みなさんこんにちは！友利新です！ 今日は「7月出会ってよかったもの」です！出会ってよかったものの中で、出会ったんだけどもうさよならしなきゃいけないから「本当に出会ってよかった、また来てほしい」みたいな、出会いと別れみたいなところもあるし、夏だから暑いっていうところも全体的にあるので、ちょっと1個ずつ見ていこうかなと思います。 出会いと別れがあるのがこちらです。これ、大正製薬さんの「マイトル」っていうシリーズから出ているシートマスクなの。これすごいシートマスクなんです。何がすごいかっていうと、ヘパリン類似物質がシートマスクになってるの。ヘパリンっていうと化粧水だったりスプレーだったりはあるけど、私が知ってる限りこれ本当に唯一だと思うの。ヘパリンっていうのは本当に私たちが医療でも使うぐらいしっかりとした保湿の成分なのね。だけどシートマスクって意外とないのよ。これ、なんでかっていうと、シートマスクにするのがかなり難しいんだと思う、技術的に。だけどマイトルさんってやっぱり大正製薬さんじゃない？大正製薬さんって実はこのヘパリン類似物質、自分たちで作ってるの。それもあって多分これがシートマスクに慣れてるんだと思うのよ。薬用のヘパリン類似物質がシートマスクで入ってきてるなんて、保湿のシートマスクとしては最強じゃないと思ったのね。 ただ別れがあるって言ったじゃない。これ7月にやっちゃったの、6月までの限定発売だったの。たまたま私は残りの在庫があったからなんだけど、多分これもうないと思うんだよね。でもこれが本当に必要なのは秋冬だと思うわけ。だからどうして大正製薬さんは6月に終わらせてしまったのか。できれば秋冬に向けて再販していただきたいなんて私は思ってるわけですよ。出会った時にはもうさよならが決まってるなんて悲しいじゃない。なのでちょっとこれを見てる大正製薬さんの関係者の皆さん、私これが素晴らしいと思っておりますので、再販していただければすごく嬉しいなと思って、ご紹介させていただきました。 あとはこちらですね、ドクターKの「Kコントロール リペアセラム」なんですけど、これ先行美容液なんですよ。顔洗って一番最初につけるんだけど、実はリニューアルなんです。前のやつも良かったから、なんでリニューアルしたんだろうなと思ったら、一番大きな理由はNMNの誘導体を入れてるの。NMNって言うと、私の中でちょっと怪しいサプリみたいになっちゃってるところがあると思うんだけれども、その誘導体っていうのが、私が知ってる限りでは初めて入ってるのね。 NMNって何のイメージ？若返りなのか老化防止なのかっていう、そうじゃない？NMNっていうのはサーチュイン遺伝子を刺激して長生きさせるみたいなのが一時期話題になって、それでサプリがすごく多くなったのね。サーチュイン遺伝子って何ですか？これが若返りの遺伝子って呼ばれてるもので、それを活性化するから、NMN飲んだらもう老けないみたいな感じだったんだけど、肌で何が起こってるかっていうと、元々NMNっていうのはビタミンB3、ナイアシンアミド由来の成分なんだ。それがNAD+っていうものを増加させて、NAD+が増加するとサーチュイン遺伝子を活性化するっていうところになって、このNAD+を上げていくっていうのがNMNなんで、すり鉢毛穴になるところには炎症が起こってるから、この炎症を止めるためにもビタミンとNAD+っていうのが必要だから、そのNAD+を増やしてくれるNMNも必要。あとNMNが入ることによって細胞が元気になるから、そうするとコラーゲンを作るような細胞も元気になるからハリも出るっていう。今まではほんとすり鉢毛穴とか皮脂が多いところだけだったんだけど、それに一言で言うとエージングケアが入ったから、パワーアップしてくれて嬉しいなって思った。 天才って思ったのが「Kコントロール Cクリアホワイトローション」。もともとはパシャパシャ使うものだったんだけど、これが期間限定で、ほら、シュッシュもかけられるし、一番いいのは背中よ。どうしても最近デコルテだったり背中を出すお洋服が流行って、ここはしっかりケアされてるのに顔はね、あと首とかまでしてるのに、背中が微妙ねみたいになったら困るから、背中もできるし、お風呂上がり暑くて化粧水つけると汗があっていう時も、これでパサーってとりあえずかけといて、デコルテとか背中とかまで一旦かけて、っていうところもあるから、これ考えた人天才だと思う。ただこれも期間限定なんだよね、数量限定だったかな。これ取ったらつけられるのかなとか、いろいろ考えてるので、ちょっと怖くて、無くなったら分解してみようかなと思うんだけど、多分普通につけられる感じじゃないので。よかったら、いつも使ってる人もそうだし、もともとドクターKっていうのはビタミンカクテルって言って、ビタミンCを基準にしていろんなビタミンの相乗効果で、毛穴はそうだけれども美白もそうですし、全体的な肌の透明感を上げていくっていうようなものが独自の成分で入っているので、それをしっかりと肌全体に行き渡らせるっていうのはすごくいいなと思って、これも入れました。 「ランコムさん早く言ってよ」っていう感じでこちらなんですけれども、これランコムの「UVエクスペール エクストリームシールド」っていう日焼け止めなの。これしれっと4月とか5月ぐらいに発売になってて、4月以降って新しいものが出るっていう感じじゃなかった。ランコムってロレアルグループが作っていて、もともとUVAとか紫外線に対してすっごく研究してるの。今回このエクスペール エクストリームシールドに入ってるのは、ロレアルグループで最新のテクノロジーが入ってるの。それが膜を塗るじゃない、一回膜が剥がれても自動でくっつくっていう。だから塗って剥がれにくいだけじゃなくて、破れにくいっていうものになってるの。これが唯一、多分日本で売られている日焼け止めの中で入ったっていう。塗り心地も悪くないわけよ。しっかりと白いんだけれども、塗るとピタッと止まる感じ。いつまでも伸びるわけじゃなくて、ピタッと止まるし、サラサラ感の不思議なサラサラ感だから、メイクを上に重ねたとしても全然嫌な感じがしない上に、例えば表情を作って割れちゃったとしても、ちゃんと自動でオートマティックに戻るようなテクノロジーなんですよ。最新のテクノロジー入れたいなっていう人はこちらおすすめなので、これも出会ってよかったなと思っております。 ヒステカの化粧直しっていうので最強の私が見つけたんですよ。それがこれでございます。「メイクキープ オイルブロック紙パウダー」紙パウダー。これね、一見普通の油取り紙みたいに見えるんだけど、ここにメイクキープのパウダーが付いてる。皮脂を吸着するパウダーが付いてるんですよ。だから油取り紙で油を取った後にパウダーが吸着してくれるっていう素晴らしいアイテムなわけ。吸収しながら抑えてくれるみたいな。そうだしもうサラサラになるの、パウダーが付くから。だから私は最近お鼻と顎のところとか、こういう毛穴が気になるところはこれで抑えて、抑えただけでパウダーをはたいたみたいにサラサラになるから、それで抑えられるわけ。 でも目の下とかは、そもそも乾燥しがちでファンデーションがよれやすいわけ。ここに油取り紙とかサラサラのパウダーをしたら乾燥しちゃうわけ。どうしようかなと思ってる時に出会ったのがこれ、ディセンシアの「ホワイト FL BBクリーム」。そもそもこれ自体にトランシーノ酸が入っているから、紫外線が当たった時の指令をまず抑えてくれるっていうところもあるし、プラスアルファ、ディセンシアって敏感肌用のブランドなので保湿力もしっかりあって、プラスアルファ、トランシーノ酸も入ってるし、なんといってもこうやって塗るじゃない、こうすると艶感が出るの分かる？