皆さんこんにちは、友利新です。2024年は本当にたくさんのUV商品が出てますよね。もうほぼほぼ揃ったんじゃないかなと思います。このYouTubeチャンネルでもいくつか紹介していて、ポーラのB.Aだったり、資生堂のアネッサ「どちらがいいですか？」みたいな感じで出した動画もありますし、あとは大注目だったオバジ見たい、ビタミンCがたっぷり入ったオバジも紹介しています。そして美白美容液で有名な白潤プレミアムもこちらでご紹介しています。あとはちょっと前になってしまってみなさん忘れているかもしれないんですけれども、花粉の肌荒れでも大丈夫だよってくれるスック、というところの日焼け止めもこちらでご紹介しています。なので結構ね、日焼け止めいくつかご紹介しているんですけれども、それで深掘りはしているので、それ以外のもので「今期、これも先生深掘りをしてほしい」というものがたくさんあったので、今回は「2024年すごい日焼け止め10選」ということでご紹介していない日焼け止めで「これはすごい」と思うものを10個紹介していきたいと思いますので、最後までご覧ください。 まず今期のトレンドなんですけれども、2024年、何度も言ってますけれど、まずもう本当に美容液のような日焼け止めがたくさん出ています。美白の有効成分だったり、そのブランドの秘伝のタレだったりというようなものがしっかり入っている日焼け止めが多いかなというふうに思います。なので多分今回もそれがメインになるのと、あとはやはりこの膜ですね。日焼け止めというのは日焼けをしないようにしなきゃいけないので、どれぐらい紫外線のカット効果があるのかということもポイントになってくるので、そういう膜の形成の仕方だったりとかというところがポイントになってくるかなと思います。10個のうち3つはですね敏感肌対応というふうなものをご紹介していきます。絶対的にこれを使ったら大丈夫というわけではないんですけど、一応敏感肌対応というものもご紹介したいなと思っております。 では早速一つ目なんですが、もうこれを深掘りしてほしいということがすごく多かったのがこちら、コスメデコルテ AQミリオリティ UVプロテクション ブライトニング&リンクルです。日焼け止め美容液というふうに書いております。こちらはですね、SPF50+PA++++の最高防御率で55g、なんと11,000円税込、1万円超えの日焼け止めになっております。でもこれね、もう本当に発売されるよっていう風な情報が出てからもう凄い話題なんですよね。ブライトニング&リンクルなので美白とシワ、どちらにもアプローチするような成分が入っているんです。それがトラネキサム酸とナイアシンアミドになるんです。 トラネキサム酸というのは抗炎症作用があって、紫外線が当たってシミを作ってくださいという信号をブロックするのが知られていますし、ナイアシンアミドというのはできてしまったメラニンが表皮の細胞に受け渡されるのを抑えるし、あとはヒアルロン酸とかの産生とかを促してくれることでシワ改善でおなじみの成分ですよね。なのでそれがちゃんと医薬部外品として認められるぐらいしっかり入っています。なのでそれだけでもすごく話題なんですね。これは紫外線吸収剤も散乱剤もしっかり入っていて、紫外線吸収剤と散乱剤をうまく組み合わせることによって高い紫外線防御力があるんですね。 紫外線吸収剤でもA波を高くカットするものとB波を高くカットするものがあるんですが、どっちもねバランスよく入っているので、特にUVAっていうのは肌の奥の方にいて、そのUVAの中でもロングUVAっていうのが光劣化というものを起こしてくるメインとも言われているので、そういったものをしっかりカットできるような紫外線吸収剤も入っているので、そういったところも一つポイントかなと思います。 これも塗り心地がもう吃驚するんですが、肌に伸びますね。ピンクっぽい感じなんですけれども、日焼け止めというよりは美容クリームです。めちゃめちゃ気持ちいい美容クリーム。トーンアップとかはそこまではないかなぁとは思うんですけれども、肌がもうとにかく柔らかい。クリームを塗った後のような柔らかい肌感なんですけど、ベタベタ感は一切ないっていう。こういう形状してるから日焼け止めだなってわかるんですけど、これクリームのジャーに入っていたら絶対日焼け止めってわかんないぐらい本当に気持ちいい質感になっています。 こちらはですね、さっき言ったナイアシンアミドとトラネキサム酸以外にも、AQミリオリティシリーズの化粧水乳液クリームってあるんですけど、これと同じ美容成分が日焼け止めにも入っています。それが何かっていうと、まずはオリーブの葉のエキスですね。紫外線と神経で炎症起こすときに出る炎症性のサイトカインというのがあるんですが、そのマーカーを抑えるっていうものになっています。もう一つが放射線化エキスというものなんですが、放射線化エキス自体も紫外線が当たった時にメラノサイトでメラニンを作く時には、チロシナーゼっていうものが活性化されて、それでメラニンを作っていくんですが、チロシナーゼの活性を抑えるというふうにも言われています。 もう一つがですね、西洋ボダイジュエキスというものなんですね。コラーゲンとかエラスチンを切る分解酵素があるんですが、それを抑制してくれる。もちろん有効成分としてはトラネキサム酸とナイアシンアミドなんですけれども、秘伝のタレのオリーブだったりとか、放射線化エキスだったり、西洋ボダイジュエキスというものが入ることによって、よりブライトニングとリンクルケアということをしているよって。プラスアルファはコスメデコルテといえばリポソーム。リポソームというのはカプセル化なんですけども、そのカプセルがA級史上一番小さいカプセルなんですね。カプセルの中に美容成分と紫外線吸収剤、散乱剤を入れてちっちゃくして日焼け止めを作っているので、塗った時もクリームのようなテクスチャ。プラスアルファは2つの有効成分が入っている。プラスアルファ秘伝のタレっていうものが入っているので、日焼け止め美容液で書くぐらいのものだなと。お値段はねちょっと可愛くないんですけれども、すごく肌には気持ちのいい美容液日焼け止めっていうものの代名詞の一つかなと思います。 次は4月21日に発売されるこちら、メナードフェアルーセント薬用ブライトニングデイクリームになります。こちらもSPF50+PA++++の日焼け止めクリームになっています。40g、税込み7,700円になっています。これもねまあまあなお値段なんですが、どんな感じかというと、白っぽいクリームになっているんですが、馴染んでくると許容範囲かな。一瞬ね白くなるかなと思いきや、比べてみるとそこまでかなというふうに思います。もちろんベタつきはないんですけれどもコスメデコルテよりは少ししっとり感があるかな。コスメデコルテと似てはいる感じなんですけど、こちらの方がよりさっぱりしてるかなとは思います。 メナードさんといえば、2023年にシワ改善の有効成分を出していきましたよね。メナードさんってすごく肝細胞の研究だったりとか、ブライトニングの研究も進んでいて、フェアルーセントシリーズはデイクリームの他に美容液だったりとか、お化粧水とかもあるんですが、有効成分としてはリン酸Lアスコルビルマグネシウムという、通称APMという安定型のビタミンCが配合されている、それがしっかり入っているというのと、今回のこのメナードさんの素晴らしいところはですね、日焼けをしないように日焼け止めを塗りましょうって言ってるじゃないですか。でも日焼け止めがない時っていうのはどうやって肌細胞を守っているかというと、紫外線からダメージを受けないようにするというシステムが備わっています。それが肌本来のプロテクト機能なんですよ。 