みなさんこんにちは、友利新です。今日はですね、もうハリの新知見を搭載したユーセリンを深掘りしていきたいと思います。知ったのは夏に開催された香粧品学会だったんですね。コラーゲンの産生の研究だったんですけど、どの化粧品に入るんだろうと思ったら、あの時の研究かと思ってすっごい皆さんにお話ししたかったんですが、発売が11月の末ってなって、やっと発売になったんですね。 まずこのユーセリンって聞いてピンときた方は、グローバルな活躍をされている方かなと思って。ドイツで発売になったもので、皮膚科学をベースにしたダーマコスメが世界で初めて発売になったのがこのユーセリンっていうブランドなんですよ。日本以外では売られているものだったんですね。今回は花王さんがユーセリンを日本では売ることになったんですが、ユーセリンって名前なんだけれども、中身は今までのユーセリンが研究していたものと花王独自のものを組み合わせて、ハリアップのシリーズが出来上がった感じなんですね。 ユーセリンっていろんなアイテムがあるんですけれども、一つ面白いのがハリの研究なんですよ。ハリって言ったらコラーゲンの産生とかで、一番有名なものっていうのはレチノールだと思うんですね。私もレチノール大好きで、ターンオーバーを活性化させて、表皮のヒアルロン酸アップしたりとか、真皮の線維芽細胞に働きかけてコラーゲンの産生を促す、ハリアップみたいな感じなんですが、A反応っていって赤みが出たりとか、痒みが起こったりとかっていうところがあって、使えない人も中にはいらっしゃるし、朝使っちゃうと紫外線でね、変性してしまうっていうところがあるので、使いづらいとか怖くて使えないっていう人に、同じような働きをするもので植物から生まれたのがバクチオールっていうものなんですね。 レチノールと同じように表皮のターンオーバーを活性化させたりとか、真皮の線維芽細胞に働きかけて1型だったり7型のコラーゲンを増やすって言われてるんですね。1型のコラーゲンっていうのは皮膚の中で一番大きいので、コラーゲンのボリュームがアップするし、7型コラーゲンというのは真皮と基底膜を接合するときに吊り上げコラーゲンとも呼ばれているぐらい大切なものになるんですが、その7型と1型を増やしていくっていうのがもともとわかっているんですね。あと抗炎症作用だったりとか抗酸化作用も高いんですよ。 レチノールにはA反応というものが出てしまうんですが、バクチオールはレチノールじゃないので赤みは起こらないし、紫外線によってなんか変性するっていうものもないので、使い勝手がいいということでレチノールを使えない人の代わりとしては、すごく良い成分だったんですよ。なので植物性のレチノールとかいっていろんなものに入っていたので、今回のメインになっているのもバクチオールになります。 バクチオールってもう今更と思うじゃないですか。なぜこれを紹介したかったかというのは、バクチオールっていうのが実は老化した細胞ではあんまり効いてないっていうところを見つけてるんですね、花王さんは。これ何でかっていうと、エネルギー産生が低下しているような細胞には、いくらバクチオールを入れたとしても、さっき言った1型のコラーゲンも7型のコラーゲンも、抗酸化さえもアップしていかないんですよね。じゃあどうしたらいいかというと、細胞のエネルギーを高めていってバクチオール入れると、通常のバクチオール入れるよりもさらにコラーゲンを作ってくれたりするっていうところを見つけているんですよ。それが今回入っているっていうのがこのユーセリンのすごいところなんですね。 何をかけ合わせたかっていうと、花王独自のモイストアクセル処方というようなもので、成分としてはアセチルヒドロキシプロリンだったり、クチナシエキスだったり、甘草の根のエキスだったりの複合体なんですよ。それとバクチオール入れることによって、細胞にはミトコンドリアっていうエネルギーを作るところがあるんですが、ミトコンドリアが活性化してATPをいっぱい作れるようになる。細胞が元気になったところにバクチオールがあると、いっぱいコラーゲンを作ると。老化した細胞でさえも1型のコラーゲン産生がアップしたっていうものが、今回の香粧品学会で発表されてたんですよ。すごいなと思って。 例えばディオールさんとかも、細胞の中の酸素の運搬体を増やすことによってミトコンドリアを活性化してATPを上げていこうねみたいなトレンドなんですけれども、細胞のエネルギー産生を上げて有効成分の働きが倍になったっていうのを初めて証明したのが今回の発表だと思うんですよね。自分の肌が疲れているかどうかわかんなかったとしても、効かせるためにまず細胞のエネルギーを上げる。そこに組み合わせがいい有効成分を入れて、ハリ感をアップさせていくって素晴らしいことなんじゃないかなと思います。 バクチオール、いまいち効いてるのか効いてないのかよくわかんないという人は、もしかしたら細胞が老化してしまっていてエネルギー産生が低いから、それが効きづらかったんじゃないかなと思います。ここから私の妄想なんですけれども、エネルギー産生を上げるっていうのは、老化した線維芽細胞にバクチオールとモイストアクセルを一緒に入れることによって、線維芽細胞が1型のコラーゲンをたくさん増やすようになったっていうのを論文で発表してるんですけど、表皮の細胞自体もやっぱりエネルギー産生は上がると思うんですよ。ターンオーバーが活性化したりとかすると、ヒアルロン酸もアップするだろうし、細胞のエネルギー産生が上がるってことは、紫外線が当たった時にメラニンを作りづらくもなったりするんですよね。 なのでやっぱり細胞のエネルギーをアップさせるってことは、コラーゲンを作るっていうところにもなりますけれども、表皮だったらシミを作らせなくするとか、ヒアルロン酸をアップさせてみずみずしくするとか、いろんなことができるんじゃないかなと思うので、もちろん花王さんとかユーセリンはそんなこと言ってないんですが、そういう可能性が秘められてるんじゃないかなっていうところも私自身は妄想しちゃったりもするかなというふうに思えます。 ラインナップなんですけど、拭き取りと化粧水と美容液とクリームになっています。ただ拭き取りにはバクチオール入ってないので、ぶっちゃけ私は別にこっちは使っても使わなくてもいいんじゃないかなと思うんですけれども、バクチオールとモイストアクセルが入っているのは化粧水、美容液、そしてクリームになっていくと思います。使い方は拭き取りで拭いた後に美容液を塗って、化粧水、クリームっていうふうになるんですね。効果を高めたいんじゃないかなと思っているので、多分一番高濃度のこちらだと私は勝手に思っております。 花王といえば成分だけじゃなくて処方もすごいじゃないですか。膜だったりとかカプセル化をすごくうまくって、確かSOFINAのアクアリッチだったと思うんですけど、みずみずしい使用感のものを作るのって花王さんでうまいんですね。今回もみずみずしい美容液にしてます。ただバクチオールっていうのは使用性なんですよ。