夏の日焼けをなかったことにする!? 資生堂が本気で作った化粧水をご紹介します。

皆さんこんにちは、トモリ新田です。今日は、皮膚の老化を抑えることができるのではないかという世界的な発見があった最新の知見と、最新の化粧品情報を皆さんにお伝えしたいと思いますので、最後までご覧ください。 私はいつもこの動画で、「炎症が起こることが老化につながります」とお話ししています。日焼けをした時には肌に炎症が起こっており、それによってメラノサイトがメラニン色素を作ってシミができたり、コラーゲンを分解する細胞が活性化されたりします。つまり、炎症があることが肌の老化の第一歩であり、この炎症が起こった時に生じる様々なメカニズムをブロックしていくことがとても大事だということをいつもお話ししています。 今回のテーマは、これまでお話ししてきた紫外線や乾燥による「急性炎症」ではなく、じわじわと起こってくる「慢性炎症」についてです。秋冬でも紫外線は微妙に肌に届いており、特に皮膚の奥深くまで届くUVAが慢性炎症を引き起こします。秋冬はUVAの影響が相対的に大きくなるため、慢性炎症を抑えることがとても大切になります。 慢性炎症がなぜ起こるのかというと、若い頃は体にもともと防御機能が備わっているため慢性炎症になりにくいのですが、年を取るにつれて炎症を防御する能力が低下していきます。これが老化の原因になることは以前からわかっていましたが、今回新たな発見がありました。 若い頃には、炎症を鎮静化させるシステムがしっかり働いています。そのシステムに深く関わっているのが、免疫細胞の一つである「マクロファージ」です。マクロファージは約100年前に発見された免疫細胞で、免疫の暴走を防ぎ、炎症をコントロールする役割を担っています。 マクロファージには「M1マクロファージ」と「M2マクロファージ」の2種類があることは以前から知られていました。M1マクロファージは炎症を引き起こして免疫を発動させる働きをし、M2マクロファージは炎症を抑える働きをします。今回の大発見は、このM1とM2のバランスが崩れることによって慢性炎症が進んでいくということです。 この研究は、2020年に開催された日本研究皮膚科学会第45回年次学術大会で発表されたものです。若い頃はM1とM2のバランスが保たれているため、炎症が起こってもM2がきちんと抑制してくれるので慢性炎症に至りません。しかし年を取ると、M2マクロファージがM1に変わりやすくなり、慢性炎症を防ぐシステムのバランスが崩れていきます。その結果、皮膚の老化が促進されることが今回の研究で明らかになりました。 この研究を行ったのは資生堂の研究チームです。そして、この最新研究の成果がギュッと詰まった製品が、「リバイタルローションセラム」です。ローションタイプなので、水のようにスーッと肌に馴染む化粧水で、使い心地もとても気持ちよく、日本人好みのテクスチャーだと思います。 この製品には、M1とM2マクロファージのバランスを整える「ダブルフォーカスDG」というリバイタル独自の成分が配合されています。メインとなる成分は「キハダ樹脂エキス」で、M1マクロファージを抑制しつつM2マクロファージを増やし、バランスを整える効果があることが確認されています。これにより、若い頃と同じような肌環境を取り戻し、急性炎症を慢性化させないことを目的としています。 さらに、抗炎症だけでなく抗酸化作用を持つ「パープル5」という成分も配合されています。ラベンダー、シャクヤク、キイチゴ、ローズマリー、シソという5種類の紫色の植物から抽出したエキスのコンプレックスで、資生堂が独自に開発したものです。このパープル5を配合することで、配合していないものと比べて抗酸化力が高まることが確認されています。 抗酸化と慢性炎症の抑制を同時に行うことで、夏に受けたダメージを回復させながら、これからも続く慢性炎症や酸化のダメージを防ぎ、くすみのない、老化を進ませない肌へと導いてくれる化粧水です。 しっかりとした研究をもとに開発された化粧品は本当に素晴らしいと思います。慢性炎症を抑えるというキーワードは、年を重ねる私たちにとってとても重要なテーマですので、ぜひ頭に入れておいてください。 今日も最後までご覧いただきありがとうございました。今後こんな化粧品を開発してほしい、あるいはこれってどういうこと？という疑問がありましたら、コメント欄に書いていただけると嬉しいです。それではまた次の動画でお会いしましょう。さようなら。

Hello everyone, I'm Tomori Nitta. Today I'd like to share with you the latest scientific findings behind a globally significant discovery about how we may be able to suppress skin aging, along with information about the latest skincare product. Please watch until the end. In my videos, I always talk about how inflammation leads to aging. When you get a sunburn, inflammation occurs in the skin, which triggers melanocytes to produce melanin pigment, leading to dark spots, and also activates cells that break down collagen. In other words, inflammation is the very first step in skin aging, and I always emphasize how important it is to block the various mechanisms triggered by that inflammation. Today's topic is not the "acute inflammation" caused by UV rays or dryness that I usually discuss, but rather "chronic inflammation" that develops slowly and gradually. Even in autumn and winter, UV rays still reach the skin to some degree. In particular, UVA rays—which penetrate deep into the skin—cause chronic inflammation and are relatively more prevalent during the colder months. This is why suppressing chronic inflammation is especially important during autumn and winter. Why does chronic inflammation occur? When we are young, our bodies have built-in defense mechanisms that make us less prone to chronic inflammation. However, as we age, our ability to defend against inflammation declines. This has long been known as a cause of aging, but a new discovery has now shed further light on the matter. In our youth, a system that quells inflammation works effectively. A key player in this system is a type of immune cell called a "macrophage." Discovered about 100 years ago, macrophages play a crucial role in controlling immune responses and preventing them from running out of control. It has long been known that there are two types of macrophages: "M1 macrophages" and "M2 macrophages." M1 macrophages promote inflammation and activate the immune response, while M2 macrophages suppress inflammation. The major new finding is that an imbalance between M1 and M2 macrophages drives the progression of chronic inflammation. This research was presented at the 45th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Japanese Society for Investigative Dermatology in 2020. In our younger years, the balance between M1 and M2 macrophages is well maintained, so even when inflammation occurs, M2 macrophages properly suppress it before it becomes chronic. As we age, however, M2 macrophages become more likely to shift toward M1, disrupting the system that prevents chronic inflammation and accelerating skin aging. This research was conducted by Shiseido's research team, and the culmination of these latest findings is packed into a product called the "Revital Lotion Serum." It's a lotion-type formula that glides onto the skin like water and has a comfortable, lightweight texture that I think many Japanese consumers will love. The product contains a Revital-exclusive ingredient called "Double Focus DG," developed to balance M1 and M2 macrophages. The key component is "Phellodendron Bark Extract," which has been found to suppress M1 macrophages while increasing M2 macrophages, thereby restoring their balance. This aims to recreate the skin environment of one's younger years and prevent acute inflammation from becoming chronic. In addition to its anti-inflammatory properties, the product contains an antioxidant complex called "Purple 5." This is a proprietary blend developed by Shiseido, combining extracts from five purple plants: lavender, peony, raspberry, rosemary, and perilla (shiso). Studies have confirmed that the inclusion of Purple 5 significantly boosts antioxidant activity compared to formulations without it. By simultaneously providing antioxidant protection and suppressing chronic inflammation, this lotion serum helps repair damage accumulated over the summer, guards against ongoing chronic inflammation and oxidative stress, and works toward a brighter, more youthful complexion. Skincare products developed on the basis of solid scientific research are truly remarkable.
