新発売！POLAしわ改善美容液について解説します。

皆さん、明けましておめでとうございます。内科・皮膚科医の通り新たです。2021年が明けましたね。お正月です。2021年のお正月はどのようにお過ごしですか？我が家はですね、子供がちっちゃいということもあるんですけれども、ちょっと今年は初詣とかは控えて、親戚の家に行くことも控えて、自宅でお正月を過ごしています。お正月料理をたくさん食べたので、何日か過ぎてから体重計に乗るのはちょっと怖いなと思ったりしております。皆さんも、ちょっとお出かけするのは…という方は、ぜひこのチャンネルを見て、美容・健康について深掘りしていただければと思います。今年もちろん、美容や化粧品の研究開発など、皆さんをワクワクさせて、健康で綺麗にするような情報をこのチャンネルで発信していきますので、今年もどうぞよろしくお願いします。 ということで、2021年第1弾の動画は、今年の一発目はこれだ！というものをご紹介したいと思います。2021年もですね、新しい春夏の商品が続々と発売予定となっています。その中でも、美白・シワ・くすみ予防など、ご紹介したいものがいっぱいあるんですが、今日2021年1月1日に満を持して発売されたのがこちらです。「ポーラ リンクルショット メディカルセラム N」です。 皆さん、メディカルセラムといったら何かわかりますよね。以前ご紹介した、国が認めたシワ改善美容液として3つご紹介した中で、ポーラさん独自の成分「ニールワン」が入っているシワ改善美容液でした。第1弾・第2弾とあったんですが、満を持して2021年1月1日に第3弾である「メディカルセラム N」が発売になりました。発売されたばかりですので、今日はこのシワ改善美容液がどれだけ進化したかを詳しくお話しします。 おさらいになりますが、シワ改善美容液は3つありました。ポーラさんのニールワン、当局が認可したレチノール、そして当局が認可したナイアシンアミド、この3つがシワ改善美容液として謳えるものです。その中で一番最初に日本でシワ改善の承認を取ったのが、ポーラさん独自のニールワンという成分です。 ニールワンというのはどういう成分かというと、皮膚に圧力がかかったり、紫外線でダメージが起こると、皮膚はそこに傷ができてしまったと勘違いしてしまうんですね。傷を修復しようとして好中球が集まってきます。この好中球が傷をえぐって修復しようとするのですが、本当は傷じゃないのに傷だと勘違いして、好中球がその場所をえぐってしまう。それがシワを深くする原因だということをポーラさんが突き止めました。では、好中球を来なくしたり、好中球が出す「好中球エラスターゼ」というものを抑えれば、シワを改善できるということで、この好中球エラスターゼをブロックするのがニールワンという成分だったんですね。 ニールワンは革新的な成分として、日本のシワ改善美容液はどんどん進化していったんですが、今回の第3弾ではこのニールワンにプラスアルファーの独自成分をポーラさんが加えてきました。2017年に発売になったんですが、その後もポーラさんはさらに進化させるべく、2000人近い方にアンケートを取ったり、ニールワンを使った後にシワがどのように修復されていくかというデータを様々取っていたそうです。 シワの研究を進めていくうちに、シワが改善しやすい人としにくい人がいることを発見しました。なぜシワ改善美容液を使っても改善しやすい人と改善しにくい人がいるのかを研究したところ、シワが改善しやすい人は傷の治りが早く、シワが改善しにくい人は傷がなかなか治りにくいと答えているということがわかりました。つまり、シワの改善と傷の修復には相関関係があり、傷が治りやすい人はシワも改善しやすいということがわかってきたんです。 そもそも傷はどのように治っていくかをざっくり説明すると、傷ができると炎症が起こり、止血しようとしていろんな細胞が集まってきます。その後、炎症が起こっているので好中球がどんどん集まってきて、好中球エラスターゼなどを出してガタガタになった部分を削ってきれいにし、炎症を抑えようとします。炎症が治まったら、今度は皮膚を増殖させて盛り上げていかなければならないので、そこに傷を修復する「コンドロイチン硫酸」というものが集まってくるんですね。傷が治る時にはこのコンドロイチン硫酸がとても重要で、皮膚の線維芽細胞に指令を出してコラーゲンやエラスチンを作ってくれるということはもともとわかっています。 そこでポーラさんは、傷の修復に関係するコンドロイチン硫酸が、シワの部分ではどうなっているのだろうという疑問を持ってデータを取りました。シワができやすい場所ではコンドロイチン硫酸自体が減少しているということを発見したんです。ということは、シワの部分ではコンドロイチン硫酸が少ない。コンドロイチン硫酸は線維芽細胞を呼び寄せて、皮膚のコラーゲンやエラスチンを増やし、皮膚の厚みや艶に貢献しますので、シワの部分でコンドロイチン硫酸を増やせば、シワ改善にも後押しになるのではないかと考えました。 そして、コンドロイチン硫酸を増やすような独自成分として、スギナエキス、油溶性カモミラエキス、油溶性アルニカエキスを複合したポーラ独自の「IC ユニット1」という成分を配合しています。細胞がコンドロイチン硫酸の産生を促すときに必要な酵素「CHSY1」というものがあるのですが、その発現を促すのがこの独自成分「IC ユニット1」です。コンドロイチン硫酸の産生をアップさせる酵素が増えることによって、シワの部分で減っていたコンドロイチン硫酸が増え、シワを改善させるということなんです。線維芽細胞にこのIC ユニット1を添加すると、コンドロイチン硫酸の産生が2倍になることがわかりました。 ここからが面白いのですが、コンドロイチン硫酸が多いと、ポーラ独自のニールワンという成分の働きも良くなるということが発見されたんです。すごくないですか？コンドロイチン硫酸が増えることでニールワンをサポートしてくれるので、ニールワンだけを配合するよりも、ICユニット1という成分でコンドロイチン硫酸が増えると、好中球エラスターゼを抑える効果が通常のニールワン単独よりも48%も高まるということがわかったんです。 ICユニット1がシワの部分に作用してコンドロイチン硫酸を増やし、コンドロイチン硫酸が集中治療室のような役目を果たしてコラーゲンやエラスチンの産生を促す。そこにさらにニールワンが作用して好中球エラスターゼの発現を抑えることで、しっかりと肌を養生させて元気にし、シワを改善していくということになるんですね。 もちろん、従来のニールワンだけのメディカルセラムよりも2倍近く効果の実感があるということを研究所の方がおっしゃっていましたので、これが発売になるのを私はずっと楽しみにしていましたし、2021年の美容業界の大きなトピックスの一つなのではないかと思っています。 従来のメディカルセラムとちょっと違って、今開封してみますが、ちょっと固めのこっくりとした美容液・クリーム状のテクスチャーになっています。気になるシワの部分にそのまま塗ることができる美容液になります。 シワの研究をポーラさんは本当にずっと続けていて、ニールワンを発売してそこで止まらず、さらに研究を重ね、シワの仕組みやニールワンをサポートする成分を探した結果、満を持してICユニット1とニールワンのダブルの効果でシワを改善するという商品を打ち出してきましたので、本当に期待の一本だと思います。 2021年はたくさん笑顔になりたいですよね。去年は暗いニュースが多かったので、2021年はずっと笑顔でいたい。でも笑顔でいると笑いジワができてしまうから、このシワ改善美容液を使う、というポジティブなサイクルが2021年に生まれればいいなという思いも込めて、こちらをお正月第1弾の動画にしてみました。 いかがでしたか？このチャンネルでは美容や健康について皆さんにわかりやすく解説していますので、よかったらチャンネル登録をお願いします。2021年も皆さんが明るくなれるよう頑張りますので、引き続きこのチャンネルをよろしくお願いします。では、また次の動画でお会いしましょう。さようなら。