どういう機能かというと、肌の角層の方にある天然のサンスクリーン剤と呼ばれているウロカニン酸というものがあります。肌の下流層から角層の間にしっかりとあると、紫外線が当たった時にですね、肌の細胞にダメージが少ないということがわかっているんですね。でもこのウロカニン酸っていうのはUVが当たれば当たるほどなくなるし、大人になればなるほど少なくなっていくんですよ。なので今回メナードさんはですね、高い紫外線防護力ということで、ちゃんとUVAとUVBをブロックするような紫外線吸収剤と散乱剤をしっかり混ぜているんですけれども、そもそも私たちの肌の防御因子のウロカニン酸を増やすようなものはないかっていうように探して、ウロカニン酸を増やすエキスですね。ハマナスの葉のエキスっていうものを見つけ出してしっかり入れて、紫外線吸収剤や散乱剤でも守るんだけれども、お肌自体がちゃんと紫外線に強い肌にしていくっていうようなことをしたのが、このフェアルーセントの薬用ブライトニングデイクリームになっています。焼けないようなお肌にしていくっていうのがやっぱり理想なので、すごく頼りになる日焼け止めなんじゃないかなというふうに思います。 続いてはこちら、カバーマークトリートメントデイクリームです。去年も見ましたよっていう方多いと思うんですよ。カバーマークで2023年もほぼほぼ同じようなパッケージの同じトリートメントデイクリームっていうのを出してるんですね。クリームのような感じなんですけど、日焼け止め効果も高いっていうものだったんですが、それが1年経ってさらにバージョンアップしています。塗り心地としては全く去年と変わってないです。こんな感じのクリームで、わかりますかね。塗っただけでこのみずみずしさ。本当に気持ちがいいんですよね。 このカバーマークどういう日焼け止めですごく人気だったかというと、そもそもカバーマークさんというのは昔から肌に炎症が起こることが肌の老化を促すということの研究をしているのと、骨髄幹細胞というものに着目をしているブランドになります。紫外線が当たった時にですね、私たちの肌っていうのは炎症によって肌にダメージが加わるっていうこともわかってるんですが、実は炎症が起こっている場所っていうのはですね、いろんなシグナルを出してですね、連鎖していくような感じなんですよ。なので炎症をするような日焼けがなくなったとしても、1回炎症が起こってしまうと、それがずーっとじわじわじわじわくすぶっているような感じになるということですね。この炎症の連鎖をまずは断ち切っていかなきゃいけないよということになります。 これどういうものかというと、紫外線で傷がついた表皮の細胞がですね、DAMPsっていうシグナルを出すんですね。DAMPsっていうものが真皮膜に行ってしまうと、真皮膜を壊してしまって、神経のコラーゲンとかエラスチンを切ってしまうということになるので、DAMPsっていうものを出さないようにするということがポイントになってきます。イザヨイバラエキスというものがDAMPsが出てしまっても周りの細胞に活かせない、ということは今までの日焼け止めでもやっていたんですが、テンリンカエキスというものがプラスになって、DAMPs自体を出さないようにするという効果が加わったんです。もう一つクララエキスというものが配合されて、真皮膜をですね、分解する酵素があるんですが、それを抑える機能があります。なので真皮膜が分解されずにきちっとあることによって、その下にある神経のコラーゲンとかエラスチンがしっかりと保たれるよということになるんですね。 なので今回DAMPsを抑えること、真皮膜の分解酵素を抑えるって、この2つのエキスが入ったことによって、より日焼けをしても肌の炎症がですね、表皮にも神経にも真皮膜にもいかないように肌全体を守ってくれるっていうものがカバーマークになっています。なのでトリートメントクリームって書いてあるのは本当にその通りで、炎症が起こってもそれをリカバーするような成分がたくさん入っているところですね。もちろん日焼け止めの効果も高いので、ちゃんとUVAもUVBも防御してるんだけれども、それでもすり抜けてきてしまうものに対しては、秘伝のタレで防御していくよっていうものになっていますので、去年のものよりもさらにエキスが加わることによって美容液効果が高まったっていう感じになりますね。 次はこちら、NオーガニックデイケアモイストUVクリームです。こちらもSPF50+PA++++、30グラム入りで、税込3,300円になっています。こちらはですね、エタノールや合成香料、パラベン、鉱物油、石油系界面活性剤は不使用、というまあ少しね、肌に負担が少ないよというものになっています。肌に乗せてみますね。ベージュっぽい色がついています。伸ばしていくとトーンアップするんですけれども、肌が綺麗にナチュラルに見える感じですかね。こっちが塗ってないところ、こっちが塗ってるところ。毛穴とかを隠してくれるフィルター効果みたいなものが高いですね。 すっごいみずみずしい美容液っていうイメージで、石鹸で落ちるというような処方になっています。このみずみずしさはセラミドをカプセルの中に入れてるんですが、セラミドだけじゃなくて、ヒトステロールだったり、オレイン酸ポリグリセリル2だったり、保湿成分をしっかりと一緒に入れてカプセル状にしているので、肌に乗せた時に、そのカプセルが弾けて出てくるんですよね。それだけじゃないんですよ。実は次世代の植物型レチノールと言われている、バクチオールが入っています。 バクチオール聞いたことあると思うんですが、レチノールっていうとビタミンAの誘導体で、肌に入ることによってヒアルロン酸の産生とかを促して、水々しいお肌にしてくれますよね。でもやっぱりレチノール自体が、やっぱり肌に合わないとか、ちょっと赤みが出るという方もいらっしゃる。私自体は朝使ってもしっかり日焼け止め塗ってるは問題ないと思うんですが、やっぱりちょっと怖いよっていう方は、なかなか朝使いづらいという方もいらっしゃると思うんですが、バクチオールというのは天然のレチノールとも言われて、レチノールと同じように、表皮のヒアルロン酸をしっかりと増やしてくれるということがわかっているので、朝しっかりと日焼け止めと一緒に塗ることによって、さっきのね、水々しい保湿成分もそうですけれども、バクチオール自体が肌の水分量を上げてくれる効果も期待できるので、すごい嬉しいなというふうに思います。高い日焼け止め効果とバクチオールと保湿成分一体化してなんかすごく使いやすい。あとお値段もね、今までのものに比べてちょっと買いやすいかなというふうに思います。 続いてはこちら、エリクシールデイケアレボリューション トーンアップです。こちらはSPF50プラス PA++++ですね。こちらもしっかりと高いUVカット率があります。35グラムで税込み3410円になっています。トーンアップって書いてあるので結構ピンクだなぁっていう感じはしません。あとは言ってもなんか白浮きするっていう感じではないですね。ほのかにトーンアップして血色をよく見せてくれるっていうぐらいのお色になっています。 こちらもエリクシール自体がスキンケアラインがありますよね。コラーゲンの酸性だったり分解を抑制するようなもの。なのでハリツヤ玉みたいなものを仕上げる秘伝のタレがこちらには入っています。それが何かっていうと、ワンデイアクアマスクZっていう風なものですね。乾燥を予防してくれるような成分です。 もう一つ、コラーゲンってタンパク質じゃないですか。それが紫外線とかが当たると黄色くカルボニル化になってしまうんですね。それを抑えるのがクリアコラEXという独自の成分になっています。