皆さんこんにちは。友利新です。2024年もたくさんの美白美容液出てますよね このYouTubeチャンネルでもたくさんのものをご紹介してきたんですけれども 一個一個深掘りしないでなんか先生まとめてやってくださいみたいなこともあったので 今まで深掘りしていないものを一気にねギュッとご紹介したいなぁと思っております なので今まで深掘りしたものもこれ深掘りしてますっていうことをちゃんと言うので たまにこれ深掘りしてくださいって言うこと面倒がついて ちょっと前にやったんだけどなぁみたいなことがあるのでこれを見れば私が深掘りしたものも深掘りまだしてないものも一気にわかるようにしていきたいと思いますので今年の美白 何にしようかなって迷っている方はぜひ最後までご覧ください では早速行ってみましょう まず今年2024年といえばもう本当にね美白のいろんな新しい考え方だったりとか新しい 着眼点があったんですけれども 一番大きかったっていうのは真皮のケアをしていくというところですね 代表的なものはこちら以前深掘りしたポーラのホワイトショットですね これはもう本当私で1本はもう使い切っちゃったぐらい 結構さらっとして新しみも良くて本当に真皮ケアもできるというもので知りたい方は 深掘りの動画をご覧いただきたいんですけれども これと同じようにですね実は真皮ケアに本気着目しているものがもう一つあります それがメナードのフェアルーセント薬用ブライトニングセラムです もともとメナードのフェアルーセントっていうのは美白シリーズをずっとやっていて美白の有効成分は一貫してビタミンC誘導体 その中でもリン酸アスコルビルマグネシウムというものになります これは水溶性のビタミンCで結構すぐに肌に入っていくと リン酸とマグネシウムがパッと外れてアスコルビン酸になって 速効性があると言われていて私たち医療業界でもよく使うビタミンCの誘導体です なので速効性のビタミンC誘導体とかとも言われたりします なのでこれ一応医薬部外品なのでこの医薬部外品をとっている有効成分としてはこの リン酸アスコルビルマグネシウムっていうビタミンC誘導体でこの美白の有効性をとっています たださっき言ったみたいにメナードさんのフェアルーセントもですね 真皮のメラニンっていうのに着目をしているんですね もともとメナードさんで幹細胞をいろいろ研究しているブランドさんなんですよ メナードって確か名古屋だったので藤田保健生だったりとか名古屋大といろいろ 共同研究をしていろんな論文も出している 実はすごい化粧品会社さんなんですが 今回着目していたのは真皮の幹細胞になります じゃあどういうふうな感じなのかっていうとまあ紫外線が当たったりとか摩擦とか 乾燥とかで肌に炎症が起きました そうするとですね肌の表皮と真皮の間にある基底膜っていうところにも炎症が来てしまって そこが破れてしまうことによって表皮にいるメラニンがどんどん落ちて真皮に行ってしまうっていうのが 今期ねいろいろ皆さんねいろんなメディアで言っていることなのでわかっていると思うんですが 真皮に落ちてしまったメラニンっていうのは ポーラさんではマクロファージといっていらないもので食べてくれる細胞がいるんですがそれに着目しているんですけれども 今回このフェアルーセントはですね 落ちたメラニンっていうのはもちろんマクロファージも食べるんだけれども 真皮の幹細胞というのにも取り込まれるよっていうことを見つけたんですよ その真皮の幹細胞がメラニンを取り込んでしまうとですね そこがちょっとね厄介なことが起きてきます 実は真皮の幹細胞というのは基底膜を修復するものを出しているんですね それはゴルフ3というものなんですが真皮の幹細胞から出るゴルフ3というものが 基底膜の構成線維である4型コラーゲンの修復を促してくれるものなんですよ だから真皮の幹細胞が元気でいると基底膜はきっちりと修復されるのでメラニンというのは落ちてこなかったりするんですね なんですけれども修復が間に合わなくて落ちてきてしまったものっていうのは もちろんマクロファージも食べるんですけれども 実はこの真皮の幹細胞というの中にも取り込まれてしまうらしいんですよ一部 メラニンを取り込んでしまった真皮の幹細胞というのは動きが悪くなって 基底膜の修復の成分であるゴルフ3を出すことが低下してしまう そうするとますます基底膜が破れてしまってメラニンが落ちてきてしまって またそれを取り込んでしまうという負のスパイラルに落ちちゃうんですよ ということでじゃあこのメラニンを取り込んでしまった真皮の幹細胞の中のメラニンを分解すれば またゴルフ3をしっかり出すことによって 基底膜の修復をしてくれるというところに目をつけて じゃあそういった植物成分はないかって見つけたのが雪椿エキスというものになります 雪椿エキスというのは真皮の幹細胞のメラニンを分解してくれる それによって4型コラーゲンとかがアップして 基底膜が良くなるよということなんですね これが根拠に入ったものなんですが その前は表皮のメラノサイト幹細胞というものを研究して メラノサイトの幹細胞がいっぱい増えたら 要はメラノサイトがどんどんできるわけじゃないですか それを増殖しないような美容成分というのを入れているのが1個前 今回はこの幹細胞は今度は真皮の幹細胞に行って真皮ケアまでしているというのが このフェアルーセントのセラムになっております なのでもちろん表皮ケアもしているし真皮ケアもしている なんだったら基底膜のケアもできるっていうのがすごく素晴らしいなというふうに思っています これ自体は100mLで11,000円になっています セラムなんですけどこれ結構ねローションみたいなこんな感じで使うんですよ サラッサラのものになっています だからソーラーも同じようにサラサラだったので 私結構皮脂が多いので いろんなベタベタしたものを重ねちゃうと 肌がねちょっとオイリーな感じになるので そういった夏場でもかなり使いやすいタイプのセラムになっていると思います 続いてはこちらライスフォースのライスブライトクリームになります こちらはですね美白の有効成分はトラネキサム酸になります 以前ねライスフォースさんの工場にお邪魔したことがあって ライスフォースさんってもともとはライスパワーのエキスを使っていろんな化粧品を作っていたんですが 今回そこがトランシーノとかを作っている大鹿産協と合併したのかな それによってその大鹿産協が作っているトラネキサム酸を入れて プラスもちろんライスフォースなのでライスパワーも入れてるっていう面白いクリームになります トラネキサム酸はやっぱトランシーノの同じところが作っているので浸透性もすごくいいような トラネキサム酸になっています でももちろんね皆さん知ってると思うんですがトラネキサム酸っていうのは抗炎症もしながら 美白もしていくっていう敏感肌の方にもすごくおすすめの有効成分ですよね そこにこれはですねライスパワーナンバー11プラスじゃなくて アルファーが入っています ライスパワーナンバー11プラスはもう散々私YouTubeでもお話ししているんですけども シワ改善の認証を取ったものなんですけれども 表皮にも基底膜にも真皮にも働きかけて表皮では水分の保持を促してくれるし 基底膜もケアしてくれるし 真皮ではコラーゲンやエラスチンを増やしてくれるということで肌を綺麗にしてシワ改善だったんですが ライスパワーナンバー11アルファーって何かっていうと 元々ライスパワーナンバー11っていうのは表皮に働きかけて皮膚の水分保持能力を高めるっていう有効性が認められているんですね 要はざっくり言うと肌の水分量がアップする 自分で水分量を作る能力を改善させますよっていうものなんですよ ライスパワーが表皮の基底膜とかに働きかけることによって そこから細胞がちゃんと生まれてくる 生まれてくるだけじゃなくてターンオーバーでちゃんとした成長過程を取ることによって 細胞間脂質だったりとかヒアルロン酸とかを作りながら成長していくんですね なので自分自身の力で自分の中の潤いを作れるようになるっていうのがライスパワーナンバー11なんですよ この11αは何かというとそれを3倍に濃縮したものです なのでより肌の水分量がアップできるっていうことになるんですね この前有心酒造さんに行って常務にお話を聞いたときにライスパワーってすごく面白くて 普通だったら成分っていうのは濃度を濃くしていけば濃くしていくほどいいっていうわけじゃなくて どっかで頭打ちになっちゃう