Hello everyone, I'm Shin Tomi. Today, I'm honestly so excited that I can barely contain myself, as I've come to cover Dior's cutting-edge science. I've covered science symposiums before, but since this is the 2024 version, there are new research findings to explore. Let's check it out. Look at this, an incredibly luxurious panel. When it comes to Dior, you might have trouble seeing this, but Dior's Reverse Aging Science. Rather than stopping time, it's about reversing age—reverse aging. This was discussed at last year's symposium too, and Dior has been researching reverse aging with over 600 researchers for more than 50 years. These are the board members for this event, and they're truly distinguished professors. There's Professor Patricia, whom I interviewed last year, and Professor Knut from Kyoto University's CiRA, known for iPS cells researched by Professor Yamanaka who won the Nobel Prize. Additionally, these two professors visiting from Stanford University. These truly remarkable individuals are serving as board members for Dior's Reverse Aging research. New science is emerging from this work. Look at how cool this is. As I mentioned, Professor Yamanaka from Kyoto University's CiRA, who won the Nobel Prize for iPS cells, is conducting research here. I was nervous speaking with him, but his Japanese is incredibly fluent, so I could understand everything even without English. And here's the discovery from Dior Science: cellular respiration in the skin. I want to hear more details about how this relates to reverse aging, and I'd also like to hear Professor Knut's voice. Look here—inspiration from regenerative medicine. Since iPS cells are all about regenerative medicine, I want to learn more about oxygen supply to the skin. I could probably talk about this for an hour, but since time is limited, let me head to the symposium. There are many people here, but I've spotted a leading figure for an interview. This is BT scientist Miyo Okabe. Ms. Okabe, thank you so much. Hello, thank you. How was it? I got another incredible interview today. Thank you. This time, I was really moved. I was shocked to hear that red blood cells, the fact that research is struggling with this. We were shocked, weren't we? And then, the flow of aging research is unified. Certainly, various keywords like NK cells came up. So when I asked earlier what happened, they said senescent cells can definitely be eliminated, and I was so delighted. Something to look forward to. Something to look forward to. I'm not afraid of aging anymore. This kind of research, combined with the product's texture, shows they're putting in effort there. That's right. And then the product texture too, they're putting in effort there. That's right. In one sentence about Dior Science, please summarize. Science-based anti-aging, or rather reverse aging, is something that feels very close now. I felt that expectation. Thank you. Ms. Okabe, I look forward to working with you again. What's this? What are you doing? Next, I got Endo-san, the editor-in-chief of VOCE. Well, how was it, Endo-san? Every time I'm surprised by Dior's science leaders, but I still can't quite understand everything. It was a bit difficult. The fact that they're saying reverse aging, it's not just a fantasy—I actually felt that. But really, I can see they're basing this on actual research. Do you do various things in your media? Of course. I felt the possibilities of human cells, so readers will be pleased, and I'll study up to communicate that. Thank you. Thank you. I was shocked. Since I was confused, she approached me. Approach me. Suga-san, who is always with us in VOCE videos and magazines, was there. How was it? Today was amazing. I've actually visited this research facility. You've been there? As expected. You've been there, Suga-san? Wow, amazing. Is it really amazing? It's amazing. It's amazing. It's wonderful. I want to go too. Let's go next time. It's a wonderful research facility. The research facilities are great, and they've made windows large so that researchers can work with high motivation and good research can be done. As expected. That's leading to this reverse aging. This research has been conducted with Stanford from before, and I've been there too. You haven't been everywhere, have you, Suga-san? Well, not really. It's only exciting. Please continue to watch the history. Thank you. That's Suga-san for you. She's been everywhere. So, with the excitement from that presentation still not fading, I'd like to interview two people today. First, Mirjini, Community Director of Dior Science, and Mae-san from the Asia Innovation Research Center at the Research Center. Thank you both. The first thing that shocked me today was that they definitively said reverse aging is possible. This really surprised and moved me. Yes, of course. That's very good news for my skin. Today, we can reverse the biological age of our skin. By age 12 and above. Today we can reverse this biological age. We're very proud of this direction. That's why we built this reverse aging board and decided to work with world-leading researchers to reverse reverse aging. What's really interesting is that normally you'd start with research to stop aging, but this time we want to actually experiment with the mechanisms of how aging occurs. In our research, we researched aging as research to stop aging, but this time we want to experiment with mechanisms of how aging progresses. We work with various professors, including obstetricians, dermatologists, and iPS researchers at the facility where Professor Yamanaka, who won the Nobel Prize for iPS cells, conducts research, collaborating with experts from various fields to understand aging mechanisms, and then reverse aging together. The idea of researching aging, understanding its mechanisms, and then rewinding from there felt very grand. As for cellular respiration, is cellular respiration the origin of the law of cellular respiration? Through cooperation with CiRA and with fundamental cooperation from Professor Prin Bolution, the impact of today's cellular energy and the impact of cellular respiration show that oxygen is deeply involved in aging. It seemed like oxygen would naturally decline with aging, but the fact that they clearly