ランコム美容液5年ぶりのリニューアルがヤバかったので聞いてください！【皮膚科医が分かりやすく解説】

みなさんこんにちは！友利新です。今日は久しぶりのリニューアルということで、ランコムのジェニフィックが5年ぶりにリニューアルしたので、これを深掘りしていきたいと思います。 ジェニフィックといえば、ランコムを代表する美容液ですよね。2019年に発売された前回のものは、美肌菌ブームを作ったと言っても過言ではありません。それがランコムのジェニフィック アドバンストNです。当時、肌には常在菌がいて、それが肌のバリア機能などを整えてくれている、その中でも「美肌菌」というバリア機能を高めてくれる菌のバランスを整えるために、いろいろな成分を入れたのがジェニフィック アドバンストNという美容液でした。 そこから肌の常在菌にフォーカスがいくようになり、今では当たり前だよねということが皆さんもなんとなくわかったと思います。2019年の段階ではそこまで常在菌にフォーカスされていなかったものが、時代が変わったことを象徴する代表的なものになります。 そのほか、ジェニフィックのすごいところは、日本仕様と海外仕様が分かれている点です。日本人に合わせた処方になっていて、特にテクスチャーはスッと入っていく先行美容液として発売されています。海外では通常の美容液として、化粧水などをつけた後につけるものとして最初から明確に違いがあります。日本仕様と海外仕様が分かれているという点でもとても面白いのが、このジェニフィック アドバンストNでした。 今回、5年ぶりのリニューアルで何が変わったかというと、今まで通りの美肌菌を整えるという点はもちろん変わっていないのですが、今回のランコムのすごいところは「肌の回復力」に注目したことです。 例えば傷を負ったとき、私たちの肌は必ずそれを再生し直していきますよね。肌には回復力、いわゆる治癒力が備わっています。でも考えてみてください。子供たちが赤ちゃんの頃、爪で顔を引っかいたりしますよね。それが2、3日でもうすぐ治っているのに、同じように大人の私が引っかかれたりすると、1ヶ月以上跡が残ったりします。回復力には明らかに差があるんです。 では、この治癒力と美肌にはどういう関係があるのかということを研究していったのが、今回のジェニフィック アルティメセラムです。実はランコムはいろいろな年代の人の肌を研究しているのですが、傷を治す力が高い人は、年齢が上がっても美肌であるということを見つけ出しています。 それは当たり前と言えば当たり前ですよね。紫外線のダメージなどがあっても、それを治していく力が強ければ、そういうダメージからの回復も早いということはなんとなく皆さんもわかると思います。では、傷を治すメカニズムを研究していけば、美肌に何か通じるものがあるのではないかというふうに研究していったんですね。 少し前までは、傷があると消毒してばんそうこうを貼っておいてくださいという感じだったと思うのですが、ある日を境に、消毒をしないで水などでさっと洗って、傷パワーパッドのようなもので傷を治していきましょうという「湿潤療法」というものに変わったのをご存知ですか。 これは皮膚科の中でもすごく大きなターニングポイントで、今まで「傷は消毒して乾かして治していきましょう」だったものが、「傷は消毒せず、乾かさず、湿らせて治していきましょう」ということになったんですね。 なぜ湿らせるかというと、やっぱり肌には常在菌がいて、いろいろな良い成分を出してくれるからです。傷が治るときには、常在菌がいろいろな成分を出して傷の治りを後押ししてくれます。逆に消毒してしまうと常在菌がいなくなってしまい、傷の治りが遅くなってしまうので、湿潤療法で治していきましょうというのが今の傷の治し方になっています。 さっき常在菌がいろいろな物質を出すと言いましたが、この物質は細胞の中にあるいろいろなスイッチを押してくれるんですね。そこには炎症を抑えるスイッチだったり、逆に加速するスイッチだったりといろいろあるのですが、代表的なもので言うと「ワクチン1」というレセプターがあって、そこに良い成分がくっつくと傷の治りを後押ししてくれることがわかっています。 あとは「トール」というレセプターもあるのですが、それは逆に炎症を増やして、いらない部分を壊して治癒を促す、というようにいろいろなスイッチがあって、それぞれを押していくことによって傷が治っていくということがわかっているんですね。 では、このレセプターをより押していけば治癒力が上がっていくのではないか、というところを研究している先生たちもいて、それが「ベータグルカン」という成分になります。ベータグルカンを傷口に入れると、ワクチン1をアップさせて傷の治りが早くなるということがわかっていました。 では、このベータグルカンはもしかしたら美肌にも効くのではないかと考えて研究していくと、ベータグルカンがワクチン1にくっつくと、表皮ではケラチノサイトという表皮の細胞の増殖が促されることがわかり、真皮では線維芽細胞が増殖したり、血流が増加したりすることがわかったんですね。 これによって、皮膚は傷を治していく力を持っているということがわかったのですが、これって表皮の細胞が増えたり、線維芽細胞が増えたりするということは、コラーゲンやエラスチンが増えるし、血流が良くなるということは、それだけ線維芽細胞がさらに活性化して、コラーゲンやエラスチンを作るということになるわけです。ではこれを入れることが肌の再生を促すのではないかということがわかったんですね。 ベータグルカンって面白くて、それだけでも抗炎症作用や抗酸化作用があり、肌にはプラスだということもわかっていましたし、保湿もしてくれるということがわかっているので、ベータグルカンを入れることによって、今までの抗酸化力や抗炎症力プラスアルファ、創傷治癒力を上げていくことで、傷の修復と同じように美肌を作りましょうということにたどり着いたんです。 なので、今までと同じように美肌菌をご機嫌に保つビフィズス菌培養液なども入っているのですが、プラスアルファとしてベータグルカンが入ったということになります。 ただ、ベータグルカンはすごく繊細な成分で、どんなベータグルカンでもいいかというとそうではないんです。ベータグルカンは酵母を原料にして作られているのですが、何由来の酵母かというのもすごく大事ですし、あとは純度がすごく大切だと言われています。 さっき、ベータグルカンがワクチン1というレセプターのスイッチを押すことで創傷治癒が促されると言いましたが、これ、純度があまり良くないとワクチン1だけではなく別のスイッチを押してしまうこともあるらしいんですね。ワクチン1と似たものに「ワクチン2」というものがあるのですが、それをうっかり押してしまうと、今度は創傷治癒を遅らせるスイッチになってしまうので、純度が低いものだとマイナスの面も出てきてしまいます。なので純度の高いものを入れていくことがかなり大切らしいです。 今回、ジェニフィックはやはり純度の高いものをしっかり入れて、創傷治癒を促すワクチン1のスイッチだけをなるべく押すように入れているんだと思うのですが、それもすごく美肌にプラスになっていくのかなというふうに思います。 あと、もちろんなのですが、ジェニフィックはアドバンストNの時からずっと日本処方にこだわっているのですが、今回のアルティメセラムも日本処方と海外処方が大きく分かれています。日本処方はタクタクしているようなもので、スポイトで出すと結構緩い感じなんですね。