Hello everyone, this is Arata Tomori. Today I'd like to introduce you to 2 latest wrinkle-improving serums, so please watch until the end. In the past, wrinkle improvement has come from ingredients like retinol, niacinamide, and Neoretin, but the 2 products I'm introducing today both have niacinamide as their active ingredient. However, even though they both contain niacinamide, they add unique secret ingredients backed by research that significantly enhance the effects of niacinamide. These are truly 2 items using the latest technology. First, here's Orbis Wrinkle Bright Serum. This serum was originally released in 2019 and was quite a topic back then because you could buy it for under 5,000 yen and achieve both wrinkle improvement and whitening. The idea was to make wrinkle improvement accessible to more people at an affordable price, and it became a huge hit in 2019. Now it's been evolved into a new version. So what's the improvement? Since Orbis is part of the Pola Orbis Group, Pola has Neoretin, which is very famous. Neoretin works by suppressing a substance called neutrophil elastase that increases when facial expressions cause repeated stress to the same area, which the skin recognizes as damage. Orbis, being part of the same Pola Orbis Group, also noticed that wrinkles tend to form where expressions are made chronically. When researching this with a different approach than Pola, they found that in areas where facial pressure is constantly applied, cell stimulation causes the cell membrane to undergo degeneration. While we already knew that cell membranes naturally change with age and sun exposure, they discovered that this change occurs because a substance called laminin A increases in the body, causing corneal abnormalities. Orbis found that when the face is chronically stressed through expressions, this laminin A abnormally increases due to UV exposure and overstimulation, causing corneal degeneration similar to other processes. When cells undergo corneal degeneration, they release signals that increase MMP, an enzyme that breaks down collagen. So when cells with corneal degeneration release MMP signals, collagen gets progressively broken down, deepening and establishing wrinkles. So areas where the face is constantly moving—where abnormal laminin A increases and causes corneal degeneration—the affected cells produce signals that break down collagen, making the skin prone to wrinkles and wrinkle formation. What can we do about this? While procedures like Botox are important for preventing movement, the research focused on preventing wrinkle establishment through skincare. They investigated what could suppress the increased collagen breakdown signaling caused by the abnormal laminin A and corneal-damaged cells. They discovered a complex of hydrolyzed rice bran extract and chamomile extract. This complex prevents the increase of MMP, the collagen-degrading enzyme, suppressing wrinkle formation and establishment. Combined with the original niacinamide that provides wrinkle improvement and brightening benefits, niacinamide plus this secret ingredient creates a serum that further improves wrinkles and prevents their establishment. There's also a special 4D Motion formula that reduces skin stress by creating a light film. When facial expressions are made, it doesn't eliminate all stimulation but reduces it through this film-like formula. The texture is like this—it adheres well when applied. When you spread it, it absorbs smoothly despite the appearance. There's no stickiness, and despite looking thick at first, it becomes surprisingly hydrating when spread. Next is Etvos Medicated Wrinkle Serum. Etvos also uses niacinamide as its active ingredient. Etvos is originally a sensitive-skin brand that creates formulas focused on moisturizing and sensitive skin care. Since niacinamide itself suppresses skin inflammation, choosing it for wrinkle improvement makes sense. However, Etvos investigated what additional ingredients could enhance niacinamide and create a synergistic effect. Their research led them to bamboo shoot skin extract. Bamboo shoot skin extract promotes hyaluronic acid production. It's even included in Albion's product. Think of it as plumping the skin from within. That's the kind of effect you can expect from bamboo shoot skin extract. While this extract naturally promotes hyaluronic acid production, Etvos discovered that when combined with niacinamide, the hyaluronic acid-producing effect of the bamboo shoot extract has a synergistic effect. They've filed a patent for this discovery. So niacinamide combined with bamboo shoot skin extract creates a synergistic effect. While niacinamide itself improves wrinkles, the hyaluronic acid production from the bamboo extract combines to plump the skin from within and improve wrinkles. The texture is also a firm cream type. It looks similar to Orbis, but Etvos feels slightly more creamy. However, when spread, it also feels quite hydrating. Both textures are quite similar. Both Orbis Wrinkle Bright Serum and Etvos Medicated Wrinkle Serum are based on niacinamide, but both add their unique secret ingredients to further enhance niacinamide's effects.