ここにちょっと塗っていくと艶っぽく、水々しくはなるんだけれども、よれも直してくれるし、トランシーノ酸も補給できるし、艶感が出るしっていう。目の下のこのシワ感とかを気にする人には、これはもうもってこいだと思う。だから私はこの辺は油田、でもこの辺はちょっと砂漠、油田そう、やっぱり油と砂漠が混在してるから、いるんですよ両方。この辺はこれで保湿をしながら、ここは油を取ってパウダーを、っていう。これは最近このポーチに入って、必ず化粧直しの時に使ってるので、これちょっと出会ってよかったなと思っている次第でございます。 7月はさ、かなりいろんなユーチューバーさんが出したと思うんだけど、それがこのシャネルのリップティントなんですよ。これびっくり落ちないわけ。一応今日私塗ってるんです。なるほど。行きましょうか、やってみましょう。はい、落ちない、すごい。全然つかない。結構ついてるよね、これ普通に。この色の部分を塗った後に、こっちがグロスになってるから、グロスをつけてウルウルさせるってところもあって、時間が経つとこのグロスはなくなっていくし、こうやってやるとグロスの部分は取れるのよ。だけど色は落ちないのよ。すごいよね。 取れないことでマイナスはないんですか？やっぱりクレンジングしっかりしなきゃいけないから、だからちょっと唇の弱みは心配っていうところがあって、私結構唇意外と弱みになる。でもそれがびっくり、なんでだろう。だからちょっと不思議。これは会食とか、意外と落ちちゃうよリップって、そういう時にはいいなと思って。 あとはこれ、炭酸のセラム、泡の頭皮のセラム。これこうやってシュッて頭に、気持ちよくなってやるんだけど、これ私が言ってるZACCっていうところのオリジナルのもので、最近も暑いじゃん、頭洗った後にこれをやると、めっちゃ気持ちいいの。炭酸って血流が良くなるから、ちょっと上がったような感じがするから、すっごいこれ気持ちいい。セラムって栄養的なもの、栄養を与えるので、マッサージしながら白髪予防だったりとか抜け毛予防だったりとかもなっていいです。結構めんどくさくなるじゃん、こういうのって。だけど炭酸で気持ちいいのよ。この時期はめちゃくちゃやりたくなる。だからまたちょっと私の中で復活して、やりたくなってるので、よかったら探してみていただいて。これはやっぱりすごくいいなと思いました。 この前さ、鈴木さんじゃない、別のメイクさんにメイクをしてもらった時に、その方が使っていたもので、すごいなと思ったのが、これホットビューラーなの。温めてね、温めてこうやってやるんだけど、意外とこれがパワーがすごく強いのと、いろんなものが一緒についてきてて、このコームでまつ毛を一本一本綺麗にするのをまずやって、コームだったりとか、アイラインをこう描けるようなすごいアイテムだったり、目をこうさ、こうやってやっとくとマスカラをつける時にこのまぶたにつかないとか、これオールマイティなことがいっぱいついてるわけ。これね、アマゾンで私買ったんだけれども、結構熱量も高くて、しっかりまつ毛が上がるの。めちゃくちゃ良くて、おすすめしたもの買うっていいなと思ったので、これもご紹介してみました。 最近ネガティブさんに心の中で出会ってないですか？これですね、『心の中のネガティブさんと上手に付き合う方法』。これね、ちょっともう本当にみんなに読んでほしい。ネガティブさんがいない人っていないと思う。だからネガティブさんを消しましょう、じゃなくて、上手く付き合う方法っていうのを、精神科医のトミー先生が書かれた本で。実はトミー先生と私、7月の上旬かな、初めてお会いしてお話しして、それでご紹介いただいたんですけども、目から鱗よ。ネガティブさんが出てきた時にこういう風にしたらいいよとか、そんな無理しなくていいよみたいなことを、ちゃんと医学的なことをベースに書いてあるので、今いろんなことに悩んでたりする人にはぴったりだし、先生がその時にも言ってた、「頭がお暇になりやすい人」、頭がお暇になりやすいとネガティブさんが出てくるよっていうことを、その時にもおっしゃってて、それをもっと深掘りして書いてくれてるので、一冊あったらネガティブになる時にいいかなと思って、これも出してみました。 美容に戻るんだけど、これ見て、シルコットのこれね、ビタミンCが染み込んでるやつ。化粧水とか入れると、ビタミンC入ってなくても、ビタミンCがついてシルコットになるっていう。ビタミンC入ってないやつでやってもいいんですね。ビタミンCがコットンに塗布されてるから、シミ対策になるわけ。これも結構良くない？化粧水をさ、ピピってつけて、ちょっと1分ぐらい自分でパックみたいなパットみたいな、あれが自分でできるっていうものになるので、結構これはおすすめです。成分的には全然いいんですね。全然問題ないです。これもぜひ、これもご紹介しました。 あとはちょっと雑貨っぽくなるんだけど、これ何でしょう？分かった、エコバッグ。そうなの、可愛くない？エコバッグになってて、エコバッグには珍しく内ポケットが付いてる。これよく見るとクリームソーダ。本当だ、クリームソーダで。チカザレースさんっていうレースの専門店って言えばいいのかな、のオリジナルのエコバッグで、夏限定のやつで。なんで私がチカザレースさんを知ったかっていうと、若菜さんっていう方が昔からマキアの編集でお世話になってるんだけど、その方からお誕生日のプレゼントかなにハンドタオルをもらったの。それがチカザレースさんのやつで、めちゃくちゃ可愛いの。いろんなレースで、花より団子だったらお団子が付いてたりとか、スイカだったらスイカがレースで甘えてたりとか、すっごい可愛くって、なんか私も買いたいなと思って見たら、もうやっぱり売り切れてるのよすぐに。タオルが買えなかったから、その中でいろんなもの見たら、これが可愛いなと思って、ちょっと買ってみました。なのでこれからちょっと私はチカザレースデビューをして、いろいろ集めてみようかなと思って。そしてその話をしたら、若菜さんが私のアイテムを今度見せてあげるって言って、すっごいたくさん持ってらっしゃる。それで本当に見たいなと思って、いつかYouTubeでできたらいいなと思って。見たいなと思う方は、ぜひこのコメント欄に書いていただければと思います。 私といえば美容系だけじゃなくて、何系？ガジェット系YouTuberとしては、まずこのフジフィルムの「X half」っていうカメラを買ったんですよ。これ何かっていうと、ハーフカメラって言って、フィルムカメラがあるじゃない？横にさ、24枚撮りとか36枚撮りなんだけど、もったいないからそれを半分にして、要は2倍撮れるっていう、ハーフカメラってのが昔あったんだ。半分にして？でもさ横だからさ、ハーフにすると今でいう縦型になるわけ。縦で2枚あるってことですか？そう。だからこれパシャって撮ると、普通にインスタに上げる。フジフィルムといえばフィルム会社じゃない？だからいろんなフィルムがあるわけ。フィルムシミュレーションって言って、ちょっとノスタルジックだったり、ちょっとビビッドに見せたりみたいな、普通っぽく見えたりとかっていうのがパシャパシャ撮れるし、これめっちゃ軽いのよ。だから最近私は今日のスナップみたいな感じでいっぱい撮って、インスタに上げるようにしてる。最近ちょっとこれをカバンの中に入れてるんだけど、そもそもこれを欲しいと思ったきっかけがあって、それがこれなんだけど、元々あって、これもフィルムシミュレーションがあって、それの親子みたいじゃない？可愛いと思って、あんまりこれのスペックも知らずに、可愛い親子みたいって買ったら、これがめっちゃいいっていう。