At our home, since the kids are still little, we decided to skip the New Year's shrine visit and hold off on visiting relatives as well, so we're spending the holiday quietly at home. After enjoying so much New Year's cuisine, I have to say I'm a little nervous to step on the scale in a few days! Thank you for your continued support in 2021! Now, for the very first video of 2021, I want to introduce something I've been really excited about. Many new spring and summer products are set to launch in 2021, and while there are plenty of items I'd love to cover—brightening, wrinkle care, dullness prevention—the product that launched today, January 1, 2021, with great fanfare is this one: POLA Wrinkle Shot Medical Serum N. You probably already know what the Medical Serum is all about. As I previously introduced, among the three wrinkle-improving serums approved by Japan's regulatory authorities, this is the one from POLA containing their proprietary ingredient, Niarl One. After the first and second generations, the third-generation Wrinkle Shot Medical Serum N has officially launched on January 1, 2021. Since it's fresh off the shelves, today I want to talk in detail about how much this wrinkle-improving serum has evolved. As a quick recap, there are three ingredients that qualify a product to be called a wrinkle-improving serum in Japan: POLA's proprietary Niarl One, retinol (approved by the regulatory authority), and niacinamide (also approved by the regulatory authority). The first to receive wrinkle-improvement approval in Japan was POLA's proprietary ingredient, Niarl One. So what exactly is Niarl One? When skin is subjected to pressure or UV damage, the skin mistakenly believes it has been wounded. In response, neutrophils rush to the site to repair the perceived injury. These neutrophils essentially gouge into the area to "fix" it—even though there was no real wound to begin with. This process is what causes wrinkles to deepen. POLA discovered this mechanism and concluded that by inhibiting neutrophils or blocking the enzyme they release—neutrophil elastase—wrinkles could be improved. Niarl One was developed to block neutrophil elastase, making it a truly groundbreaking ingredient that has driven the evolution of wrinkle-improving serums in Japan. This third-generation product adds another proprietary ingredient on top of Niarl One. Since the original launch in 2017, POLA continued researching further—surveying nearly 2,000 participants and collecting data on how wrinkles recover after using Niarl One. Through this research, they discovered that some people respond more readily to wrinkle-improving serums than others. Investigating why, they found that people who see better wrinkle improvement tend to heal from wounds more quickly, while those who see less improvement tend to heal more slowly. In short, there is a correlation between wrinkle improvement and wound healing ability: people who heal wounds faster also tend to improve wrinkles more easily. To understand