintain internal water content, and ingredients that form a protective film. If this balance is off, no matter how much you moisturize, you might end up with breakouts or insufficient hydration. Generally, it's best to prioritize water-retention ingredients while adding a bit of oil on top. For very dry skin types, adding a bit more film-forming ingredients works well. For those using cream for the first time, I think it's better to choose a cream that focuses on bringing water into the skin rather than one that mainly forms an oily film. With that in mind, this cream has a solid ratio of ceramide and hyaluronic acid—ingredients that draw water into the skin—and it also properly includes argan oil, which forms a protective film. Seeing this ratio made me feel that this cream has an excellent balance between drawing in moisture and sealing it with a film. For those who dislike the stickiness of creams, or who feel like their skin isn't truly hydrated even though a film is formed but doesn't feel plump on the inside, I think this would make an excellent introductory cream. The texture is probably the thickest among the three, but it glides on smoothly. Perhaps because of the ceramide content, it has a momentarily watery feel. But as you apply it, this watery texture sinks in while the argan oil properly forms a protective film—it really feels like a pleasant cream to use. To summarize: the Time Secret cream is great for those who want to focus on preventing skin roughness while also moisturizing. The Derma Laser VC Gel Cream is great for those concerned about pores, who usually focus on sebum control but are also concerned about dryness during this season. And the Tune Makers Undiluted Essence Moisturizing Cream is great for those who feel that cream doesn't provide enough moisture, want to use cream, but dislike stickiness. How was that?