でもう一つはコラーゲンのハリを出すようなイノシトールだったりとか、クレソンだったりとか、そういったものの複合成分が入っていることによって、エリクシールのツヤ玉を作るような化粧水とか乳液を使っているようなものを日焼け止めの中にも入っているので、スキンケアを後押ししながら日焼けを予防してくれるよっていうようなものですね。 なので日焼け止めっていうのは日中乳液っていう風に書いてあるんですよ。スキンケアした後にこれの乳液で締めるよっていうイメージでもいいかなと思います。ちょっとピンクが入っているので、私はこの目の周りとかTゾーンとかでちょっとトーンアップのためにも使ってもすごく使いやすい日焼け止め乳液になっています。 続いてはこちら、ドクター365UVデアエッセンスCです。ドクター365といえばビタミンCをしっかりと入れてくれるというようなブランドなんですよね。なのでこれもビタミンCが配合になっています。こちらはSPF50プラス PA++++でブルーライトも近赤外線もカットな上にウォータープルーフになっています。30g税込み3630円になっています。 ちょっとねなんかピンクなような気がするんですけど、全然色はついている感じじゃなくて、今までの中で一番みずみずしいですね。ビタミンCをメインにしているブランドなので、生肌の人に向けているのかな、本当にお水みたいな感じです。サラサラですね、軽いしさらっと仕上がっているようなテクスチャーになっています。 こちらに入っているのがアミトオシスMGAっていう水溶性のビタミンCになっています。水溶性でもあるし脂溶性でもあるので、肌の中に入ってじわじわと効いていくようなものになっています。その他にもグルタチオンだったりとかアルブチンですね。あとはショウガのエキスだったりてんこ盛りなんですよね。アルブチンもそれだけで透明感を出すし、グルタチオンは酸化したビタミンCを還元してくれるので入れておいていただきたいものですよね。 もう一つ、さっきから言っているこのアミトオシスMGAっていうのが毛穴に結構特化していますし、アクネ菌の増殖を抑えるっていう感じなので、毛穴とか皮脂っていうものが気になっている方にはめちゃくちゃいい日焼け止めなんじゃないかなというふうに思います。 ビタミンCってやっぱり紫外線が当たるとすぐ酸化しちゃうんですよ。それをですね、グルタチオンで助けたりとか、金が配合されているんですよ。ゴールド自体が皮脂の吸着もしてくれるし、酸化したビタミンCを還元してくるグルタチオンと同じようにしてくれるので、めちゃめちゃいいんじゃないかなというふうに思います。 続いてはこちら、アリークロノビューティーラスティングプライマーUVです。もちろん1本で朝日焼け止めとして塗ることもできるんですが、日焼け止めを塗り直すっていうのにはめちゃくちゃ最適なUVになっています。SPF50 PA++++になっています。色味としてはラベンダーっぽい色なんですけど、トーンアップしているのわかりますかね。スッとするんですけれども、決してベタベタはしないようなトーンアップ効果は高い日焼け止めになっています。 あとドクター365はみずみずしくてサラッとなんですけど、これはしっとりサラッとなんですよ。時間が経てば経つほどなんかペタペタ感が全くなくなる。血管の浮きもわからなくなるぐらいトーンアップしてますよね。皮脂が気になる人にはいいかなというふうに思います。 これは皮脂を吸着するようなパウダーをですね、カプセルの中にしっかり入れてるんですね。なので肌に塗った時にそのカプセルが弾けて皮脂を吸着してくれるということにもなっています。 あともう一つ、日焼け止めの塗り直しにいいよっていう話をしたと思うんですが、今まで日焼け止めで塗り直せなかった一番の理由ってメイクしてるからじゃないですか。メイクって油ですよね。日焼け止めのベースが油分が多いので、その油分の上に油分を乗せちゃうと崩れちゃうんですよ。だからできなかったんですが、これは油分じゃなくて水分が一番最初に行くような処方になっています。 アニーもカネボウなんですけど、カネボウって顔グループでカプセル化の技術が進んでいて、日焼け止めの油をですね、水の膜で覆ってるんですよ。なので一番最初に塗ったらお水が行くのでメイクが崩れない。でもその後にさっき言った皮脂吸着パウダーだったりとかが上に乗るので皮脂も吸着してヨレないっていうような段階を踏んでいます。ヨレないどころかパールが肌の上につくのでツヤ感とかトーンアップ感もできるし、皮脂でヨレたあのメイクも直せるっていうポーチの中に1個入れておけばお化粧直しにも最適な素晴らしい日焼け止めだなというふうに思います。 ここからはですね、敏感肌の人に向けたブランドさんのものになっています。まずはこちら、ディセンシアフローレスUVプロテクターです。こちらは敏感肌用日焼け止め美容液と書いてありまして、SPF50プラス PA++++になっています。40グラム入り5500円になっています。 白いかなと思うんですけれども、伸ばしていくとそんな感じはないですね。ちょっと白っぽくはなるんですけれども、これもちょっとみずみずしい感じのものになります。なんか敏感肌用っていうふうに書いてあるね、もっとベタっとした感じかなぁと思ったら、そんな感じはなく逆にすごいサラサラしています。 敏感肌の人ってちょっとねベタベタするものがつくと痒みが起こったりとかっていうこともあるので、テクスチャーがサラッとしているものが多いんですよね。だけど保湿力が高いっていうすごく不思議なテクスチャーを作ってくれるのがディセンシアかなというふうに思います。 てっきりノンケミカル紫外線吸収剤を入れてないのかなと思ったら、こちらは紫外線吸収剤をしっかり使っているものになります。紫外線吸収剤を使うと肌に悪いみたいに思っている方もいらっしゃるんですが、敏感肌の人でもやっぱり紫外線が当たった時に炎症が起こってしまうのが一番肌には悪いので、使っている紫外線吸収剤がですね、どちらかというと肌により優しめな紫外線吸収剤を組み合わせて使っている。もちろん全部が全部ではないんですが、それを組み合わせているなというイメージがあるので、プラスアルファ、さっき言ったみたいにベタベタしてしまうと痒みが起こってしまうという方には、すごくいい日焼け止めなんじゃないかなというふうに思います。 続いてはこちら、エトボスミネラルUVアクアプロテクターになります。こちらはSPF50プラス PA++++になっていて、こちらノンケミカルタイプで紫外線吸収剤は使っていないタイプになります。酸化チタンと酸化鉄両方うまく組み合わせて高いSPFを出しているんじゃないかなと思います。 こちらはやっぱり敏感肌用なので、肌の保湿に着目をしているんですね。肌が乾燥して表面の角層に穴が開いているようになってしまうと、紫外線ももちろん入ってきやすくなるし刺激も入ってきやすくなる。なので敏感肌の人ってそういう状態になるので、角層のところに天然のクリームを塗ってあげたいというところに着目しているらしく、この日焼け止めには保湿成分のわかめエキスが入っています。このわかめエキスっていうのが肌の上の天然のクリームを保護してくれる役割をしているので、1日中潤いが続く日焼け止めになっています。 出してみると結構白いなぁとは思うんですけれども、白浮きする感じじゃないんですよね。トーンアップぐらいですよね。ベタベタしないかって言われたら、結構しっとりはしています。乾燥肌で日焼け止め塗ってても、なんとなくファンデーションのり悪いっていう人には、すごくおすすめかなというふうに思います。 続いてはこちら、FTCナチュラルUVクリームXです。こちらもですね、SPF50プラス PA++++になっています。こちらはですね、ノンケミカルなので紫外線吸収剤は使っていなくて、紫外線散乱剤のみですね。紫外線散乱剤は酸化鉄と酸化チタン両方しっかり使っているものになります。