2022年の神美白化粧水を2つ紹介します。

みなさんこんにちは、朝田です。 今日は2022年、大注目のブライトニング化粧水を2本ご紹介します。この2本は、どちらもすごい研究の結果生まれた化粧水で、エスティローダーの「マイクロエッセンスローション」と、ディオールの「カプチュール トータル インテンシブ エッセンスローション」です。 どちらも外資系ブランドですが、実は日本の発酵技術がベースになっていて、しっかりとデータを取っている本当に素晴らしい化粧品なんです。この2つをしっかり深掘りしたいので、透明感を出したい方は必見です。 【エスティローダー マイクロエッセンスローション】 まずはエスティローダーの方から。こちらは今年3月4日にリニューアルされました。2014年から発売されており、何度かリニューアルを重ねて、今回2022年にまた新しくなったというものです。 もともとこの化粧水は発酵技術で生まれた成分をベースにしていました。エスティローダーは世界各国で展開していますが、欧米の方に比べてアジア人女性は肌のバリア機能が弱いことに気づき、その理由を調べたところ、肌のバリア機能を司る成分の一つ「フィラグリン」の産生量が他の人種に比べて少ないことがわかりました。そのためアジア人は肌荒れを起こしやすく、乾燥しやすく、バリア機能が低下しやすいのです。このフィラグリンをどう増やすかというところから研究が始まったのだと思います。 フィラグリンは水分を確実に抱え込み、天然保湿因子（NMF）を増やすことでバリア機能を担う成分です。 これをどう増やすか考えたとき、お醤油や日本酒のような発酵食品がヒントになりました。お米や大豆を発酵させるとき、菌がいて、菌の餌となるお米や大豆があり、そこから生み出されるものがお酒や醤油になります。この菌の餌になるものを「プレバイオティクス」、菌自体を「プロバイオティクス」と呼びます。そして、菌が餌を食べて生み出す第三の栄養素を「ポストバイオティクス」と呼びます。 このポストバイオティクスには様々なアミノ酸や有効成分が含まれており、皮膚のバリア機能をアップさせることが最近の研究でわかってきました。どんな菌でどんなものを発酵させ、どんなポストバイオティクスを作るかは、各メーカーがそれぞれ独自に研究しています。 エスティローダーが見つけたポストバイオティクスは、独自開発の「ポストバイオティクス12プラス」というものです。成分表示では水の次に「ビフィズス菌培養溶解質」と記載されていますが、同じ表示名でも、どんな菌にどんな栄養を与えてどんなものを生み出すかによって働きは全く異なり、これはエスティローダー独自のエキスです。 第17回中国皮膚科学会全国学術大会で発表されたデータによると、このポストバイオティクス12プラスは表皮の厚みを増やすことがわかりました。角質だけが厚くなると透明感が失われてしまいますが、細胞は表皮の一番下にある基底層で生まれ、成長しながら最終的に角層になります。その途中の、まだ生きている細胞の層（顆粒層など）が厚みを増すというのは重要なポイントです。生きた細胞が成長する過程で細胞間脂質や水分を保持する成分を作りながら育っていくので、この層が厚いほど水分を作る力が高いことを意味します。 このデータでは、この層がしっかり厚くなり、細胞間脂質を作って正しく角化していくことがわかっており、まず水分量を増やすこと、そして先ほどお話ししたアジア人に少ないフィラグリンの産生も増やすことが示されています。 また、表皮の細胞は紫外線ダメージを受けると、エネルギーを作り出す機能が低下します。しかし、このポストバイオティクス12プラスは、紫外線ダメージを受けた際のATP（エネルギー）産生量の低下を抑えるというデータも同学会で発表されています。つまり、肌ダメージを回復させながら水分量を上げ、肌を強くしつつ透明感を引き出していくというわけです。 さらに抗炎症作用の強いリコリスエキスも配合されており、肌の炎症を抑えることで、黄ぐすみや赤み、色ムラを軽減しながら、肌そのものを強くしていく——これがエスティローダー独自の発酵技術の賜物です。透明感が欲しいけれど、肌荒れも防ぎたいという方にぴったりだと思います。 【ディオール カプチュール トータル インテンシブ エッセンスローション】 続いてはディオールの「カプチュール トータル インテンシブ エッセンスローション」。今年の1月1日に発売されたもので、こちらもディオールの研究がすごいんです。 ディオールには「ディオールガーデン」と呼ばれる、生態系をきちんと保護しながら管理する農園があり、そこに生息する植物を研究して、肌に有効な成分を見つけ出しています。バラをはじめ様々な植物を研究していますが、今回配合されているのは、インド洋に浮かぶマダガスカル島に自生する「ロサ・カニナ」（原文表記：ロサンゴ）という植物です。ディオールはマダガスカルにもディオールガーデンを設け、この植物をしっかり保護しながら研究を進めています。それだけでもすごいことですよね。 ディオールの研究のベースになっているのは、肌が紫外線や乾燥、外的刺激などのストレスを受けると、5つのタンパク質の働きがおかしくなるという発見です。 1つ目は「カリクレイン」。細胞の角化を促進し、角化した細胞がきちんと剥がれ落ちるよう調節するタンパク質で、これが乱れると角層が厚くなり透明感が失われます。 2つ目は「エラフィン」。細胞の一番外側でバリア機能を強くするタンパク質です。 3つ目は「オクルディン」。細胞同士の接着を強固にするタンパク質です。 4つ目はエスティローダーも注目していた「フィラグリン」。水分を抱え込み、保持するタンパク質です。 5つ目は「デスモグレイン」。こちらも細胞同士の接着や肌のなめらかさ、バリア機能を強くするタンパク質です。 肌に炎症やストレスが起こると、これら5つのタンパク質の働きが乱れてしまいます。そこでディオールは、これらのタンパク質の機能を高める成分を探し、たどり着いたのがマダガスカル島に自生するロサ・カニナだったのです。 この植物の成分を10日間、10種類の微生物で発酵させます。先ほども触れましたが、発酵技術のポイントは「どんな原料をどんな菌で発酵させるか」。ディオールはこのロサ・カニナを10種類の菌でしっかり発酵させた、ディオール独自の発酵液を作り出しました。 