It also contains placenta extract, which also has whitening properties. Ceramide is included as well, providing solid moisturizing — essential for effective whitening. It also contains amino acids known to strengthen the skin's barrier function, along with allantoin for anti-inflammatory effects. So it strengthens the barrier, calms inflammation, and boosts transparency through placenta and vitamin C derivative — an amazing deal for the price. Perfect for the upcoming season of stronger UV rays. 【3. Aqua Label Bouncing Lotion】 I've introduced this toner before as a budget-friendly option, but there were things I didn't get to explain fully last time, so let me cover them now. This yellow-bottled version contains ingredients ideal for skin exposed to UV rays. First, tranexamic acid — an approved whitening ingredient that also calms inflamed skin. Second, retinyl palmitate, a vitamin A derivative known as a "protective" form of vitamin A that shields skin from UV damage. It also contains 3 unique amino acids (D-glutamic acid, D-alanine, D-methionine) developed through joint research between Shiseido and Kyushu University. The basement membrane at the bottom of the epidermis is where new skin cells are generated; if this area is damaged, cell renewal slows and barrier function weakens. While ceramide and natural moisturizing factor (NMF) are commonly discussed in relation to barrier function, amino acids are actually the building blocks of NMF. By supplying amino acids to the skin, you boost NMF production, strengthening the barrier and reducing skin irritation. With mask-related friction causing skin troubles this season, strengthening your skin barrier is essential. It also contains lactic acid and PCA, which support barrier function. In terms of boosting natural moisturizing factor and strengthening the skin barrier, this might be one of the best options out there.