すごいなと思うところ、アルコール、パラベン、タール系の色素だったりとか、あとマイクロプラスチックを使用していないので、最近でマイクロプラスチックで海洋汚染というのもあるので、環境にも配慮しているものかなというふうに思います。 パッと出した時には、ちょっと白いかなぁと思うんですけれども、伸ばしていくとそこまで白さは気にならなくなってきます。ノンケミカルでもここまで白さを気にしなくできるというのはすごいですよね。すごいね、水々しい日焼け止めクリームになっています。 こちらはね、ノンケミカルのいろんな植物成分が入っているんですよ。例えば、あのメラニンをなんか分散させるような桃の根のエキスだったりとか、チロシナーゼの働きを抑えるようなシソの葉エキスだったりとか、高い抗酸化作用があるようなドラゴンフルーツのエキス、ゆずエキスなどそういった美容成分もしっかり入っているんですね。こんな感じで紫外線のダメージから守るような植物エキスがしっかり入っている日焼け止めになっています。 一応ノンケミカルでアルコールフリーなので敏感肌にも対応ですけども、もしかしたら一部でそういう植物エキスに反応することはあるかもしれないですけども、でも全体的には、すごくお肌に優しい処方になっていて、石鹸でも落ちる処方なので、美容成分も入れたいけれどもノンケミカル使いたいという人には、すごくいい日焼け止めなんじゃないかなというふうに思います。 Out of the 10 products, 3 will be for sensitive skin. It's not that using these will guarantee safety, but I do want to introduce some that are formulated for sensitive skin. So, let's start with the first one. This is the product that so many of you have requested a deeper dive on: Cosme Decorté Aqua Milliorite UV Protection Brightening & Wrinkle. It's labeled as a sunscreen beauty essence. This one has SPF50+ PA++++ with the highest protection level, 55g, and it's priced at 11,000 yen including tax—over 10,000 yen! But this has really become a hot topic since the announcement of its release. Brightening & Wrinkle means it has ingredients that address both whitening and wrinkles. These are tranexamic acid and niacinamide. Transexamic acid is known for its anti-inflammatory properties and blocks the signal for UV to cause pigmentation, while niacinamide prevents melanin transfer to epidermal cells and promotes hyaluronic acid production, making it a well-known ingredient for wrinkle improvement. So these are included in concentrations recognized as quasi-drugs. That alone makes it very talked-about. This contains both UV absorbers and physical blockers, and by combining them well, it provides high UV protection. UV absorbers vary—some block long-wave UV well, others block short-wave UV well, but this has both balanced in nicely. Especially UVA reaches deep into the skin, and long-wave UVA is said to be mainly responsible for photoaging, so this has UV absorbers that can block these effectively too. The application feel is amazing. It has a pinkish tone and feels like a beauty cream rather than sunscreen—it's so nice. While I wouldn't say it has major tone-up effect, the skin becomes incredibly soft, with that soft, creamy feeling but no stickiness. You can tell it's sunscreen by this formula, but if this came in a jar, you'd never guess it's sunscreen—the texture is really lovely. Besides niacinamide and tranexamic acid, this also contains the same beauty ingredients found in the Aqua Milliorite line's toners, essences, and creams. These include olive leaf extract, which suppresses inflammatory cytokine markers that appear during UV-induced inflammation. Another ingredient is Sophora japonica flower extract, which suppresses tyrosinase activation that occurs when UV hits melanocytes and melanin is produced. There's also Western linden flower extract, which suppresses the enzymes that degrade collagen and elastin. Of course, the active ingredients are tranexamic acid and niacinamide, but these secret ingredients like olive extract, Sophora extract, and Western linden flower extract work together for brightening and