why, consider how wounds heal in general. When a wound occurs, inflammation sets in and various cells rush to the site to stop bleeding. Neutrophils gather in large numbers to fight the inflammation, releasing neutrophil elastase and other substances to clean up the damaged tissue and eventually stop the inflammation. Once inflammation subsides, the skin needs to proliferate and rebuild, and at this stage, a substance called chondroitin sulfate plays a crucial role. Chondroitin sulfate signals fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin—this has long been known. POLA then asked: what happens to chondroitin sulfate at wrinkle sites? After collecting data, they discovered that chondroitin sulfate is reduced in areas prone to wrinkles. Since chondroitin sulfate recruits fibroblasts and stimulates the production of collagen and elastin—contributing to skin thickness and luminosity—they hypothesized that boosting chondroitin sulfate in wrinkle-prone areas could support wrinkle improvement. To increase chondroitin sulfate production, POLA developed a proprietary blend called IC Unit 1, combining horsetail extract, oil-soluble chamomile extract, and oil-soluble arnica extract. There is an enzyme called CHSY1 that cells need to synthesize chondroitin sulfate, and IC Unit 1 promotes the expression of this enzyme. By increasing the enzyme responsible for chondroitin sulfate synthesis, levels of chondroitin sulfate that had been depleted in wrinkle-prone areas are restored, leading to wrinkle improvement. In tests, adding IC Unit 1 to fibroblasts doubled chondroitin sulfate production. Here is where it gets really exciting: higher levels of chondroitin sulfate were found to enhance the efficacy of POLA's own Niarl One. Incredible, right? Because chondroitin sulfate supports Niarl One's action, combining IC Unit 1 with Niarl One inhibits neutrophil elastase 48% more effectively than Niarl One alone. In other words, IC Unit 1 travels to wrinkle sites and ramps up chondroitin sulfate production. The chondroitin sulfate acts like an intensive care unit, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. Then Niarl One steps in to suppress neutrophil elastase expression, allowing the skin to fully recover and become healthier, ultimately improving wrinkles. Researchers at POLA noted that the effectiveness is felt nearly twice as strongly as with the original Niarl One-only Medical Serum, so I have been eagerly awaiting this launch. I truly believe this is one of the biggest beauty industry highlights of 2021. Unlike the previous Medical Serum formulas, this one has a slightly thicker, richer texture—somewhere between a serum and a cream. You can apply it directly onto wrinkle-prone areas. POLA has dedicated years of ongoing research to wrinkle science. Rather than stopping at the launch of Niarl One, they kept pushing forward—studying how wrinkles form and what ingredients can further support Niarl One—ultimately arriving at this powerful dual-action formula combining IC Unit 1 and Niarl One. This is truly one of the most anticipated products out there. In 2021, we all want to smile more, don't we? After a tough year filled with difficult news, I want to spend 2021 smiling.