油に溶けるから通常バクチオールってクリームが多いんですよね。でも大量に入れようと思うとやっぱり油っぽいものになるんですけど、どうしようかって考えた時に、寒天のカプセルにお水を入れることによって、油性のバクチオールを寒天の間に入れてるんですよね。肌っていうのは油性になっているので、油のものの方が吸収がいいんですけれども、これを乗せるじゃないですか、みずみずしいんですよ。だから塗り広げる時に一番真っさらなところにバクチオールがドンといって、寒天の中に入っていた保湿成分が入っていくって、天才。だから処方がまた気持ちがいいんですよね。 どうやってバクチオール入れるんだろうと思ったら面白いなと思ったのが、乳液みたいなものなんですよ。ベタベタするんじゃないと思ったら水になるんですよ。ジェランガムっていうバイオポリマーが入っていて、とろっとした感じになっているんですが、伸ばすとみずみずしく変わってくれる成分なんですね。処方の技術がうまくないと、この気持ちよさにはなっていかないと思うんですよね。バクチオールがしっかり入っているから膜も張ってくれるので、みずみずしいんだけど保湿もしてくれるっていうところになります。 クリームもベントナイトっていう粉体があるんですが、それが配合されているので、均一な膜を張るようなクリームになっていてリッチなんですよ。皮脂テカの人だったらこの2つだけでも十分なんですけど、乾燥肌の人はやっぱりクリームを塗った方がより乾燥肌対策にもなるのかなと思いますし、細胞自体を元気にしてコラーゲンの産生を促すバクチオールがこのほど入っているっていうところが、ユーセリンの素晴らしいところかなというふうに思います。なので今までレチノールね、すごい使いたいけどちょっと怖いよっていう人には朗報なんじゃないかなというふうに思います。 はい、ということでいかがだったでしょうか。私が興奮してね、早く皆さんにお伝えしたかったっていうのが分かってくださったんじゃないかなと思います。学会で聞いて、うわこれすごいなーって思ったものが、こういうふうに商品になってきて、成分だけじゃなくて処方と相まって、日本の化粧品の技術があったからこそなんだろうなと思います。ユーセリンというのはもう昔ながらのブランドなんですけど、それをやっぱり日本の花王さんがね、独自の処方でなっていくっていうのはすごく良いタッグの組み方なんじゃないかなと思うので、気になる方はぜひユーセリン調べてみていただければかなと思います。 熱くなってしまったかもしれないんですけど、久しぶりに新ブランドが出たのでご紹介してみました。今日も最後まで見ていただいてありがとうございました。このチャンネルこのように美容や健康について詳しく解説していますので、よかったらチャンネル登録お願いします。そして毎週火曜日にメンバーシップ限定でライブもしておりますので、よかったら月額90円にはなりますけれども、メンバーシップも入っていただけると嬉しいです。ということで次の動画でお会いしましょう。さよなら。

Hello everyone, this is Tomori Ara. Today I want to do a deep dive into Eucerin, which now features new insights into skin firmness. I first learned about this at the Cosmetic Science Society conference held this summer—it was research on collagen production. When I wondered which cosmetic product this would end up in, I realized it was that very research, and I really wanted to tell everyone about it right away. But the release was set for the end of November, so it's finally here. First, if the name Eucerin rings a bell for you, you might be someone active on a global scale. It was originally launched in Germany, and Eucerin is the brand that was the world's first dermocosmetic line based on dermatology. It had been sold outside of Japan. This time, Kao is bringing Eucerin to Japan, and while it keeps the Eucerin name, the contents combine what Eucerin has researched so far with Kao's own original technology, resulting in this "Hari Up" (firmness-boosting) series. Eucerin has various items, but one interesting area is their firmness research. When it comes to firmness, the most famous ingredient related to collagen production is retinol. I love retinol too—it activates turnover, boosts hyaluronic acid in the epidermis, and acts on dermal fibroblasts to promote collagen production, giving that firming effect. However, there's something called the "A reaction," where redness or itching can occur, so some people can't use it. Also, if you use it in the morning, UV light can cause it to degrade, making it tricky or scary for some people to use. For those people, a plant-derived ingredient with a similar effect is bakuchiol. Like retinol, it's said to activate epidermal turnover and