wrinkle care. Plus, Cosme Decorté is known for liposomes—the smallest capsules ever, containing both beauty ingredients and UV absorbers, creating a creamy texture upon application. With these two active ingredients and the secret ingredients included, it truly deserves to be called a sunscreen beauty essence. The price is a bit steep, but it's truly a representative beauty essence sunscreen that feels wonderful on the skin. Next is Menard Fair Lucent Medicated Brightening Day Cream, releasing on April 21st. This is also an SPF50+ PA++++ sunscreen cream, 40g, priced at 7,700 yen including tax. While the price is considerable, let me show you how it works. It's a whitish cream, but as it blends in, it becomes acceptable. While you might think it looks white at first, comparing it side by side, it's not too bad. There's no stickiness, though it feels a bit more moisturizing than Cosme Decorté. While similar to Cosme Decorté, this one feels a bit more refreshing. Menard released a wrinkle-improvement active ingredient in 2023. Menard has been researching liver cells and brightening extensively, and the Fair Lucent line has toners, essences, and creams besides the day cream. The active ingredient is L-ascorbic acid 2-glucoside (APM), a stable form of vitamin C, and it's well-incorporated. What's wonderful about Menard this time is their approach to sun protection. We tell people to apply sunscreen to avoid sun damage, but when sunscreen isn't available, skin cells have an inherent system to protect against UV damage. This is the skin's natural protective function. This involves urocanic acid, a natural sunscreen in the stratum corneum. When it's present in sufficient amounts in the stratum corneum, UV exposure causes less cellular damage. However, urocanic acid diminishes with UV exposure and decreases with age. So Menard not only combines UV absorbers and physical blockers for high UV protection, but also found Rosa rugosa leaf extract, which increases urocanic acid levels, to strengthen the skin's natural UV resistance. By applying this day cream properly with sunscreen, you're not just protecting but also building naturally sun-resistant skin. This should be a very reliable sunscreen. Next is Covermark Treatment Day Cream. Many of you probably saw this last year. Covermark released a similar treatment day cream in 2023 with nearly the same packaging. It's a cream with high sun protection efficacy, and after a year, it's been further upgraded. The application feel is completely unchanged from last year. It's this kind of cream—see how it feels? The moment you apply it, it's so hydrating. It feels really nice. Why was Covermark's sunscreen so popular? Because Covermark has long researched how skin inflammation promotes aging and focuses on bone marrow-derived stem cells. When UV hits our skin, it causes inflammation that damages skin cells. However, inflamed areas send various signals that cascade. Even if the sunburn-causing inflammation stops, once inflammation starts, it can slowly smolder continuously. We must stop this inflammatory cascade first. When UV damages epidermal cells, they release DAMPs (danger-associated molecular patterns). When DAMPs reach the dermal membrane, they destroy it and degrade collagen and elastin in