【仲宗根泉×友利新】沖縄の方言で会話したら面白すぎた【コラボ】

みなさんこんにちは、友利新です。今日はなんとこの方に来ていただきました、中曽根泉さんです。中曽根泉さん、よろしくお願いします。 今週は中曽根泉です。すごい、紅白に出ている方ですからね。今日このコラボが決まってから、いろんな方に『泉さんに会うんです』って言ったら、みんなに『え、羨ましい！』『どんな企画やるの？』って言われて。 私が会いたい人だけど、動画にするなら何がいいかなって考えたんです。私と泉さんの共通点って言ったら、沖縄出身しかないんですよ。私は歌が歌えないので。じゃあ、沖縄あるあるでいこうかなと思って。不思議な体験だったり、時間にルーズなところだったり、いろいろあるので、今日はぶっちゃけて『沖縄あるある』でいこうと思います。 よろしくお願いします。ずっと沖縄ですもんね。だから喋ってたら方言に引っ張られそうになるんです。 私は沖縄本島じゃなくて宮古島出身なんです。だから沖縄本島の言葉とはまたちょっと違うんですよ。 ――ファミリーマートって何て言いますか？ 「ファミリーマート」って言います。 ――え、ダサっ！ これが沖縄本島の人の、離島への“格差”なんですよ（笑）。私が宮古島から沖縄本島の高校に行った時、『ファミリーマートって言ってみて』って言われて、『ダサっ』て同じこと言われました。 本島の高校に3年間通った時、本島の訛りと標準語、両方に合わせなきゃいけなくて。でもやっぱり方言に引っ張られそうになるんです。 ――高校から本島に来たんですか？ 中学3年生まで宮古島にいて、高校は沖縄本島。その後は東京なので、実は本島にいたのは3年間だけなんです。18歳からずっと東京なので、どちらかというと東京の人間なんですよ。 ――でも訛ってるの隠しきれてないですよね（笑） ――じゃあ『濡れた』って何て言います？ 「あいじゃ」って言いません？ ――『あいじゃ』？初めて聞きました。「あが」（痛い）じゃなくて「あいじゃ」なんですね。宮古の言葉って独特なんですよ。 ――手に汗握るは？ 「ちにびちゃびちゃ」 ――蛇みたいですね（笑） ――『すごいね』は何て言います？ 「でーじなん」とか言いません？ ――「大豆すごいさいが」って言いますね。 ――「さいが」は「〜じゃない？」みたいな意味です。 全然違う方言を聞いてるみたいな感覚になります。東京に来た時、宮古の友達と電車で喋ってたら、隣の人に『日本人だと思わなかった』って言われたことがあります（笑）。 石垣は少しイントネーションが違って、宮古はもっと田舎な感じというか、島の大きさも関係してるのかなと思います。 ――『いらっしゃいませ』は？ 沖縄本島は「めんそーれ」ですが、宮古では「んみゃーち」って言います。 ――『んみゃーち』？虫の名前みたいですね（笑）でも可愛いです。 実は宮古は沖縄本島に憧れがあって、昔はケンタッキーもなかったんです。本島に行った人が『お土産何がいい？』って聞かれて『ケンタッキー山盛り買ってきて』って言われるくらい。私が高校生の時にやっと1軒できました。お弁当にケンタッキーが入ってる子は神様扱いでした（笑）。 ――『最高にすごい』は？ 「うわーり」って言います。 ――『うわーり』？（笑）でもこうやって沖縄同士で盛り上がれるのって本当に嬉しいです。今回のツアーでこの中で沖縄出身は私たちだけなので、余計にテンション上がります。今日一緒にお話しして、距離がぐっと縮まりました。 ――ユタって何ですか？ ユタはユタです。「かんかかりゃー」とも言います。子どもが生まれる時や家を建てる時に、ユタに相談するんです。 ――『なーふぃ』って知ってます？ 名前をつけたお祝いにみんなで集まってご飯を食べることです。 ――それは知らないです、うちの地域ではやらないかもしれません。 ――清明祭（シーミー）はやりますか？ うちは旧暦の1月16日に、お墓の前でみんなで食べる「十六日祭（じゅうるくにち）」をやります。清明祭はやらないですね。 ――お正月にお金を燃やすのは同じですか？ 神様へのお供えとしてお金を燃やしますが、これは家の長がやる神聖な儀式で、子どもがやるものではないんです。長男に受け継がれていきます。 ――ちなみにおばあちゃんのお名前は？ 「カニメガ」です。 ――え！？作った名前じゃないですよね？（笑） 本当に「カニメガ」なんです。宮古では「カマド」「ウシ」「ツル」などと並んで、わりとポピュラーな名前なんですよ。老人ホームに行っても『カニメガさん』がたくさんいます（笑）。 宮古には家ごとの屋号（ヤゴー）もあって、うちは「タカガニヤ」って呼ばれています。背が高い人が多かったからそう呼ばれるようになったそうです。おじいおばあ同士だと、本名じゃなくて屋号で呼び合うので、何を言ってるか全然わからないこともあります。 宮古の海は本当に綺麗で、世界のミヤコブルーって言われるくらいです。モルディブに行った時も『宮古の方が綺麗だったな』って思ったくらいです。沖縄本島の海も綺麗ですが、曇りの日でも宮古の海は透明度が全然違うんです。ハワイに長く住んでいる方も『沖縄の方が綺麗』って驚いていました。 ただ、沖縄人はちょっとルーズなところもあります。『7時集合』って言っても、みんな7時にお風呂に入り始めて、結局8時くらいに集まる、みたいな（笑）。あと、はっきり『行かない』と言えなくて、『行くね』って言っておいて結局行かない、みたいなことも。それも沖縄人の優しさなんですよね。 今日は本当に盛り上がりすぎました！怖い話をする予定だったのに、こんなに『沖縄あるある』で盛り上がるとは思いませんでした。宮古に行ったことがない方はぜひ一度行ってみてください、本当に違いますから。 最後に、私のチャンネルではこんな感じでゆるく話していますが、泉さんのチャンネルでは私が先生として真面目にお話ししていますので、そちらもぜひご覧ください。 今日は本当にありがとうございました！また次の動画でお会いしましょう。さよなら！

Hello everyone, this is Arata Tomori. Today I'm joined by none other than Izumi Nakasone! Thank you for being here, Izumi-san. Once this collaboration was decided, I told various people 'I'm going to meet Izumi-san,' and everyone said 'Wow, I'm jealous! What kind of project are you doing?' She's someone I personally wanted to meet, but I thought about what would make a good video. The one thing we have in common is that we're both from Okinawa—I definitely can't sing like she does! So I thought we'd do an 'Okinawa things' style video—strange experiences, being notoriously unpunctual, all sorts of things. Today we're going to be totally honest about 'Okinawa things.' You've lived in Okinawa your whole life, right? So when I talk, I feel myself getting pulled back into the dialect. Actually, I'm not from mainland Okinawa—I'm from Miyako Island, so our dialect is a bit different from mainland Okinawa's. — How do you say 'FamilyMart'? We just say 'FamilyMart.' — That's so uncool! This is the 'gap' between mainland Okinawans and outer island people! When I moved from Miyako to a high school on the mainland, they said 'Try saying FamilyMart' and made fun of me the same way. During those three years of high school on the mainland, I had to balance both the mainland accent and standard Japanese. But I still feel myself getting pulled toward the dialect. — Did you move to the mainland for high school? I was on Miyako Island until 9th grade, then high school on mainland Okinawa. After that, Tokyo—so I was only on the mainland for three years total. I've been in Tokyo since I was 18, so I'm more like a Tokyo person now. — But you can't hide the accent completely, can you? (laughs) — How do you say 'wet'? Don't you say 'aija'? — 'Aija'? That's my first time hearing that! Not 'aga' (which means 'ouch'), but 'aija.' Miyako dialect is really unique. — What about 'sweaty palms' (nervous)? 