だからこれ以上入れたらどちらかというと刺激が出ちゃうよっていうことになるので 濃度は濃ければ濃いほどいいわけじゃないっていうことだったんですけど ライスパワーって濃ければ濃いほどどんどんこの水分を作り出す機能が高まるらしいんですよ だからこそこのαの方が11よりもより水分の機能アップさせることができるんじゃないかなと思います これが出た時にあ、めちゃめちゃいいじゃんっていうふうに思ったんですね トラネキサム酸っていうのは本当に敏感肌の方だったり乾燥肌の方も使えるので これは本当に皆さんいいかなと思うし トラネキサム酸自体はやっぱ乾癬とかっていうものにも 治療でも使ったりするのですごく使いやすいなというふうに思いました こんな感じのクリームなんですけれども 馴染ませると結構伸びるんですよ クリームっていうよりは伸ばすとね かなりみずみずしいからセラムみたいな だから一瞬美容液かなと思うぐらいのクリームになって全然ベタつきはないです 乾燥が気になる方というか揺らいでる方にもかなりおすすめな美白 クリームなんですけどセラムとして使ってみるんじゃないかなと思うぐらいの テクスチャーになっています 続いてはこちらファスザブラックブライトセラムです ファスさんといえば黒米の発酵エキスでおなじみの発酵系の化粧品なんですね 私以前もしかしたら黒米って言おうとしたものを黒豆って間違えて言っちゃった時があってごめんなさい 黒米の方です米です それを発酵させたエキスっていうのをベースにお化粧水だったりとか クレンジングとかも以前紹介したんですけどそういったものなんですよ 黒いお米っていうのはそのまんまでもポリフェノールが高いんですけど それを発酵することによって700種類以上だったかなっていう有効成分がいろいろ入っているということになるんですね その有効成分いろいろ見ると糖質だったりとかアミノ酸だったりとかもなんですが 実はナイアシンアミドとかも入っているっていうような 結構多くの黒米の発酵エキス自体にもパワフルな透明感を肌にね 与えるようなものもあるんじゃないかなと思うんですが そこに美白の有効成分はビタミンCの誘導体が入っています それがL-アスコルビン酸2-グルコシドというこれは水溶性のビタミンC誘導体で 肌の中に入ってどちらかというとじわじわ効いていくよっていうようなビタミンCの誘導体になっています そこに抗炎症作用としてトラネキサム酸とグリチルリチン酸ジカリウムを入れています やっぱり炎症が起こっているとそれだけでくすみの原因になったりとかシミの原因になるので 炎症も抑えつつビタミンCの誘導体で美白をして プラスアルファクロマイの発酵エキスというものの中に透明感をアップするような ナイアシンアミドだったりとかそういったものがしっかり入っているので それで内側から発酵するような美白ということだと思うんですよ あとはですねグルコシルヘスペリジンというこれ通称ビタミンPと呼ばれるんですが これが血管の細胞をしっかり強固にしてくれて血流を促進させてくれるというものがあるので 顔色をよく見せたりとかっていうだけじゃなくて 血流が良くなることによって表皮のターンオーバーがしっかりすることによって メラニンがあったとしてもそれを排出してくれるということも期待できるかなと思うので すごく期待値高い美容液かなと思います テクスチャーはかなりトロッとした感じのテクスチャーになっています ただ肌にのせると一見ベタベタしそうじゃないですか もちろん全然ベタベタしないわけじゃないんですけどスッと入っていくんですよ 私引き出し方が使いづらいかなと思ったんですけどそんなことなく 見た目はトロッとしてるんだけど肌にのせるとスッと入っていて 全然ねベタベタ感が持続するってことはないので それもねすごい不思議なテクスチャーだなというふうに思います 続いてはこちらイグニスホワイトグロウデイセラムです これデイセラムって言ってるぐらいなので朝使う美白美容液になっています というのもこれちょっとだけですけどもSPFも入っているんですね なのでこれは朝使用するようになっています 美白の有効成分としてはナイアシンアミドなんですね そこにイグニスらしい成分が入っています イグニスというのはアルビオングループなんですね アルビオンって自社でハーブとかを栽培して それの研究をめちゃめちゃしてるんですよ 秋田のたしか白神だったと思うんですけども そこに広大な畑とそこに工場があって そこでいろんなハーブを栽培して研究してそのエキスを取ってるんですね たしかそのエキスが入っているのがアルビオンのフローラドリップとかだと思うんですよね それで透明感がアップするようなエキスを入れてるんだと思うんですけど 今回イグニスにはですねその白神で栽培して そこで抽出したエキスが配合されています それがゼニアオイエキスというものになります このゼニアオイというものは紫のお花を付ける植物らしいんですね 通常お花って枯れると色変わるじゃないですか でもずっとこの紫が続くらしいんですよ それってその葉っぱとかお花に入っているポリフェノールのおかげらしいんですね これを研究していったところ 抗酸化力とか抗炎症作用だったりとかすごい強いということを見つけたらしいんですね このゼニアオイエキスというのはエラスターゼの活性を抑える このエラスターゼというのはコラーゲンとかを切っちゃうものですね なのでこれを抑えることによってハリ感を出したりとか あとはもちろんメラニンの産生も抑制したり コラーゲンとかエラスチンが糖化して固くなって 黄色くなっちゃうということも抑える 抗糖化っていう 言うのも期待できる成分らしいんですよ。なのでハリケアとか抗炎症だったりとか抗糖化もそうですけれど、メラニンの酸化も抑えてくれるし、ハリケアも出してくれるということが期待できるエキスなんですよ。これはイグニスにしか今のところ入ってないらしいんですね。だからやっぱりこれこそTHE秘伝のタレですよね。そこにナイアシンアミドが入っているので、有効成分プラス秘伝のタレっていうので、THEデパコスみたいな感じですよね。でもイグニスといえばもう大好きな香りと癒される香りになっています。出してくるとちょっと白いかなと思うんですけども、塗っていくとこれ分かるかな、塗ったところが綺麗に反射するでしょう。これはデイクリームだからちょっとメイク効果もあるんですよ。パールが入っているのでこういうふうにちょっとソフトフォーカスっぽくなるんですね。なので美容液でもありトーンアップもしてくれるというものになります。もうずっと嗅いでいたいぐらい、すごくいい香りがします。なので植物の液で癒されたいよっていう方はすごくいいですし、ただちょっと注意点としては何回も言うんですけど、デイセラムなので朝使うようにしていただけるといいかなというふうに思います。 続いてはこちら、エトボス薬用ホワイトニングクリアセラムです。これもね、めちゃめちゃ面白いというか、本当にいろんな特許だったりとか、あとは新知見がたっぷり入っているセラムなんですよね。これもちろん医薬部外品なので、有効成分としてはトラネキサム酸が入っています。トラネキサム酸といえば抗炎症もできるし、あとは美白もできるっていうね。敏感肌の人にはすごく嬉しい有効成分ですよね。そこにですね、やっぱりエトボス自体が敏感肌用のブランドになるので、敏感肌の方って炎症が起こりやすいじゃないですか。なのでやっぱり炎症をしっかり抑えたい。トラネキサム酸だけじゃなくてもう、プラスアルファで抑えたいということで、グリチルレチン酸ステアリルが入っています。グリチルレチン酸ステアリルっていうのは、グリチルレチン酸よりもちょっと抗炎症の効果が高いんですね。ただ高いんだけれども、よりちゃんと高めるためにどうしたかっていうと、そこにオリーブの葉のエキスを加えています。このオリーブの葉の中にあるポリフェノールの一種のオレウロペインっていうものが、グリチルレチン酸ステアリルとくっつくことによって、肌の中のグルタチオンの酸化を促すんですね。グルタチオンっていうのは肌のスーパー抗酸化作用が高くて、炎症も抑えてくれるので、そもそもグリチルレチン酸ステアリルだけでも抗炎症高いんだけれども、オリーブの葉エキスを入れることによって、オレウロペインを付与することによって、それ二つでまた肌のグルタチオンの酸化を促して、また抗炎症できるっていう、抗炎症をスペシャル抗炎症にするっていうものを作ってるんですね。これはエトボスさんの特許を申請してるというふうに聞きました。