瀬戸弘司さんにドッキリを仕掛けられました。

皆さんこんにちは、ともりあなたです。今日はチャンネル登録者45万人突破のお祝いサプライズ企画です。 私の大好きなYouTuberである瀬戸弘司さんが、スタッフさんの計らいでサプライズゲストとして来てくださいました。最初は別のゲストが来ると思っていたら、まさかの瀬戸さんが登場！本当に驚きました。 実物の瀬戸さんを初めて見て、「本当にいるんだ」「意外と色白い」などと思いながら、最初はうまく言葉が出てきませんでした。動画ではめちゃめちゃ喋るのに、サプライズだと全然喋れなくなってしまうものですね。 改めて瀬戸さんに自己紹介していただき、ガジェット系YouTuberとしてご活躍されていること、2010年からYouTubeを始めて11年目であること、もともと10年間役者をされていたことなどをお話しいただきました。 私が瀬戸さんを知ったきっかけは夫で、YouTubeを始める際に機材選びの参考として3〜4年前の瀬戸さんの動画を見るよう勧められたのが始まりでした。ドリキンさんとのコラボ動画など、映像の美しさに感動していたこと、最近のアコーディオン動画など、どこへ向かうのか想像を超えていく瀬戸さんのチャンネルをずっと拝見していました。 瀬戸さんからは「ともりさんのチャンネルは勢いがあって、コメント欄の雰囲気もとてもいい。皮膚科の先生がやるスキンケアチャンネルは唯一無二の武器で、何も言うことはない」と嬉しいお言葉をいただきました。 また、私の動画制作スタイルについてもお話しました。週4本を1〜2時間でまとめて撮影し、残りの6日間でネタを考えるというサイクルで動画を作っていること、美容雑誌や英語の論文などからネタを見つけていることをお伝えしました。瀬戸さんからは「本業を持つ人のYouTubeは強い。プロの知識をエッセンスとして出せるのが効く」とのお言葉もいただきました。 瀬戸さんは40歳で、私より年下だと知って驚きました。ずっと「瀬戸兄さん」だと思っていたら「瀬戸ちゃん」だったというのは笑えました。 YouTubeの今後については、TikTokやInstagramなど様々なプラットフォームが増え、競争が激しくなる中で、時代の雰囲気をつかんで自分の動画に活かしていくことに苦戦しているとおっしゃっていました。「ずっと苦戦の10年」とのことでしたが、そんな瀬戸さんでも常に挑戦し続けているところが本当にすごいと思います。 最後に、瀬戸さんと「友達」になっていただけることになりました！「瀬戸ちゃん」と呼んでいいという認証もいただき、本当に幸せなサプライズ動画になりました。次回はぜひ一緒にコラボしましょうという約束もできて、今日は本当にありがとうございました！

Hello everyone, I'm Tomori Anata! Today we have a special surprise to celebrate reaching 450,000 channel subscribers. My favorite YouTuber, Koji Seto, was arranged by our staff as a surprise guest. I thought a different guest was coming, but then Seto-san himself appeared — I was genuinely shocked! Seeing him in person for the first time, I found myself thinking things like "He's really here" and "He's fairer-skinned than I expected," and at first I could barely get any words out. It's funny how I talk endlessly in my own videos, but when faced with a surprise like this, I completely froze. Seto-san introduced himself properly: he's an active gadget-focused YouTuber who started on YouTube in 2010 — now in his 11th year — and before that spent 10 years as a stage actor. I first learned about Seto-san through my husband, who had been watching him for years. When I was about to start my own YouTube channel, my husband told me to watch Seto-san's videos from 3–4 years prior to figure out what equipment to buy — saying I wasn't "ready" for his latest recommendations yet. From there, I started watching Seto-san regularly — his collaboration videos with Dokin-san, the beautiful cinematography, and his more recent accordion videos that keep going in directions I never expected. Seto-san kindly said of my channel: "Tomori's channel is growing with incredible momentum, the comment section has a wonderful atmosphere, and a skincare channel run by a dermatologist is a truly unique weapon — there's nothing to improve." Those words meant so much to me. I also shared my video production style: I batch-record four videos in one to two hours on weekends while my three kids are out playing, then spend the remaining six days thinking up topics — drawing from beauty magazines, reader questions via LINE, and English academic papers, which I translate into engaging content. Seto-san noted that "people who maintain a day job alongside YouTube are often stronger creators, because they can bring professional expertise as an added ingredient" — which really resonated with me. I was surprised to learn that Seto-san is 40 years old — actually younger than me! I had always thought of him as a senior figure, so finding out he was "Seto-chan" rather than "Seto-aniki" gave us both a good laugh. On the future of YouTube, Seto-san shared that with TikTok, Instagram, and other platforms growing rapidly and competition intensifying, he finds it challenging to stay attuned to the tastes of younger audiences and incorporate that sensibility into his own work. "It's been 10 years of constant struggle," he said — yet the fact that he keeps pushing forward despite that is truly admirable. At the end, Seto-san officially became my "friend" — and even gave me permission to call him "Seto-chan"! We also made a promise to collaborate together next time.