the dermis. So preventing DAMP release is key. Isatis root extract suppresses DAMPs, which was done in previous sunscreens, but adding Lithospermum erythrorhizon root extract additionally prevents DAMP release itself. Smilax sieboldii rhizome extract is also added, which suppresses the enzymes that degrade the dermal membrane. So the dermal membrane remains intact, preserving collagen and elastin beneath it. With these two extracts now included, even if sun damage occurs, inflammation doesn't spread to the epidermis, dermis, or dermal membrane—it protects the entire skin. The name "treatment" is really accurate because it contains many ingredients that recover from inflammation. Of course, it also has high sun protection, blocking both UVA and UVB, but for any UV that gets through, the secret ingredients provide additional defense. The addition of these extracts has enhanced the beauty essence effect compared to last year. Next is N Organic Day Care Moist UV Cream. This is also SPF50+ PA++++, 30g, priced at 3,300 yen including tax. This formulation is free of ethanol, synthetic fragrance, parabens, mineral oil, and petroleum-derived surfactants—slightly gentler on sensitive skin. When applied to skin, it has a beige tint. As you spread it, it provides subtle tone-up, making skin look clean and natural. Notice the difference between the uncoated and coated areas—it has a nice filter effect that hides pores. It feels like a hydrating beauty essence and has a soap-washable formulation. This hydration comes from ceramides in capsules, but not just ceramides—phytosterols and polyglyceryl-2 oleate, along with other moisturizers, are encapsulated together. When applied, the capsules burst and release their contents. But there's more: it contains bakuchiol, called the next-generation plant retinol. Retinol is a vitamin A derivative that promotes hyaluronic acid production for plump, hydrated skin. But retinol doesn't suit everyone—some experience redness. While I use it mornings with sunscreen without issues, some people hesitate to use it mornings. Bakuchiol, called natural retinol, similarly increases epidermal hyaluronic acid, so applying it mornings with sunscreen provides both hydration and skin-plumping benefits. High sun protection combined with bakuchiol and moisturizers makes it very practical. The price is also more affordable than previous options. Next is Elixir Day Care Revolution... This is a tone-up sunscreen with SPF50+ and PA++++. It has a high UV protection rate. At 35 grams, it costs 3,410 yen including tax. Even though it says "tone-up," it doesn't look overly pink. It doesn't cause white cast either. It provides a subtle tone-up effect that enhances your complexion. This is also from Elixir, which has a skincare line. It controls collagen oxidation and degradation. The secret formula that creates a radiant glow is included here. This formula contains something called "One Day Aqua Mask Z," which prevents dryness. Also, collagen is a protein. When exposed to UV rays, it becomes yellowed and carbonylated. What prevents this is a proprietary ingredient called "Clear Cola EX." Additionally, it contains complex ingredients like inositol and cress that enhance collagen's firming properties. Because Elixir includes these