act on dermal fibroblasts to increase both type 1 and type 7 collagen. Type 1 collagen is the most abundant in the skin, so it boosts collagen volume, while type 7 collagen is so important that it's sometimes called "anchoring collagen" because it connects the dermis and the basement membrane. It's been known that bakuchiol increases both type 7 and type 1 collagen. It also has strong anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. While retinol can cause the "A reaction," bakuchiol, not being retinol, doesn't cause redness, and it doesn't degrade from UV exposure, making it easy to use. So it's been a great ingredient as an alternative for people who can't use retinol. That's why it's been included in various products labeled as "plant-based retinol," and it's also the main ingredient featured this time. You might think bakuchiol is old news by now. But the reason I wanted to introduce this is that Kao discovered that bakuchiol actually doesn't work very well on aged cells. Why is that? In cells where energy production has declined, no matter how much bakuchiol you add, neither type 1 nor type 7 collagen—nor even antioxidant activity—increases. So what should be done? They found that if you boost the cell's energy first and then add bakuchiol, it produces even more collagen than adding bakuchiol alone. That discovery is what makes this new Eucerin so amazing. What did they combine it with? It's Kao's original "Moist Axcell" formulation, which is a complex of ingredients including acetyl hydroxyproline, gardenia extract, and licorice root extract. By adding this along with bakuchiol, the mitochondria—the energy-producing part of cells—become activated and produce more ATP. Once the cells become energized, adding bakuchiol leads to much greater collagen production. Even in aged cells, type 1 collagen production increased—this was presented at this year's Cosmetic Science Society conference. I thought it was amazing. For example, brands like Dior have followed a trend of increasing oxygen carriers within cells to activate mitochondria and boost ATP. But I believe this is the first time it's been proven that boosting cellular energy production doubles the effectiveness of active ingredients. Even if you don't know whether your skin is "tired," first boosting the cell's energy in order to make the active ingredients work better, and then adding well-matched active ingredients to boost firmness—I think that's a wonderful approach. If you feel like bakuchiol hasn't been working well for you, it might be because your cells have aged and energy production has declined, making it harder for the ingredient to work. From here, this is just my own speculation: the research showed that adding bakuchiol together with Moist Axcell to aged fibroblasts increased type 1 collagen production significantly, as published in a paper. But I think epidermal cells themselves would also see increased energy production. If turnover is