トロッとしているんですけど、肌にのせると化粧水をつけたっていうぐらいスッと浸透していきます。以前のものよりももっと浸透感が高い感じがするんですね。伺ったら、これは日本人が好きな処方らしいです。 海外仕様のものも触らせてもらったんですけれども、ちょっとドロッとしています。日本では洗顔後、一番最初に塗ってその後に化粧水などをするんですけれども、海外の人はそういうことをしないらしくて、化粧水などを塗った後に塗るので、膜を貼るようなもうちょっとテクスチャーが重いものがお好みらしくて、日本人の好きな処方にこだわっているところもすごくいいんじゃないかなというふうに思います。 あとですね、もともとジェニフィック アドバンストNにも入っていた成分としては、アスコルビルグルコシドっていうビタミンCの誘導体も入っているんですね。肌の明るさというところもあるんじゃないかなというふうに思いますし、グリチルリチン酸ジカリウムも入っていて、これは抗炎症ですよね。あとはアデノシンも入っていて、これはコラーゲンを壊す酵素を抑えてくれる働きが期待される成分です。 美肌菌を整えて肌のバリア機能を整えていく、それが今までのジェニフィックだったんですけれども、そこにプラスして、今まで守りだったところにプラスアルファの攻めも入ってきたんじゃないかなと思うので、かなりパワーアップしたなというふうに思うのが今回のアルティメセラムかなと思います。 いろんなユーチューバーさんとか美容系の人が「名品と呼ばれるものをあげてください」というものの中でも必ず選ばれる美容液だったので、これも今後大ヒットしていくんじゃないかなと思うので、使っていた人はなおさら分かると思いますし、今まで1回使ってもちょっとよくわからなかったなという人も、使ってみてもいいんじゃないかなというふうに思います。 はい、ということでいかがだったでしょうか。今日はアルティメセラムをご紹介しました。9月からは新製品が続々と出てきます。すごくいい成分がたくさん出ているので紹介していきたいと思うので、よかったらチャンネル登録お願いします。 そして月額90円になりますが、メンバーシップを開始しています。メンバーシップではいち早く新製品のお知らせだったり、通常の動画ではなかなか言えないぶっちゃけた話だとか、そういったものをメンバー限定で毎週水曜日にYouTubeライブで配信しています。水曜日の配信にいつも参加できないという方も、メンバー限定のアーカイブが残っておりますので、メンバーシップに入っていただけると嬉しいです。 ということで、今日も最後まで見ていただいてありがとうございました。また次の動画でお会いしましょう。さようなら。

Hello everyone! This is Tomori Ara. Today, we're looking at a long-awaited renewal — Lancôme's Génifique has been renewed for the first time in 5 years, so I want to dive deep into this. Speaking of Génifique, it's Lancôme's signature serum, isn't it? It's no exaggeration to say that the previous version, released in 2019, created the "skin microbiome" boom. That was Lancôme's Génifique Advanced N. At the time, it was said that the skin has resident bacteria that help regulate things like the skin's barrier function, and among these, there are "beautiful skin bacteria" that enhance barrier function — Génifique Advanced N was a serum formulated with various ingredients to balance these bacteria. From there, focus shifted toward the skin's resident bacteria, and now I think everyone has come to understand this as something taken for granted. Back in 2019, this wasn't as much of a focus, so this product really represents how times have changed. Another amazing thing about Génifique is that it has separate formulations for Japan and overseas markets. The Japanese formulation is tailored to Japanese preferences, especially in texture — it's released as a "first essence" that absorbs quickly into the skin. Overseas, it's sold as a regular serum, meant to be applied after toner, so there's a clear difference in usage from the start. This division between Japanese and international formulations is one of the fascinating aspects of Génifique Advanced N. So what changed with this renewal after 5 years? The focus on balancing the skin's beautiful bacteria remains unchanged, but what's amazing about this new Lancôme product is its focus on the skin's "recovery power." For example, when we get injured, our skin always regenerates itself. Our skin has recovery power, or healing ability. But think about it — when babies scratch their faces with their nails, the scratch heals within 2-3 days. But if I get scratched by the same nail, the mark can remain for over a month. There's clearly a difference in healing power. So what's the