'Chi ni bicha bicha' (blood all sticky) — That sounds like a snake! (laughs) — How do you say 'amazing'? Don't you say 'deijinan'? — We say 'daizu sugoi saiga.' — 'Saiga' means something like 'isn't it?' It really feels like listening to a completely different dialect. When I came to Tokyo and was talking with a friend from Miyako on the train, the person next to us said 'I didn't think you were Japanese!' (laughs) Ishigaki has a slightly different intonation, and Miyako feels more rural somehow—maybe it has to do with the size of the island. — How do you say 'welcome'? On mainland Okinawa it's 'mensore,' but in Miyako we say 'nmyaachi.' — 'Nmyaachi'? That sounds like an insect's name! (laughs) But it's cute. Actually, Miyako always admired the mainland—we didn't even have KFC back then! When someone went to the mainland, people would ask them to 'buy a huge pile of KFC' as a souvenir. The first KFC opened on the island when I was in high school. If your bento had KFC in it, you were treated like royalty! (laughs) — How do you say 'the best/amazing'? We say 'uwaari.' — 'Uwaari'?! (laughs) But honestly, connecting like this with another Okinawan person makes me so happy. On this tour, we're the only Okinawans in the group, so it means even more. Talking with you today, I really feel like our distance has closed. — What is 'Yuta' (a spiritual medium)? Yuta is just Yuta. We also say 'kankakariya.' People consult a Yuta when a baby is born or when building a house. — Do you know 'naafi'? It's a celebration where everyone gathers to eat after naming a baby. — I don't know that one—maybe we don't do that in our area. — Do you do Seimei Festival (Shiimii)? We do 'Jurokunichi,' a gathering at the grave on the 16th day of the New Year in the lunar calendar. We don't do Shiimii. — Do you also burn money at New Year's? We burn paper money as an offering to the ancestors, but it's a sacred ritual performed by the head of the household, not something children do. It gets passed down to the eldest son. — By the way, what's your grandmother's name? It's 'Kanimega.' — Wait, you didn't just make that up, right?! (laughs) It's really 'Kanimega.' In Miyako, along with names like 'Kamado,' 'Ushi,' and 'Tsuru,' it's actually a fairly common name. Even at nursing homes, there are lots of 'Kanimega-sans'! (laughs) In Miyako, there are also household names (yagō). Ours is called 'Takaganiya,' apparently because there were a lot of tall people in the family. Grandparents often call each other by these household names instead of their real names, so sometimes you have no idea what they're talking about. The sea in Miyako is truly beautiful—it's known as 'Miyako Blue' worldwide. Even when I went to the Maldives, I thought Miyako's ocean was more beautiful. Mainland Okinawa's ocean is beautiful too, but even on cloudy days, Miyako's water has completely different clarity. I even met someone who had lived in Hawaii for a long time, and they said Okinawa's ocean was more beautiful, which surprised them. That said, Okinawan people can be a bit lax about time. Even if we say '7 PM meeting,' everyone starts taking their bath around 7, so we end up gathering around 8 instead! (laughs) Also, we can't say 'no' directly—we'll say 'sure, I'll come' and then just not show up. But I think that's part of Okinawan kindness, in a way. Today turned out to be so much fun! We were originally planning to talk about scary stories, but ended up completely absorbed in 'Okinawa things' instead.