なので炎症を抑えるっていうことが、やっぱりメインになってるのかなというふうに思うんですね。ただもう一つ面白いのがあって、肌が荒れてたりとか敏感になってる人って、その角質の剥離がちょっとあんまり良くないんですよね。なので薄いところもあれば厚いところもあったり、ランダムになってるんですよ。でもやっぱり敏感になってたり乾燥してるから、それを無理やり剥がすっていうことはなかなかできないので、どうしたらこの角質がガタガタしてるところを綺麗にできるかって。なんで角質がガタガタしてたらダメかっていうと、やっぱり光が入った時にうまく反射できないので、それで透明感が低下しちゃうんですね。なんだけれども無理やり取ると、乾燥肌の人っていうのは切り傷がついたりとか赤みが出ちゃうから。じゃあどうしようっていろんな研究をしたところ、どういったことが敏感肌の方が悩んでるかっていうと、カリクレインっていう角質を剥離する酵素っていうのは、私たちにはもともとあるんですけれども、それが敏感肌の方だったり乾燥肌の人っていうのは、いっぱいあるんだけど働いていない。だから眠った状態らしいんですよ。だからこのカリクレインを元気にするようなものを入れてあげれば、無理やり剥がさなくても角質が自分でね、勝手に剥がれてくれるわけじゃないですか。それをいろいろ調べたら、なんとナイアシンアミドがそれに匹敵するっていうことがわかったらしいんですよ。すごくないですか？これはエトボスさんの研究で、特許というか自分たちが見つけたメカニズムだっていうふうに言っていました。このナイアシンアミドを入れることによって、カリクレイン活性化して角質が無理やりじゃなくて、うまい具合に剥がれていく。それによって角質も滑らかになるし、浸透も良くなるし。トラネキサム酸で美白、グリチルレチン酸ステアリルとオリーブの葉で強力になった抗炎症が起こるっていう、肌全体的に透明感を敏感肌の方でも作っていけるよっていう、すごく面白い特許だったり新発見がぎゅっと詰まったセラムになっています。 出すとこんな感じのとろっとしたセラムになっています。敏感肌用なので、肌にスッと馴染んで、保湿感はしっかりあります。一番保湿感はあるのかなというふうに思うんですけど、結構みずみずしくて、やっぱり敏感肌の人はベタベタするの嫌いなので、そういう意味ではしっとり感はあるんだけど、膜を張るような感じではないですね。スッと入っていくようなセラムになっています。 続いてはこちら、エピステームブライトプラズマセラムになります。エピステームっていうのは、クリニックの治療発想に作っている、ブランドなんですけど、「ブライト」って名前がついてますね。多分そこから来てるんじゃないかなと思います。こちらの美容液の有効成分っていうのは、麹酸になっています。元々は私たちがやる、光治療ってあるじゃないですか。IPLフェイシャルとか、そういった光治療っていうのは、実はメラニンを破壊もするんだけれども、美白になる遺伝子のスイッチもオンにするんですよ。それがスタンフォード大学でも認められて、だから光治療っていうのは、シミも取れるんだけど、そもそも肌を若返らせますよということなんですね。これをすごく深く研究して、どういったものをスイッチしてるかというと、やっぱりそもそもメラニンを作らせるっていう遺伝子をオフにしてるっていうことが分かって。じゃあそういった光治療は当てられないけど、これをオフにする同じ植物成分はないか、っていうふうに調べて、その植物液質のコンプレックスを、そもそも入れてるのが、エピステームの今までのシリーズだったんですね。今回はIPLじゃなくて、プラズマ治療というものの発想から来ています。プラズマ治療というのは、くすみをなくすような治療になっているんですね。このプラズマ治療っていうのは、肌の中の成長因子を活性化させることによって、表皮のターンオーバーを促すっていうような感じで。表皮のターンオーバーが促されると、メラニンとかが含んでいる表皮の細胞が出ていくので、それでくすみが取れるっていうことになるんですが。プラズマ治療が成長因子の一つの、アンフィレグリンっていうものを活性化するというところまで分かったから、じゃあこのアンフィレグリンっていうものを活性化する植物液質はないか、っていうふうに調べたところ、肌藍抽出液とあとは、ヒオウギ抽出液っていうものの、コンプレックスが同じような効果があるよ、っていうことを認めたので。IPLと同じような植物液質、プラズマ治療と同じような植物液質を入れてるっていうことが、このエピステームのすごいところです。ちゃんともちろん当たり前ですけども、抗酸化も入っているので、抗酸化と有効成分プラス、自分たちの秘伝のタレっていうような、これもザ・デパコスっていうような感じですよね。ロート製薬が作ってるので、製薬会社さんだからこそ、そのプラズマ治療が何が起こっているか、この起こっていることを化粧品でどう作れるか、っていうことを考えて作っているというところも、すごく面白いなというふうに思います。 テクスチャーはどんな感じかというと、こんな感じの白っぽいものになるんですが、伸ばしていくと結構伸びはいいですね。しっかり伸びていって、どちらかというと、ほんとスッと入っていきます。テクスチャーはですね、エトボスと似てるというか、ベタベタはしないんだけど、ちょっとみずみずしい感じで、スッと入っていく。だから他の美容液だったりとか、スキンケアの邪魔はしないな、というふうに思います。 最後はこちら、デュオ・ザ・薬用リンクルセラムになります。この美容液の有効成分は、ナイアシンアミドなんですね。プラスグリチルリチン酸ジカリウムが入っていることによって、ナイアシンで美白、グリチルリチン酸で抗炎症、という感じなんですね。いっぱいにありそうな感じなんですが、これにも秘伝のタレがしっかり入っています。それがコラーゲンケアなんですよ。これ実は、美白なんですけれども、ハリケアも一緒にできるよ、というコンセプトなんですよね。だから内側からハリがしっかりあれば、光を跳ね返す力が綺麗にできるから、それで透明感が出るよね、っていう考え方。だからどちらかというと、たるみ予防とかっていうのにも、できる美容液かなというふうに思うんですね。それがどういったものかっていうと、シソの葉エキスだったり、タケノコの葉のエキスだったり、あとは海藻エキスを、ナイアシンアミドと一緒にすることによって、コラーゲン自体を酸化を促していくんですね。新しくコラーゲン生むだけじゃなくって、良質なコラーゲンにしなきゃいけないので、コラーゲンをしっかり育てるためには、スターフルーツエキスとメリッサの葉のエキスと、あとはメマツヨイグサエキス、っていうものを入れています。これによってコラーゲンがしっかり作られて、それを分解したりとか、あんまりしないように、良質なものに育っていく、っていうようなものなんですね。だから美白もそうなんですけど、どちらかというとハリを出して、艶感だったりとか光を跳ね返すことによって、美白というか、ブライトニングをするっていう。美白というよりはどちらかというと、ハリケア中心かなというふうに思ったので、美白もしたいんだけれども、たるみとかハリ感をなんとかしたい、っていう方には、めちゃめちゃ良い容器かなと思います。こちらのテクスチャーはこんな感じ。結構ね濃厚な感じになってます。やっぱりハリケアができるっていうだけあって、結構濃厚なんですけれども、だからといって最初は濃厚に感じるんですけど、肌に伸ばすとね、なんかパシャッと行くような感じ。ちょっとみずみずしくなっていくんですよね。原液室の膜に美容成分入れてるっていうところも、みずみずしいんだけれども、ちょっとふっくらするっていう、テクスチャーに関与してるんじゃないかなというふうに思います。 