このX halfは写真初心者の人にもすごく軽くていいし、懐かしい写真が撮れる。よかったらガジェット系YouTuberとしてはいいですよね。 ということで7月はね、まだ新しい新作がそんなに当てたわけじゃないから、季節的なものだったりとかっていうものになるので、8月はまたいろんなものに出会えたら嬉しいなと思って。8月は結構メイクものが出てくるから、ちょっとメイクもので気になるものもいくつかあるので、それがまた出てくればいいかなと思ってます。 Hello everyone! This is Arata Tomori! Today I'm sharing the items I was glad to encounter in July! Among the things I'm glad I encountered, there are some I have to say goodbye to even though I met them—so it's like "I'm really glad I found this, I hope it comes back"—there's this kind of meeting-and-parting aspect. And since it's summer, hot weather is also a factor overall, so let me go through them one by one. The first one that has this meeting-and-parting story is this sheet mask from Taisho Pharmaceutical's "Mitor" series. This is an amazing sheet mask. What makes it amazing is that it's a heparinoid sheet mask. You see heparinoid in lotions and sprays, but as far as I know, this is truly the only one. Heparinoid is a moisturizing ingredient solid enough that we even use it in medicine, but sheet masks with it are surprisingly rare. I think this is because it's technically quite difficult to make into a sheet mask. But Mitor is from Taisho Pharmaceutical after all—they actually manufacture this heparinoid themselves. That's probably why they're skilled at making it into a sheet mask. Having medicated heparinoid come in a sheet mask form—I thought this was the ultimate in moisturizing sheet masks. But I said there was a parting—this ended in July. It was a limited release only until June. I happened to have leftover stock, but I don't think there's any more of it. However, I think this is something that's really needed in fall and winter. So why did Taisho Pharmaceutical end it in June? I really wish they'd re-release it for fall/winter. It's sad to have the goodbye already decided at the moment of meeting. So, to any Taisho Pharmaceutical staff watching this, I think this product is wonderful, so I'd be so happy if you could re-release it. That's why I introduced this one. Next is Dr.K's "K Control Repair Serum," which is a pre-essence—the first thing you apply after washing your face. This is actually a renewal. The previous version was good too, so I wondered why they renewed it, and the biggest reason is that they added an NMN derivative. When you hear NMN, it might sound like a sketchy supplement ingredient, but as far as I know, this derivative form is included for the first time. What image do you have of NMN? Anti-aging or rejuvenation, right? NMN became a hot topic for stimulating sirtuin genes and promoting longevity, which led to a boom in supplements. What is a sirtuin gene? It's called the "rejuvenation gene," and activating it gives the impression that taking NMN prevents aging. But what actually happens in the skin is: NMN originally comes from vitamin B3, niacinamide. It increases NAD+, and increased NAD+ activates the sirtuin gene. So increasing NAD+ is what NMN does. Since inflammation occurs in areas prone to "mortar-shaped pores," you need vitamins and NAD+ to stop this inflammation, so NMN, which increases NAD+, is also necessary. Also, adding NMN energizes cells, which in turn energizes collagen-producing cells, giving more