30年ぶりにリニューアルされた「伝説のデパコス美容液」について熱く語ります。

皆さんこんにちは、たまり新多です。 伝説のデパコスといえばいろいろあると思うんですが、コスメデコルテの「モイスチャーリポソーム」が、なんと約30年ぶりにリニューアルしました。 どういった製品になったかというと、こちらです。「コスメデコルテ リポソーム アドバンスト リペアセラム」です。そしてこちらがリニューアル前の「コスメデコルテ モイスチャーリポソーム」です。 そもそも、どうしてモイスチャーリポソームが「伝説のデパコス」と呼ばれるようになったのか、ざっくりおさらいすると、リポソームというのはドラッグデリバリーシステム(DDS)と言って、お薬をどうやって体の中に届けるかという研究が常に行われているんですね。その一つがこのリポソームになります。 もともと医療の分野でリポソームというのは、薬をカプセル状にして届けるもので、多重層リポソームと言うんですけれども、それをどうにか化粧品に入れられないかと考えたのがコスメデコルテです。コスメデコルテというのはコーセーのブランドになります。1990年代に、コーセーの研究員の方が、医療用のリポソームを化粧品にできないかというところがスタートになっています。 カプセルを作るリン脂質という油があるんですが、これが細胞膜に非常によく似ているので、このリン脂質でできた多重層構造のリポソームだと、しっかりと肌細胞にも馴染んでドラッグデリバリーシステムの役割をしてくれるんじゃないかというところに目をつけたのが、コーセーの研究員さんなんですね。 日本で初めてこのリポソームというものを化粧品に入れたのが、このコスメデコルテのモイスチャーリポソームです。リポソームはどういった働きをするかというと、角質層に入り込んで角質の保湿を高めてくれるわけですよ。もともと多重構造のリポソーム自体がリン脂質の膜で包まれているから、角質の修復をしっかりしてくれる。使い続けていくうちに肌が強くなっていくような、肌のバリア機能が整うことで肌自体が元気になっていく。細胞膜と似た構造だからこそできることで、肌の土台をしっかりと強固にしてくれるというものになります。 リポソームに似たような多重構造のカプセル化技術はいろいろあるんですが、リポソームとちゃんと呼んでいいものを入れているのは、今でもこのコスメデコルテのものしかありません。カプセル状のものはいろいろあるんですが、細胞膜に浸透しやすいリポソームを作って入れているというのは、本当にコスメデコルテのものしか、30年経っても他にないわけですよ。 じゃあどうしてこれをリニューアルしようと思ったか。リポソームというもの自体もどんどん進化しているわけですよ。ただ、技術を安定化させるのに7、8年くらいかかっているんですよ。だから新しいリポソームを常に、たぶんコーセーの人たちは考えたと思うんですけれども、肌を蘇らせる美容液になるようなリポソームを一生懸命考えたものが、この新しい「リポソーム アドバンスト リペアセラム」に入っています。それが「新・多重層バイオリポソーム」というものです。 この多重層リポソームのすごいところは即効性らしいです。もともとリポソーム自体はリン脂質の膜でできているので肌になじみやすいんですけれども、アドバンスト リペアセラムに入っているリポソームは、さらに肌なじみがいいようにリポソームの形を変えているので、即効性でその角質層にダイレクトに浸透していき、つけてすぐに潤いを感じるというのが新しい特徴になってきます。 肌に浸透していくだけじゃなくて、角質と一言で言っても、上部・中間層・下層というものがあって、特に中間層と下層にしっかりとリポソームが入っていきます。特に中間層というのが、細胞間脂質やNMFというものが多く含まれているところなんですが、しっかりと潤うことで角質の中間層に厚みを持たせて、肌のバリア機能や乾燥感を防ぐんですね。この新しい多重層リポソームは、そこにダイレクトにグッといって、ケラチンネットワークといって肌細胞のネットワークを整えてくれる役割をしてくれるんです。 それが浸透して長くそこに居続けることで、ずっと保湿成分がカプセルから浸透して居座り、カプセルの中から保湿成分をずっとジワジワと出してくれる。だから角質の中間部・下層部分で水分を保持しながら、ジワジワと保湿成分を出していくという、持続性も速効性もかなえている美容液です。 そして新しく加わった美容成分もあります。それが「ビフィズス菌発酵エキス」というものと「HPA酵母発酵エキス」というものになります。どちらも発酵系のものなんですが、特にビフィズス菌発酵エキスというのは、皮膚のターンオーバーを自然に促してくれるものになります。 もう一つ、HPA酵母発酵エキスというのは、真皮に関わるものです。真皮の奥の方にあるコラーゲンは、だいたい20種類ぐらいあると言われているんですけれども、1型が一番多いです。その次に3型のコラーゲンが多いんですね。1型と3型がメインで真皮のコラーゲンはできているんですけれども、このコスメデコルテのアドバンスト リペアセラムに入っているHPA酵母発酵エキスというのは、3型コラーゲンの産生を促進すると言われている成分になります。真皮の線維芽細胞自体も活性化して、真皮のハリ感や真皮の生まれ変わりを促してくれる。 角質はリポソームで、表皮の方はビフィズス菌発酵エキスで、奥の真皮というのはHPA酵母発酵エキスでいくという、上中下を全部コンプリートしたというものになります。 1個前のリポソームには、これは今回できなかったんだろうなと思うような成分がいくつか入っていたんですね。それはたぶんリポソームの安定を図るために入れていた成分だと思います。それが「オキシベンゾン-5」というのと「メトキシケイヒ酸エチルヘキシル」というものになります。これは紫外線吸収剤なんですね。日焼け止めなどにも使われる成分なんですけれども、たぶんこのリポソームを安定化させるために入れていたんじゃないかなと勝手に思っていて、たぶんそれもものすごく少量だったから、前のものはそんなに気にはならなかったんですが、リポソームの安定をさらに進めているので、新しい「リポソーム アドバンスト リペアセラム」にはそれは入っていないです。あんまり合わなかったなと思う人は、もしかしたらそれが原因なのかもしれないので、それも一つクリアしているなと。 あとはもう一つ、パラベンとかも入ってたんですね。私はパラベン自体はそんなに悪いものではないと思います。でも結構パラベンを嫌っている人も多いじゃないですか。確かに敏感肌の人には刺激を感じる方もいるので、パラベンフリーにもなっています。 肌にのせた感じも、前のものとそんなに大きく変わらないかな。こっちが前のやつで、こっちが今のやつで、ほぼほぼ変わらないね。ちょっと今のやつの方がホールド感、新しいものの方が若干あるかなっていう感じはします。 だって通常だったら、30年近く売れ続けているものなのに、他のメーカーさんはリポソームというものを出せていないんですよ。だけれども、今のままでも競合アイテムもいないのに、新しいリポソームに変えていく。今まで成し得なかった、いらないものは捨てて、プラスなものを入れていくという、コーセーさんの素晴らしさを感じる一本だなと思います。 コーセーさんの方から聞いてちょっとびっくりしたのは、初代のリポソームを考えた研究者さんが、なんと今、コーセーの偉い人になっているらしいんですよ。それぐらい会社の中では、このリポソームというものを開発した人はすごい良い功績を残した人だという扱いになっているぐらいの製品なんです。 まとめると、リポソームというものはもともと、肌になじみのいい保湿をしっかりしてくれる、肌のバリア機能を高めてくれる成分でした。ただそれは30年近く前に化粧品に入れるという風に開発されたんですね。他社はできていないんですけども、新しいリポソームにして不要なものはなしにして、プラスもっと角質だけじゃなくて、真皮とか表皮とかにもアプローチできる成分も入れて、新しくリニューアルしたというのが、コスメデコルテ リポソーム アドバンスト リペアセラムで、一言で言うとすごい技術と、あとは研究員さんの常に向上心を持っている思いが入っている、素晴らしい一品ということですね。 いかがでしたか?今日もちょっと熱くなってしまいましたが、本当にやっぱり技術開発の人ってすごいなって思います。ちなみにこのリポソームを作った方は、調べたら常務取締役になられているそうで、いつかお会いしてリポソームについてお話を聞いてみたいなと思いました。 ということで、今日も最後までご覧いただきありがとうございます。また次の動画でもお会いしましょう。さよなら。