Let's get started. First, when it comes to 2024, there are really new ways of thinking about whitening and new perspectives emerging. The biggest one has been dermal care. A representative example is the Pola White Shot, which I've covered in depth before. I've actually used up one whole bottle of it - it's really refreshing with good absorption and provides great dermal care. If you want to know more, please check out my deep dive video. Similarly, there's another product that's seriously focusing on dermal care. That's Menard's Fair Lucent Medicated Brightening Serum. Menard's Fair Lucent line has been doing a whitening series for a while, and the active whitening ingredient has consistently been vitamin C derivative - specifically magnesium ascorbyl phosphate. This is a water-soluble vitamin C that quickly penetrates the skin, where the phosphate and magnesium separate to become ascorbic acid, which is known for its fast-acting properties. It's a vitamin C derivative that we in the medical field use frequently, so it's also called a fast-acting vitamin C derivative. So while this is a quasi-drug product, the active ingredient that gives it quasi-drug status is this magnesium ascorbyl phosphate, which has proven whitening efficacy. But as I mentioned earlier, Menard's Fair Lucent is also focusing on melanin in the dermis. Menard is a brand that originally researches stem cells extensively. Since Menard is based in Nagoya, they've done collaborative research with Fujita Health University and Nagoya University and published various papers - they're actually a very impressive cosmetics company. This time they're focusing on dermal stem cells. So how does this work? When UV radiation, friction, or dryness causes inflammation in the skin, this inflammation also affects the basement membrane between the epidermis and dermis, and when it breaks, melanin in the epidermis falls down into the dermis. This is something many people know from various media, I'm sure. When melanin falls into the dermis, Pola focuses on macrophages - cells that eat up unwanted materials. But this Fair Lucent discovered that fallen melanin is also being taken up by dermal stem cells. When dermal stem cells take up melanin, something problematic happens. Dermal stem cells actually produce substances that repair the basement membrane. That's called Golf 3, and this Golf 3 produced by dermal stem cells promotes the repair of type IV collagen, which is a component of the basement membrane. So when dermal stem cells are healthy, the basement membrane gets properly repaired and melanin doesn't fall down. However, when repairs can't keep up and melanin does fall, besides macrophages eating it, it also gets taken up by some dermal stem cells. Dermal stem cells that have taken up melanin move less effectively and reduce their production of Golf 3, the basement membrane repair component. This causes the basement membrane to break down further, allowing more melanin to fall, which gets taken up again - creating a negative spiral. So the solution is to break down the melanin inside dermal stem cells that have absorbed it, so they can properly produce Golf 3 and repair the basement membrane. Looking for such plant components, they found snow camellia extract. Snow camellia extract breaks down melanin in dermal stem cells, which increases type IV collagen and improves the basement membrane. This is the basis for this formula. Previously, they researched melanocyte stem cells in the epidermis, and reduced proliferation with beauty ingredients. This time, they're moving to dermal stem cells and doing dermal care. So this Fair Lucent serum does both epidermal care and dermal care, plus basement membrane care, which I think is wonderful. This comes in 100mL for 11,000 yen. Even though it's a serum, it's more like a lotion - it has a very smooth texture. Since the Solar has the same smooth texture, and I