Hello everyone, this is Tomori Ara. Today I'd like to talk about the cosmetic treatments that I'm really glad I did in 2025. Of course skincare is important, but while doing basic skincare every day, I think cosmetic treatments are also important for giving your skin a boost. I value both, so this time I want to introduce the cosmetic treatments I'm truly glad I did in 2025. If you're interested, please watch until the end. Before I dive into the treatments I'm glad I did, let me first talk about what I've been concerned about lately. Until recently, pores and acne weren't a very high priority for me. While treating those, I was more concerned about sagging. My face is rather round, like Anpanman, so until about last year I thought I wanted to work on reducing fat while treating the sagging. But this year I lost quite a bit of weight—about 2-3 kg. It's not that my face became gaunt, but rather than wanting to reduce this roundness, I wanted to smooth out the slightly loose skin, like ironing it flat, and I really wanted to make my neck look nicer. Rather than focusing on pores, I wanted plump, dewy, sag-free skin. Since I have oily skin, I still have oil, but I also had some inner-dryness, so I wanted to improve that too—these were part of my 2025 beauty treatments. So keeping that in mind, I think this content might be helpful for those with similar concerns. So, the first thing I'm glad I did is peeling. Peels using larger molecular weight ingredients like PHA and LHA that leave moisture in the skin. In Korea it's called Aqua Peel, and in Japan there's HydraFacial as well as La La Peel and others. By adding these, you can flush away dullness while adding moisture to the skin. After doing this kind of moisture-retentive peel, there's a machine called Caresys that helps properly deliver ingredients like tranexamic acid, which normally doesn't penetrate well, as well as vitamin A. Doing this really flushes away dullness and gives the skin a plump, moist texture. Rather than peels specifically targeting pores, I did this kind of peel focused on hydration and radiance about once every 2-3 months this year, and I feel like it's brought out some clarity in my skin. The second treatment I'm glad I did is a machine called Sofwave. Sofwave is called the "third generation lift." Until now, lifting treatments worked by heating the muscle layer called SMAS, deep beneath the skin, to tighten and lift. But Sofwave instead delivers intense heat to the uppermost layer of the dermis, close to the epidermis. This area actually produces type III collagen, the softer type of collagen. By properly targeting this area, type III collagen increases, plumping the skin. Since it's so close to the epidermis, it also has a strong skin-beautifying effect, bringing clarity, and because some heat also reaches the epidermis, it's like using an iron to smooth things out. So it's an image of nurturing collagen while also having a brightening effect on the epidermis and smoothing out fine wrinkles. I did this a few times starting last year, and this year it received approval as a sagging treatment. Many clinics have introduced this machine. This year I did it once around May and once at the end of the year, eliminating firmness and wrinkle issues and giving my collagen a real boost. The third one is skin-nourishing injections. My favorite is Pluryal's Densifyl. It's a PN formulation—polynucleotide, DNA fragments derived from salmon testes. By injecting this, moisture retention improves dramatically. As I mentioned, I have inner-dryness, so rather than adding oil, I wanted to create moisture, which is why I chose this. If you do it once a month for three months, you don't need to do it again for about six months. So I did it in January, then 1, 2, 3 sessions, and then starting around September, six months later, I did 9, 10, 11 sessions again, with a gap in between. When you do it, it really brings firmness, so it becomes a bit addictive—that's why I keep doing this one. The fourth is a radiofrequency machine called InMode. There are many RF machines out there, but if Thermacool gives a tightening, contracting effect, InMode gives more of a plumping effect. Thermacool only needs to be done once every six months, but InMode can be done as often as once a month. So Thermacool is more effective overall, but for me right now, it's more like maintenance—I wanted to stimulate collagen production for a plumping effect, so I used InMode about once every 2-3 months to achieve that plumper look. The fifth is a machine called XLV. XLV has a mode for reducing redness as well, so besides the standard 1064nm laser for firmness, it also focuses on the 500nm range for redness. When doing treatments to remove brown spots and dullness, redness tends to remain, so adding XLV helps boost clarity too. I continued doing XLV about once every 2-3 months this year, just like last year. Also, this isn't a cosmetic treatment, but something I'm really glad I did is DNA-based skin diagnosis testing. This actually changed not just my skincare but also my cosmetic treatment choices quite significantly. It helped me discover treatment options I hadn't noticed myself, so using things like this became a trigger for choosing both skincare and cosmetic treatments. It's not related to cosmetic treatments at all, but I'm really glad I did it. As I always say, skincare is the foundation—you maintain with skincare while boosting with cosmetic treatments. This "maintain" part is really important. If your base is 1, then 1×2 is just 2. But if your base is 5, multiplying by the same 2 gives you 10. So by properly raising your baseline through skincare, and then applying cosmetic treatments on top of that, you get a real boost. But you can't just keep boosting endlessly, so you go back to skincare to maintain your baseline, and then boost again—this "maintain and boost" cycle is, in my opinion, the best combination of cosmetic treatments and skincare. So I hope you'll all think of it not as cosmetic treatments alone—of course skincare alone is fine too—but borrowing a bit of power from cosmetic treatments and making good use of them. In 2026 too, I plan to try many different items and various cosmetic treatments to maintain my results, and I'll make videos about it as I go, so please look forward to that. So, how was it? I've talked about the cosmetic treatments I'm glad I did in 2025. As I always say, cosmetic treatments aren't absolute. Skincare really is the foundation, and what I talked about today were treatments I did for the specific concerns I mentioned at the beginning, so it doesn't mean you should necessarily do the same things. For cosmetic treatments, I think it's best to properly consult with your own skin and talk to your doctor—not saying "I want to do this," but rather explaining your concerns and asking what would be best. I think that kind of counseling approach leads to the best treatment choices, so I'd be happy if you could approach it that way. Thank you for watching until the end today. See you in the next video. Goodbye.