Hello everyone, this is Tamari Arata. There are many legendary department store cosmetics, but Cosme Decorte's "Moisture Liposome" has just been renewed for the first time in about 30 years. What has it become? This is it - "Cosme Decorte Liposome Advanced Repair Serum." And this is the pre-renewal "Cosme Decorte Moisture Liposome." First, let me briefly explain why Moisture Liposome came to be called a "legendary department store cosmetic." Liposomes are related to something called a Drug Delivery System (DDS) - research into how to deliver medicine into the body. One method is liposomes. Originally in the medical field, liposomes were multi-layered capsules used to deliver medicine. Cosme Decorte was the one who thought about how to incorporate this into cosmetics. Cosme Decorte is a Kose brand. In the 1990s, a Kose researcher started wondering if medical liposomes could be applied to cosmetics. There's an oil called phospholipid that forms the capsule, and it closely resembles cell membranes. So a multi-layered liposome made of this phospholipid would blend well with skin cells and function as a drug delivery system - that's what the Kose researcher noticed. The first liposome-containing cosmetic in Japan was this Cosme Decorte Moisture Liposome. How do liposomes work? They penetrate into the stratum corneum and enhance moisture retention there. Since the multi-layered liposome itself is wrapped in a phospholipid membrane, it thoroughly repairs the stratum corneum. As you continue using it, your skin becomes stronger, and as the skin's barrier function improves, the skin itself becomes healthier. Because of its structure similar to cell membranes, it can firmly strengthen the foundation of the skin. There are many multi-layered encapsulation technologies similar to liposomes, but even now, Cosme Decorte is the only one that contains something that can properly be called a "liposome." There are various capsule-type products, but creating a liposome that easily penetrates cell membranes and incorporating it into a product - that's something only Cosme Decorte has achieved, even after 30 years. So why did they decide to renew it now? Liposome technology itself keeps evolving. However, it takes about 7-8 years to stabilize the technology. So the Kose researchers were probably always thinking about new liposomes, and the result of their hard work to create a liposome that would revitalize the skin like a rejuvenating serum is incorporated into this new "Liposome Advanced Repair Serum." That's the "New Multi-layered Bio Liposome." What's amazing about this multi-layered liposome is its immediacy. While the original liposome blends well with skin because it's made of a phospholipid membrane, the liposome in Advanced Repair Serum has an even better skin affinity by changing the liposome's shape, so it penetrates directly into the stratum corneum with immediate effect - you feel the moisture right after application, which is the new feature. It doesn't just penetrate the skin - even within the stratum corneum, there are upper, middle, and lower layers, and the liposome penetrates especially well into the middle and lower layers. The middle layer particularly contains a lot of intercellular lipids and NMF (Natural Moisturizing Factor). By thoroughly moisturizing this area, it adds thickness to the middle layer of the stratum corneum, preventing dryness and strengthening the skin's barrier function. This new multi-layered liposome goes directly there, helping to organize the keratin network - the network of skin cells. By penetrating and staying there for a long time, the moisturizing ingredients continue to seep out from the capsule and remain in place, continuously releasing moisturizing ingredients bit by bit from inside the capsule. So it retains moisture in the middle and lower layers