tend to have oily skin, layering lots of heavy products makes my skin look oily. So this is a serum type that's very easy to use even in summer. Next is Rice Force's Rice Bright Cream. This one has tranexamic acid as the whitening active ingredient. I've visited the Rice Force factory before. Rice Force originally used Rice Power extract to make various cosmetics, but this time they merged with Daichi Sangyo, which makes Transino, and now they're using tranexamic acid from Daichi Sangyo while also including Rice Power since it's still Rice Force - making for an interesting cream. Transexamic acid is made by the same company that makes Transino, so it has excellent penetration. But as you probably know, tranexamic acid both reduces inflammation and whitens the skin, making it a great active ingredient even for sensitive skin. This contains Rice Power Number 11 Alpha, not 11 Plus. Rice Power 11 Plus, which I've talked about extensively on YouTube, is recognized for wrinkle improvement. It works on the epidermis, basement membrane, and dermis - promoting water retention in the epidermis, caring for the basement membrane, and increasing collagen and elastin in the dermis to improve skin texture and improve wrinkles. But what is Rice Power 11 Alpha? Originally, Rice Power Number 11 is recognized for working on the epidermis to improve the skin's water-retaining ability. In simple terms, your skin's moisture content increases - it improves your skin's ability to create its own moisture. Rice Power works on the epidermal basement membrane so cells are properly born, and through proper turnover processes, they grow while producing substances like cell gap lipids and hyaluronic acid. So you gain the ability to create moisture within yourself through your own power - that's Rice Power Number 11. The 11α is a 3x concentrated version of that. So your skin's moisture content can increase even more. When I visited Yushin Sake Brewery and spoke with the managing director, Rice Power is really interesting. Normally with ingredients, higher concentration isn't always better - there's a ceiling where if you add more, it becomes irritating instead. So higher concentration isn't always better. But apparently with Rice Power, the higher the concentration, the more the water-creating function increases. That's why the Alpha version can enhance the water function even more than Number 11. When this came out, I thought it was really amazing. Transexamic acid is truly usable for sensitive skin and dry skin too, so I think this is really good for everyone. Tranexamic acid itself is used in medical treatments for psoriasis and similar conditions, so it's very easy to use. This cream texture stretches quite a bit when applied. It's less of a cream and more - when you spread it, it's quite hydrating, almost like a serum. You'd almost think it's an essence at first glance, but it's a cream with no stickiness at all. It's really recommended for people with dryness concerns or reactive skin as a whitening cream, but the texture is such that you might want to use it as a serum. Next is Fas's Black Bright Serum. Fas is known for black rice fermented extract, making fermented cosmetics. I might have mistakenly said black beans before when I meant black rice - sorry about that. It's black rice, which is a grain. This fermented extract is the base used in toners and cleansers I've introduced before. Black rice naturally has high polyphenol content, but when fermented, it contains over 700 beneficial ingredients or so. Looking at these ingredients, there are saccharides and amino