activated, hyaluronic acid would likely increase too, and if cellular energy production goes up, it might become harder to produce melanin when exposed to UV light. So, boosting cellular energy could lead not only to collagen production but also to preventing dark spots in the epidermis, increasing hyaluronic acid for more moisture, and many other benefits. Of course, Kao and Eucerin haven't said any of this explicitly, but I do think there's potential for these possibilities—that's just my own speculation. As for the lineup, there's a wipe-off cleansing product, a lotion, a serum, and a cream. The wipe-off product doesn't contain bakuchiol, so honestly, I think it's fine whether you use it or not. But the lotion, serum, and cream all contain bakuchiol and Moist Axcell. The usage order is: wipe-off cleansing, then serum, then lotion, then cream. Since you'd want to maximize the effect, I personally think the serum is probably the most concentrated one. When it comes to Kao, it's not just about the ingredients but also the formulation technology, right? They're very skilled at things like membrane structures and encapsulation. I believe it was SOFINA's Aqua Rich that had that very light, watery texture—Kao is skilled at creating that kind of fresh, watery feel. This time too, they made a watery serum. However, bakuchiol has certain usability issues—it's oil-soluble, so it's usually found in creams. But if you try to add a large amount, the product tends to become oily. So what did they do? They put oil-soluble bakuchiol inside agar capsules filled with water. Skin is oil-loving, so oil-based ingredients tend to absorb better, but when you apply this product, it feels so watery. As you spread it, the bakuchiol lands right on the clean skin surface first, and then the moisturizing ingredients that were inside the agar capsules follow in—genius. That's why the formulation feels so pleasant. I was curious how they incorporated the bakuchiol, and what I found interesting was that it's like an emulsion. You'd think it would feel sticky, but it turns watery. It contains a biopolymer called gellan gum, giving it a slightly thick texture, but as you spread it, it transforms into a watery, refreshing feel. Without skilled formulation technology, you wouldn't achieve this pleasant texture. Because bakuchiol is properly included, it forms a film on the skin, so while it feels watery, it also provides moisture. The cream also contains a powder called bentonite, which helps create an even film, giving it a rich texture. If you have oily, shiny skin, the lotion and serum alone might be enough, but for dry skin, using the cream as well would likely help more with dryness. The fact that bakuchiol—which energizes the cells themselves and promotes collagen production—is included this time is what makes this Eucerin line so wonderful. So for those who've wanted to use retinol but have been a bit scared to, I think this is great news. So, what did you think?