relationship between this healing power and beautiful skin? That's what was researched for this new Génifique Ultimate Serum. Lancôme actually studies the skin of people across various age groups, and they discovered that people with high wound-healing ability tend to have beautiful skin even as they age. That makes sense when you think about it, right? Even with UV damage and other factors, if you have a strong ability to repair that damage, recovery from such damage would naturally be faster — this makes intuitive sense. So the thinking was: if we study the mechanism of wound healing, might we find something connected to beautiful skin? Until recently, the standard treatment for a wound was to disinfect it and cover it with a bandage, right? But at some point, this changed to a "moist wound healing" approach — where instead of disinfecting, you simply rinse the wound with water and use something like a hydrocolloid bandage to keep it moist while healing. Did you know about this? This was actually a major turning point in dermatology. The old approach was "disinfect and dry to heal," but the new approach became "don't disinfect, don't dry, keep it moist to heal." Why keep it moist? Because the skin's resident bacteria produce various beneficial substances. During wound healing, these resident bacteria release various compounds that support the healing process. If you disinfect the wound, you eliminate these bacteria, which actually slows healing. That's why moist wound healing is now used to promote proper healing. Earlier I mentioned that resident bacteria release various substances — these substances actually trigger various switches within cells. There are switches that suppress inflammation and others that accelerate it. A representative example is a receptor called "Dectin-1" — when beneficial compounds bind to it, this has been shown to support wound healing. There's also a receptor called "Toll" (TLR), which instead increases inflammation, breaking down unnecessary tissue to promote healing. Various switches like these work together, and by activating each of them, wounds heal. So researchers thought: if we could activate these receptors even more, could we enhance healing ability further? This led to research on an ingredient called "beta-glucan." When beta-glucan was applied to wounds, it was found to increase Dectin-1 activity and speed up wound healing. Then researchers wondered — might beta-glucan also be beneficial for beautiful skin? Further research showed that when beta-glucan binds to Dectin-1, it promotes the proliferation of keratinocytes (epidermal cells) in the epidermis, and in the dermis, it promotes fibroblast proliferation and increases blood flow. This confirmed that skin has this wound-healing capability. And since increased epidermal cells and fibroblasts mean increased collagen and elastin production, and improved blood flow further activates fibroblasts to produce even more collagen and elastin — researchers concluded that introducing this ingredient could promote skin regeneration in the same way it promotes wound healing. Interestingly, beta-glucan itself was already known to