acids, but actually niacinamide is also included - the black rice fermented extract itself has quite powerful luminosity-giving properties for the skin. For the whitening active ingredient, it contains vitamin C derivative - L-ascorbic acid 2-glucoside, which is a water-soluble vitamin C derivative that works gradually once it penetrates the skin. For anti-inflammatory action, it contains tranexamic acid and dipotassium glycyrrhizinate. Since inflammation itself causes dullness and dark spots, while reducing inflammation and whitening with vitamin C derivative, it also contains niacinamide and similar brightening ingredients from the black rice fermented extract, creating what I'd call fermented whitening from within. Also, it contains glucosyl hesperidin, commonly called vitamin P, which strengthens blood vessel cell walls and promotes blood flow. So not only does it improve complexion appearance, but better blood flow means the epidermis turns over properly, and melanin gets expelled even if present - so I think this is a highly promising serum. The texture is quite viscous, but when you apply it to skin, even though it looks like it might be sticky, it actually absorbs quickly. I thought the applicator might be hard to use, but it's not - the texture looks thick but absorbs smoothly into skin without leaving any sticky feeling, which I think is quite interesting. Next is Ignis White Glow Day Serum. Since it's called a day serum, it's a whitening serum for morning use. That's because it actually contains a bit of SPF, so it's for daytime use. The whitening active ingredient is niacinamide. It contains ingredients characteristic of Ignis. Ignis is part of the Albion group. Albion cultivates herbs themselves and researches them extensively. I think it's in Shirakami in Akita - they have vast fields and a factory there where they cultivate and research various herbs and extract their essences. I think the essence that goes into Albion's Flora Drip is one such product. They're adding an essence that enhances luminosity. This time, Ignis includes extracts cultivated and extracted from Shirakami. This is Althea rosea (marshmallow) extract. Althea rosea is apparently a plant that produces purple flowers. Usually when flowers wilt, their color changes, but this purple apparently continues. That's apparently due to the polyphenols in the leaves and flowers. Through research, they found it has very strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. This Althea extract inhibits elastase activity - elastase is what cuts collagen. By suppressing this, it provides firmness and also suppresses melanin production, and prevents the glycation and hardening of collagen and elastin that causes yellowing - providing anti-glycation properties. These components are said to have the potential to provide such benefits. So whether it's firmness care, anti-inflammatory, or anti-glycation effects, they also suppress melanin oxidation and provide firmness care. It's an extract that can be expected to deliver these benefits. Apparently, this ingredient is only found in Ignis at the moment. So it's truly the secret sauce. It contains niacinamide, so with the effective ingredient plus the secret sauce, it's very much THE department store cosmetics style. But Ignis has a lovely fragrance and soothing scent. When you apply it, you might think it looks a bit white, but when you spread it on, can you see how beautifully it reflects? This is a day cream, so it has a slight makeup effect too. Since it contains pearl, it creates a soft focus effect like this. So it's both a serum