【顔の黄ばみ対策】もっと透明感を出すスキンケアアイテムを紹介します

Hello everyone, this is Arata Tomori. When you want to achieve a luminous complexion, you know that it's not just brown undertones that get in the way, but yellowing too, right? Especially for us Japanese people, our skin tends to yellow easily. Since we want to care for not just brown tones but yellow ones as well, today I'd like to introduce you to the latest yellowing prevention skincare items. First, do you know what causes yellowing? Of course there are many causes, but what's being said as the most necessary thing to care for yellowing right now is skincare for a pigment called bilirubin. When I heard that, the first product that came to mind was SK-II's Genoptics Essence. It was discovered that bilirubin accumulation caused by sleep deprivation occurs in the skin too, and this Genoptics Essence contains ingredients to care for bilirubin. Since taking care of bilirubin is so important for achieving luminosity, Albion is also focusing on bilirubin this time. So what did Albion do? Of course, they took an approach to suppress the generation of bilirubin itself to prevent it from being produced in the first place. But realistically, due to sleep deprivation, poor diet, and other factors, bilirubin inevitably accumulates in the epidermis cells. So they thought, why not have skincare that properly expels it? They're taking a dual approach—suppression and expulsion. To suppress generation, they combined L-ascorbic acid sulfate ester sodium, a water-soluble vitamin C derivative, with liver flavonoids extracted from liver essence, and discovered this suppresses the production of bilirubin in the epidermis. And they also found that ethyl linoleate promotes the expulsion of bilirubin that's attached to the epidermis. So by doing both suppression and expulsion together, they prevent it from being made in the first place and ensure it's properly expelled, which is how they're addressing yellowing. However, yellowing alone won't give you luminosity, so for addressing brown undertones, Albion's Self-Whitening Mission contains tranexamic acid and vitamin C derivatives. While the bilirubin suppression used water-soluble vitamin C derivatives, for this brown tone suppression, since we need gradual effects, they used fat-soluble vitamin C derivatives. That's tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate, an effective vitamin C. So by combining tranexamic acid with this effective vitamin C, they approach melanin suppression, addressing the melanin that causes brown undertones. I understand you're taking care of things that obstruct luminosity, but with whitening, if results don't appear immediately, people don't tend to continue using products, right? Logically we understand it takes 1-2 months of use, but to achieve that just-after-bath skin glow, I think fast-drying efficacy is really important. So they thought, why not keep the stratum corneum constantly filled with water? That's the concept behind this essence. The skin's stratum corneum has two types of water: free water and bound water. Bound water is water that bonds with amino acids and lipids in the stratum corneum, making it resistant to evaporation. Free water, on the other hand, doesn't bond with amino acids and lipids, so it evaporates quickly. So increasing bound water—water that bonds firmly with amino acids and lipids—is really important for maintaining stratum corneum moisture. To create bound water that won't evaporate, they included silicon derivatives. When you add water, these silicon derivatives bond with amino acids and lipids, properly incorporating moisture into the stratum corneum. This means water that would normally evaporate quickly stays in the stratum corneum, providing faster-acting luminosity. They also included malic acid, oligosaccharides, and calcium to support proper alignment of the stratum corneum. So it's not just that there's plenty of bound water in the stratum corneum—the stratum corneum itself becomes properly aligned, allowing light to enter and reflect properly, increasing luminosity. With abundant water and proper stratum corneum structure and alignment, they achieve enhanced luminosity with fast-acting results. So today, I did a deep dive into Albion's Self-Whitening Mission, which provides both yellowing care and fast-acting care.