firmness. Previously it was just about mortar-shaped pores and excess sebum, but now, in short, anti-aging care has been added, making it more powerful—I was happy about that. What I thought was genius is the "K Control C Clear White Lotion." Originally it was meant to be patted on, but this is a limited-time spray version—look, you can spray it too. It's especially great for the back. Lately, clothes that show the décolletage or back have become trendy, and it would be a shame if your face, neck, etc. are well cared for but your back looks lackluster. You can use it on your back too. And after a bath when it's hot and applying lotion feels sweaty, you can just spray this on, covering the décolletage and back at once—whoever thought of this is a genius. But this is also limited-time, maybe limited quantity. I keep wondering if I can refill it once it's empty, so I'm a bit scared—I might try disassembling it once it runs out, but I don't think it's meant to be refilled normally. Anyway, if you're already a fan, or new to it—Dr.K's concept is "vitamin cocktail," based on vitamin C with synergistic effects from various vitamins, addressing pores, whitening, and overall skin transparency with their proprietary ingredients. Being able to apply this thoroughly all over the skin is great, so I included this too. Next is something I feel like saying "Lancôme, you should've told me sooner!" about—this is Lancôme's "UV Expert Extreme Shield" sunscreen. It quietly launched around April or May. Lancôme is made by L'Oréal Group, which has done extensive research on UVA and UV rays. This Expert Extreme Shield contains L'Oréal Group's latest technology—it forms a film on the skin, and even if the film cracks, it automatically reattaches itself. So it's not just resistant to peeling off, but also resistant to cracking. This is apparently the only sunscreen sold in Japan with this feature. The texture isn't bad either—it's properly white, but once applied, it sets in place. It doesn't keep spreading forever; it sets firmly, with a strange smooth, powdery finish, so even layering makeup over it doesn't feel unpleasant. And even if your expression causes it to crack, it automatically returns to its original state thanks to this technology. If you want the latest technology, I recommend this one—I'm glad I encountered this too. As for touch-up makeup from Hysteric (?), I found the ultimate item for me. It's this "Makeup Keep Oil Block Powder Paper." At first glance, it looks like ordinary oil-blotting paper, but it has makeup-keeping powder attached that absorbs sebum. So after blotting oil with the paper, the powder adsorbs onto your skin—amazing item. It absorbs while also controlling shine, and it becomes smooth because the powder adheres. So lately, for areas like my nose and chin where pores are a concern, I use this to blot, and it becomes smooth like it's been powdered, controlling shine there. But under the eyes tends to be dry, and foundation there tends to crease. If I use oil-blotting paper or powder there, it would dry out further. While wondering what to do, I found this—Decencia's "White FL BB Cream." This itself contains tranexamic acid, which suppresses the signals triggered by UV