demonstrated that when oxygen supply within cells stagnates, aging occurs, and that this is the mechanism of cellular respiration, was truly surprising. Dior's unique attention to epidermal stem cells was noted previously, and we learned this at last year's presentation. These stem cells also experience aging through oxygen supply. These stem cells age as oxygen supply declines. One thing that impressed me is how epidermal stem cells receive proper oxygen supply so that skin cells are properly regenerated. That alone shocked me greatly, but another thing—senescent cells, SAPs, which are recently discussed. The oxygen of NK cells themselves, which attack these senescent cells, becomes unstable in supply, so the ability to attack SAPs also declines. That really shocked me. Yes. We focused on fat loss and noticed that cellular respiration is lost. Of course, cellular respiration is provided by fat and glucose to your skin and cells in the form of ATP molecules. ATP molecules are energy for skin cells. For example, collagen production is also very important. We discovered the state of cellular respiration at the cellular level. We also discovered the state of the epidermis and dermis at the skin level. Therefore, ATP molecules provide energy to cells, and increasing cellular respiration and ATP production is very effective. Because natural oxygen supply for aging and reactions with ATP is important. In employment services where aging is important, it's important to prove whether technical progress occurs. By supplying oxygen well, NK cell enhancement becomes possible. Technical progress is important. Very effective. What's interesting is that they're not increasing oxygen supply but rather supplying it at the best balance for the body. Too much oxygen isn't good, and of course too little isn't either. So they're adjusting the body's balance, not just saying increase oxygen. By properly adjusting and increasing respiration rate to normalize oxygen—that's a really interesting approach. The transport system, for example, blood contains a lot of hemoglobin, a globin protein, but this transport or globin system that's sent to cells has barely been researched. The fact that a cosmetics company is talking about this cutting edge while research is so limited really shocked me. Hemoglobin is actually the most abundant in blood, but the globin sent to cells is specific to cells. Other globins are sent to the brain and muscles, but today we focus on cellular globin. Cellular globin is very effective in helping skin health. Helping cellular health to help skin health. And that's not all. They didn't just discover it and find components to address it—making it penetrate is also incredibly important. So I'd like to ask Mae-san about this. I think penetration technology is really important this time. Dior was the world's first company to put liposomes in cosmetics, right? That's right. Dior was the first in the world to incorporate liposomes, and we continue to evolve them daily. This time, Dior developed something called Exoliposomes, where components that work on oxygen transporters are placed inside liposomes and made to penetrate deeply—that's important. We developed Exoliposomes that make active ingredients that work on oxygen transporters penetrate. Exoliposomes are even better than liposomes, right? What exactly are they? Exoliposomes contain two vectors. First, liposomes penetrate the extract treatment into the upper part of the epidermis. Then the second vector, acid factin, continues that work and penetrates even deeper, allowing 100% penetration—maintaining a constant state over 8 hours. Liposomes penetrate alone, but acid factin is like taking it deeper, right? Yes, combining these two increased penetration by 33% according to our data. I think that's unique to cosmetics. You research and discover components, but just applying it sitting on the skin's surface is meaningless. Properly penetrating to where it works is amazing. Was it quite difficult? Yes, properly formulating into liposomes and combining them with acid factin for penetration while maintaining texture is... Right, you need the technology, research data, matching components, plus penetration and texture—three things are needed. Right, the product really contains all this technology packed in. You're properly researching and collecting data on how much oxygen increases when observed visually, right? Yes, we use risk measurement, self-assessment, and have dermatologists evaluate—we're particular about evaluation too. Especially how much oxygen increases this time. How much the concentration increases. How exactly did you do that? It's like an ultrasound that doesn't hurt your body, you place it and measure oxygen quantity. Normally with something like a pulse oximeter you can see blood oxygen, but being able to see cellular oxygen is really groundbreaking. We measure oxygen concentration within the skin, and that leads to firmness effects, with data on that combined too. That's unique to Dior, right? Isn't that amazing? Because it increases, not just amazing, but finding it without hurting skin as standard, and also collecting data that it properly leads to skin firmness—that's impressive. Thank you. All the professors in every presentation say aging can be stopped, it can be reversed. If I'd heard that normally, I'd think it was fantasy, but it's starting to feel less fictional. Since I think this is the start or middle, I'm really looking forward to hearing Dior Science again next year and the year after with updates. All the events are truly finished. They're all really top professors. At the end, they were laughing about "near future"—so they probably already know about even more shocking reverse aging advances coming. That's why they were so emphatic saying aging can be stopped, reverse aging, rewinding is standard now—I think I understand their meaning better now. It seems like this will grow even bigger next year and the year after, and I'm even more moved. I think I'll be fine without adding anything. So today I brought you the latest Dior Science for 2025. If you thought it was good, please hit the good button. If you think Dior is really amazing, please write in the comments. See you in the next video. Goodbye!