radiance-boosting ingredients from their skincare line, this sunscreen supports skincare while preventing sun damage. That's why this sunscreen is labeled as a "daytime emulsion." You can think of it as completing your skincare routine with this emulsion. Since it has a slight pink tone, I find it very easy to use even for areas like around the eyes and the T-zone to provide a tone-up effect. Next is Doctor 365 UV Dear Essence C. Doctor 365 is known for incorporating plenty of vitamin C. So this product also contains vitamin C. It has SPF50+ and PA++++ and also blocks blue light and near-infrared rays, plus it's waterproof. At 30g, it costs 3,630 yen including tax. I thought it might look a bit pink, but it doesn't appear that way at all. It's actually the most watery texture among all of them. Since this is a vitamin C-focused brand, perhaps it's aimed at people with clear skin. It really feels like water. It's silky smooth and has a light, matte finish. This contains Amitose MGA, which is a water-soluble vitamin C. Since it's both water-soluble and fat-soluble, it penetrates the skin gradually and works over time. It also contains glutathione and arbutin. There's also ginger extract and more. Arbutin itself enhances clarity, and glutathione reduces oxidized vitamin C, so it's something you'd want included. Another thing about Amitose MGA that I mentioned earlier is that it's quite specialized for pores and suppresses acne bacteria proliferation. So for those concerned with pores and excess sebum, I think this is an excellent sunscreen. Vitamin C oxidizes quickly when exposed to UV rays. Glutathione helps with this, and gold is also included. Gold absorbs sebum and also reduces oxidized vitamin C, just like glutathione does, so I think it's really great. Next is Allie Chrono Beauty Lasting Primer UV. Of course, you can apply it as a sunscreen in the morning, but it's especially perfect for reapplying sunscreen. It has SPF50 and PA++++. The color is somewhat lavender-toned, and you can see the tone-up effect. It feels smooth without being sticky, making it a high tone-up sunscreen. Unlike Doctor 365, which is watery and matte, this one is dewy-matte. The longer you wear it, the less sticky it feels. The tone-up is so effective that blood vessel visibility disappears. I think it's great for those concerned with excess sebum. This contains sebum-absorbing powder in capsules. So when you apply it to your skin, the capsules burst and absorb sebum. I mentioned earlier why this is good for sunscreen reapplication. The main reason sunscreen couldn't be reapplied before is that you're wearing makeup. Makeup is oil-based. Since sunscreen bases have high oil content, adding oil on top of oil causes breakdown. But this formula has water as the primary component. Allie is also from Kanebo, and Kanebo's division has advanced capsule technology. The oil in the sunscreen is covered with a water film. So when you apply it first, water reaches your skin, preventing makeup breakdown. But then the sebum-absorbing powder mentioned earlier sits on top, absorbing sebum and preventing creasing. Not only does it prevent creasing, but pearls on the skin create shine and tone-up effects, and you can even fix makeup that's creased from sebum. It's a