exposure. Plus, Decencia is a brand for sensitive skin, so it has solid moisturizing power, plus tranexamic acid, and what's more, when you apply it like this—see the glow? When you apply a little here, it becomes glowy and dewy, but it also fixes creasing, replenishes tranexamic acid, and gives a glow. For people concerned about fine lines under the eyes, this is perfect. So for me, this area is "oil field," but this area is a bit "desert"—both oily and dry areas coexist, so I moisturize here with this, and blot oil and apply powder there. This has recently been in my pouch, and I always use it for touch-ups, so I'm glad I encountered this too. In July, many YouTubers featured this—Chanel's lip tint. This is surprisingly long-lasting. I actually have it on today. Let's try it. See, it doesn't come off, amazing, right? It doesn't transfer at all. You apply this color part, and there's a gloss layer on top for a plump, glossy look, and over time the gloss fades, and when you rub it like this, the gloss part comes off, but the color doesn't come off. Amazing, right? Isn't there a downside to it not coming off? You do need to cleanse thoroughly, so there's a bit of concern about lip sensitivity—my lips can be somewhat sensitive—but surprisingly it was fine, which surprised me. I wonder why. So this is great for situations like dinner parties where lipstick tends to come off easily. Next, this carbonated foam scalp serum. You spray it onto your scalp like this—it feels so good. This is an original product from ZACC, which I always talk about. Lately it's been hot, and after washing your hair, using this feels amazing. Carbonation improves blood circulation, giving a lifted feeling—it's so refreshing. Serums provide nourishment, so massaging with it can help prevent gray hair and hair loss too. This kind of routine can feel like a hassle, but the carbonation makes it feel so good that you want to do it especially in this season. So this has made a comeback for me, and I want to keep doing it—if you're interested, look it up. I thought this was really great. Recently, when a different makeup artist did my makeup—not Suzuki-san, someone else—I was impressed by something she used: a heated eyelash curler. You heat it up and use it like this. It has surprisingly strong power, and it comes with various accessories—a comb to neatly separate lashes first, an eyeliner tool for drawing lines, and something to prevent mascara from getting on your eyelid when applying—it's really all-in-one. I bought this on Amazon, and it has quite strong heat, curling lashes really well. It's great that a recommended item turned out to be this good, so I introduced this too. Have you met "Mr./Ms. Negative" in your mind lately? This book, "How to Get Along Well with the Negative Person in Your Heart"—I really want everyone to read this. I don't think there's anyone without a negative side. So instead of "let's eliminate the negative," it's about how to get along with it well—written by psychiatrist Dr. Tommy. Actually, I met Dr. Tommy for the first time in early July, and we talked, and that's how I got introduced to this book—it was truly eye-opening. It explains, based on medical knowledge, what to do when