and provides tone-up benefits. The fragrance is so wonderfully nice that you'd want to keep sniffing it all the time. So if you want to be soothed by plant-derived liquids, it's really great. But just one caution I'll repeat: since it's a day serum, it's best to use it in the morning. Next is this one: ETOVOS Medicated Whitening Clear Serum. This is really interesting too, or rather it's a serum packed with various patents and new findings. Of course, this is also a quasi-drug, so the active ingredient is tranexamic acid. Tranexamic acid can reduce inflammation and also provides whitening, which is a wonderful active ingredient for people with sensitive skin. And since ETOVOS itself is a brand for sensitive skin, sensitive skin is prone to inflammation, so we definitely want to suppress inflammation thoroughly. Not just tranexamic acid, but we want extra anti-inflammatory effects, so glycyrrhetinic acid stearyl is included. Glycyrrhetinic acid stearyl has a slightly stronger anti-inflammatory effect than glycyrrhetinic acid. But to enhance it even further, they added olive leaf extract. The oleuropein, a type of polyphenol in olive leaves, works together with glycyrrhetinic acid stearyl to promote glutathione oxidation in the skin. Glutathione has strong antioxidant action in the skin and also suppresses inflammation. So while glycyrrhetinic acid stearyl alone has strong anti-inflammatory effects, by adding olive leaf extract and its oleuropein, these two together promote skin glutathione oxidation again, enabling special anti-inflammatory effects. I heard that ETOVOS has applied for a patent on this. So inflammation suppression is probably the main focus. But there's another interesting aspect. When skin is rough or sensitive, the skin barrier isn't functioning well, so there are thin areas and thick areas in a random pattern. But since the skin is sensitive and dry, you can't forcibly remove the stratum corneum. So how can we smooth out this uneven barrier? The problem with uneven barrier is that light can't reflect properly, which reduces transparency. But if you forcibly remove it, dry skin can get irritated and show redness. So after various research into what's happening with sensitive skin, they found that there's an enzyme called kallikrein that's naturally present in us to shed skin cells. But in sensitive and dry skin, even though there's plenty of it, it's not working—it's dormant. So if we introduce something that activates this kallikrein, the skin cells can naturally shed without forced removal. Through investigation, they found that niacinamide matches this effect. Isn't that amazing? This is what ETOVOS researched and found—their unique mechanism. By including niacinamide, kallikrein is activated and skin cells naturally shed smoothly. This makes the stratum corneum smooth, improves absorption, and tranexamic acid provides whitening while glycyrrhetinic acid stearyl and olive leaf provide powerful anti-inflammatory effects. Even sensitive skin can achieve overall transparency—a truly interesting serum packed with patents and new discoveries. When dispensed, it has a gel-like consistency. Being for sensitive skin, it absorbs smoothly into the skin with solid moisture. I'd say it has the most moisture of all these products. It's quite fresh and watery, and since sensitive skin people dislike stickiness, there's moisture but it doesn't form a film. It's a serum that absorbs smoothly. Next is this: Epistem Bright Plasma Serum. Epistem is a brand that takes its approach from clinic treatments. The "Bright" name is attached, probably