wonderful sunscreen perfect for touch-ups if you keep one in your purse. From here, we have products from brands aimed at sensitive skin. First, this is Decencia Floress UV Protector. It's labeled as a sensitive skin sunscreen beauty serum with SPF50+ and PA++++. It's 40 grams for 5,500 yen. I thought it might look white, but when you spread it, it doesn't appear that way. It does get slightly white, but it's a watery texture. I expected something thicker for sensitive skin, but it's actually very silky smooth. People with sensitive skin experience itching when sticky products are applied, so sensitive skin sunscreens tend to have matte textures. But Decencia creates an unusually moisturizing texture with a matte feel. I thought it might be non-chemical without UV absorbers, but this actually uses UV absorbers. Some think UV absorbers are bad for skin, but UV inflammation is actually the worst for sensitive skin. The UV absorbers used here combine gentler options. While not all, this combination approach means it's excellent for those whose itching worsens with sticky products. Next is Etovos Mineral UV Aqua Protector. It has SPF50+ and PA++++ and is non-chemical, using physical UV filters only. It effectively combines titanium dioxide and iron oxide to achieve high SPF. Being sensitive skin-focused, it emphasizes skin hydration. When skin dries and the stratum corneum develops gaps, UV rays penetrate more easily, and irritants enter more readily. Sensitive skin is in this condition, so they focus on applying a natural cream layer to the stratum corneum. This sunscreen contains wakame extract as a moisturizing ingredient. This wakame extract protects the skin's natural cream, providing all-day hydration. It comes out fairly white, but it doesn't cause white cast. Just a slight tone-up. It is somewhat moisturizing. For dry skin with poor foundation application despite sunscreen, I'd highly recommend this. Next is FTC Natural UV Cream X. It also has SPF50+ and PA++++. It's non-chemical, using only physical UV filters. It uses both iron oxide and titanium dioxide. Notably, it contains no alcohol, parabens, tar-based dyes, or microplastics. With recent ocean pollution from microplastics, this shows environmental consideration. It's somewhat white when first applied, but the whiteness becomes less noticeable when spread. Non-chemical sunscreens achieving this level of whiteness reduction is impressive. It's a very watery cream sunscreen. It contains various botanical ingredients being non-chemical. These include peach root extract that disperses melanin, shiso leaf extract that suppresses tyrosinase activity, and antioxidant-rich dragon fruit and yuzu extracts. It's packed with these beauty ingredients. This sunscreen contains botanical extracts that protect against UV damage. While it's non-chemical and alcohol-free for sensitive skin compatibility, some people might react to certain botanical extracts. Overall, it's a very gentle formulation that's soap-washable. It's excellent for those wanting beauty ingredients in a non-chemical, soap-washable sunscreen. So I think I've covered all the major 2024 sunscreens. I plan to introduce some drugstore options separately. I've discussed sunscreens with high beauty serum ingredients overall.