have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties beneficial to skin, as well as moisturizing effects. So by adding beta-glucan, in addition to existing antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits, wound-healing power could be enhanced — leading to the idea of creating beautiful skin the same way wounds are healed. So this new formula still contains ingredients like Bifidus ferment lysate to keep the skin's beneficial bacteria happy, as before, but now beta-glucan has been added as well. However, beta-glucan is a very delicate ingredient, and not just any beta-glucan will do. Beta-glucan is derived from yeast, and which yeast it's derived from matters a lot, as does its purity. As I mentioned, beta-glucan promotes wound healing by activating the Dectin-1 receptor switch, but if the purity isn't good enough, it can accidentally activate a different switch. There's a similar receptor to Dectin-1 called "Dectin-2" — if this gets activated by mistake, it actually becomes a switch that delays wound healing. So lower purity beta-glucan can have negative effects, which is why using high-purity beta-glucan is considered crucial. I believe this new Génifique formula uses high-purity beta-glucan that specifically activates Dectin-1 to promote wound healing, which I think contributes significantly to its skin benefits. Also, of course, Génifique has been committed to a Japan-specific formulation since the Advanced N days, and this new Ultimate Serum also has distinctly different Japanese and international formulations. The Japanese formula has a somewhat thick texture — when dispensed from the dropper it feels fairly loose and has a slightly thick, syrupy quality, but once applied to the skin, it absorbs as quickly as toner. It feels even more absorbent than the previous version. I heard this formulation caters specifically to Japanese preferences. I also got to try the international version, and it felt a bit thicker/stickier. In Japan, this serum is applied first after cleansing, before toner, but apparently people overseas don't do this — they apply it after toner, so they prefer a texture with more weight that forms a film on the skin. I think it's wonderful that they've stayed committed to the formula that Japanese consumers prefer. Also, an ingredient that was already in the original Génifique Advanced N — ascorbyl glucoside, a vitamin C derivative — is included here too. I think this contributes to skin brightness. Dipotassium glycyrrhizate is also included, which has anti-inflammatory properties. And adenosine is included as well, which is expected to help suppress the enzyme that breaks down collagen. Balancing the skin's beneficial bacteria and strengthening the skin's barrier function — that was the previous Génifique's approach. But now, in addition to this defensive approach, an offensive element has been added as well, so I think this represents a significant upgrade — that's my impression of this new Ultimate Serum. This serum has consistently been chosen whenever YouTubers and beauty influencers are asked to name their all-time favorite products, so I think it's likely to become an even bigger hit going forward.