coming from there. The active ingredient in this serum is koji acid. Originally, we have light therapy, like IPL facials. This light therapy not only destroys melanin but also turns on genes for whitening. This was recognized by Stanford University, so light therapy removes spots but fundamentally rejuvenates skin. Through deep research, they identified what's being switched: the genes that produce melanin are turned off. Since we can't apply this light therapy to products, they researched whether there's a plant compound with the same effect to turn off these genes. The plant compound complex they found is what's been included in previous Epistem series. But this time, instead of IPL, it's inspired by plasma treatment. Plasma treatment eliminates dullness. This treatment activates growth factors in the skin to promote epidermal turnover. When epidermal turnover is promoted, cells containing melanin are shed, eliminating dullness. Since plasma treatment activates amphiregulin, a growth factor, they researched whether there's a plant compound that activates amphiregulin. They found that a complex of skin-brightening extract and Belamcanda chinensis extract has similar effects. So they include both the plant compound similar to IPL and the plant compound similar to plasma treatment—that's what makes Epistem amazing. Of course, they also include antioxidants, so with antioxidants plus the active ingredient plus their secret sauce, it's very much THE department store cosmetics. Since Rohto Pharmaceutical makes it, because they're a pharmaceutical company, they understand what plasma treatment does and how to create that effect in cosmetics, which is really interesting. For texture, it's like this whitish serum that spreads quite well when you apply it. It really spreads nicely and absorbs smoothly. The texture is similar to ETOVOS—it's not sticky but feels fresh and absorbs smoothly. So it doesn't interfere with other serums or skincare. Finally, this one: DUO The Medicated Wrinkle Serum. The active ingredient is niacinamide, plus it contains dipotassium glycyrrhizinate, providing whitening through niacinamide and anti-inflammatory through glycyrrhizinate. It might seem simple, but this too has a proper secret sauce: collagen care. Though it's whitening, the concept is that you can also do firmness care simultaneously. If you have strong firmness from within, light reflects beautifully, giving transparency. So it's more of a preventative for sagging and loss of elasticity. The way it does this is through shiso leaf extract, bamboo leaf extract, and seaweed extract combined with niacinamide to promote collagen oxidation. But you can't just produce new collagen—you need quality collagen. To properly develop collagen, they include starfruit extract, melissa leaf extract, and evening primrose extract. This creates robust collagen while preventing excessive breakdown, cultivating quality. So while it provides whitening, it mainly focuses on firmness, creating brightening through elasticity and light reflection. I felt it was more elasticity-focused than whitening-focused, so if you want whitening but also want to address sagging and elasticity, it's really excellent. For texture, it's quite rich and concentrated. Because it provides firmness care, it's quite concentrated, but though it initially feels rich, when you spread it on skin it feels refreshing and becomes fresh and watery. Including active ingredients in the cell membrane probably contributes to the texture being fresh while also plumping. So, how was that? I introduced quite a few—7 products.