of the stratum corneum while gradually releasing moisturizing ingredients - this serum achieves both immediacy and lasting effect. There are also newly added beauty ingredients. These are "Bifidobacterium Ferment Extract" and "HPA Yeast Ferment Extract." Both are fermented ingredients, but Bifidobacterium Ferment Extract in particular promotes natural skin turnover. The other one, HPA Yeast Ferment Extract, relates to the dermis. There are said to be about 20 types of collagen deep in the dermis, with Type 1 being the most abundant, followed by Type 3. The dermis is mainly composed of Type 1 and Type 3 collagen. This HPA Yeast Ferment Extract contained in Cosme Decorte's Advanced Repair Serum is said to promote the production of Type 3 collagen. It also activates the dermal fibroblasts themselves, promoting firmness and renewal of the dermis. So the stratum corneum is addressed by the liposome, the epidermis by Bifidobacterium Ferment Extract, and the dermis deep inside by HPA Yeast Ferment Extract - it's a product that completely covers upper, middle, and lower layers. The previous liposome contained some ingredients that I think couldn't be avoided at the time. These were probably added to stabilize the liposome. They were "Oxybenzone-5" and "Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate." These are UV absorbers, ingredients also used in sunscreens. I personally think they were probably added to stabilize the liposome, and probably in very tiny amounts, so the previous product wasn't a big issue. But since they've further advanced liposome stability, these are not included in the new "Liposome Advanced Repair Serum." If you felt the previous product didn't quite suit you, this might have been the reason, so that's one thing that's been resolved. Another thing - the previous version also contained parabens. I don't think parabens themselves are that bad, but a lot of people dislike them. It's true that people with sensitive skin can feel irritation, so the new version is now paraben-free. As for how it feels on the skin, it's not that different from before. Here's the old one and here's the new one - they're pretty much the same. The new one might have a slightly stronger hold feeling. Normally, for a product that's been selling for nearly 30 years, no other manufacturer has been able to release anything with true liposomes. Yet even without competition, they decided to switch to a new liposome. Discarding what wasn't needed while adding what improves it - I feel this reflects the wonderful dedication of Kose. Something that surprised me when I heard it from someone at Kose: the researcher who came up with the original liposome is now apparently a top executive at Kose. That shows how highly regarded the person who developed this liposome is within the company - that's the kind of product this is. To summarize: liposomes were originally an ingredient that blends well with skin, thoroughly moisturizes, and enhances the skin's barrier function. This was developed to be incorporated into cosmetics nearly 30 years ago, and no other company has managed to replicate it. This renewal removed unnecessary ingredients and added ingredients that can approach not just the stratum corneum but also the dermis and epidermis - that's the newly renewed Cosme Decorte Liposome Advanced Repair Serum. In short, it's a wonderful product containing amazing technology and the researchers' constant drive to improve. How was that? I got a bit passionate again today, but I really do think the people in technology development are amazing. By the way, I looked it up, and apparently the person who created this liposome has become a managing director. I'd love to meet them someday and hear their story about liposomes.