negative feelings arise, or that it's okay not to force yourself. It's perfect for anyone struggling with various worries right now. The doctor also mentioned that people whose minds tend to become "idle" are more prone to negative thoughts, and the book goes deeper into that topic. Having one copy on hand could help when negativity strikes, so I introduced this too. Going back to beauty—look at this, Silcot's vitamin C-infused cotton. Even if your lotion doesn't contain vitamin C, once applied to this cotton, it becomes vitamin C-infused. So you can use it even with lotion that doesn't have vitamin C, since the vitamin C is already coating the cotton, helping with spot care. This is pretty great too—you apply lotion, pat it on, leave it for about a minute, like making your own pack or pad—it's quite recommended. Is it fine ingredient-wise? Yes, completely fine. So I introduced this too. Next, something a bit more like miscellaneous goods—guess what this is? An eco bag! Right, isn't it cute? It's an eco bag with an unusually rare inner pocket. Look closely—it's a cream soda design! This is from Chikazare Lace, an original lace specialty shop's summer-limited eco bag. I got to know Chikazare Lace because Wakana-san, who has long been my editor at Maquia, gave me a hand towel as a birthday gift, and it was from Chikazare Lace—incredibly cute, with various lace motifs like dumplings for "flowers over dumplings" or watermelon-shaped lace decorations. I wanted to buy one myself, but they were sold out immediately. Since I couldn't get the towel, I looked at other items and found this cute one, so I bought it. So from now on, I might start collecting more Chikazare Lace items. When I mentioned this to Wakana-san, she said she'd show me her collection sometime—she apparently has a ton. Gadget-related YouTuber, apparently! First, I bought Fujifilm's "X half" camera. What is this? It's called a "half camera"—with film cameras, you know how you get 24 or 36 shots per roll? To avoid wasting film, they split it in half, doubling the number of shots—that's the old "half camera" concept. Since it's originally landscape, halving it makes it portrait-oriented, like now. So does that mean two shots side by side? Yes. So when you snap a photo, you can post it directly to Instagram. Fujifilm being a film company, they have various "film simulations"—giving a nostalgic look, vivid look, or a normal look—all easily captured, and this camera is super lightweight. So lately I've been taking lots of "today's snapshot"-style photos and posting them on Instagram. I've been carrying this in my bag recently. The reason I wanted this in the first place was this other camera—it also has film simulations, and it looks like the parent to this one's child, so cute—I bought it without knowing much about the specs, just because it looked like a cute parent-child pair, and it turned out to be amazing. This X half is great for beginners in photography—lightweight and gives nostalgic-feeling photos. If you're interested, I guess I'm a gadget YouTuber now too! So that's July—since not many brand-new items launched, it ended up being more seasonal items overall. I hope to encounter various new things in August too.