成分表示上は「乳酸桿菌培養溶解液」や「酵母発酵液」といった一般的な表記になってしまいますが、これはディオール独自のロサ・カニナ発酵液であり、他の発酵液とは働きが全く異なります。 この発酵液は、先ほどの5つのタンパク質をしっかりサポートします。カリクレインが活性化すれば正しい剥離が起こり透明感が生まれ、エラフィンやデスモグレインが活性化すればバリア機能が強くなり肌荒れしにくくなります。オクルディンも細胞の接着を強固にしてバリア機能を高め、フィラグリンは肌の水分量を上げてくれます。 バリア機能を強化しながら炎症を抑え、水分量を上げていくという方向性はエスティローダーと同じですが、そこに至るアプローチ、つまり使っている発酵液が全く異なります。 どちらの発酵液がどんな人に合うのかは一概には言えませんが、こうした発酵液が肌の透明感アップやバリア機能強化に効果的であることは、研究から確実にわかってきています。エスティローダーもディオールも、それぞれ独自の原料を発酵させ、そこから生まれる抽出液で肌のバリア機能を高め、透明感をもたらすという方向性は同じでも、たどり着く先が違う。それぞれが素晴らしい化粧水に落とし込んでいるのは、さすがデパコス、さすがラグジュアリーブランドだなと思います。 肌に透明感を出したい、くすみをなくしたい、でもバリア機能も水分量もアップさせたいという方、そして今新しい化粧水を探しているという方は、ぜひこうした観点から選んでみるのも良いのではないでしょうか。日本の発酵技術がこれほど深く関わっているというのは、日本人としても嬉しいことだと思います。 いかがでしたか？本当にデパコスってすごいなと改めて思いました。日本の発酵技術が使われていて、しっかり研究されているというのは本当に喜ばしいことです。私自身どちらも使ってみましたが、どちらもしっかりと透明感が出て、水分量がアップするのが分かりやすく感じられ、肌が元気になる感覚もありました。どちらが自分に合うか、ぜひ試してみてください。 このチャンネルでは、プチプラからデパコスまで、いろいろな化粧品を深掘りしたり、美容や健康にまつわる情報を配信しています。よかったらチャンネル登録をお願いします。また、こんな化粧品を深掘りしてほしい、この健康情報は本当なの？といった疑問があれば、ぜひコメント欄に書いてください。 では、また次の動画でお会いしましょう。さようなら。

Hello everyone, this is Tomoda. Today I'm introducing two highly anticipated brightening lotions for 2022. Both of these lotions are the result of amazing research: Estée Lauder's Micro Essence Lotion and Dior's Capture Totale Intensive Essence Lotion. Both are foreign brands, but interestingly, they're based on Japanese fermentation technology, and both are backed by solid research data — truly wonderful cosmetics. I want to dive deep into both of these, so if you're looking for more transparent, radiant skin, this is a must-watch. 【Estée Lauder Micro Essence Lotion】 Let's start with Estée Lauder. This product was renewed on March 4th this year. It was first launched in 2014 and has gone through several renewals, with this being the newest 2022 version. From the beginning, this lotion was based on ingredients derived from fermentation technology. Estée Lauder operates globally, and they noticed that Asian women tend to have weaker skin barrier function compared to Western women. When they investigated why, they found that Asian skin produces less filaggrin — a component responsible for skin barrier function — compared to other ethnicities. This is why Asian skin tends to be more prone to irritation, dryness, and weakened barrier function. I believe their research began with the question of how to increase filaggrin production. Filaggrin firmly retains water and increases Natural Moisturizing Factor (NMF), playing a key role in barrier function. When thinking about how to increase it, they drew inspiration from fermented foods like soy sauce and sake. When rice or soybeans are fermented, there are microbes present, and the rice or soybeans serve as food for these microbes, producing things like sake or soy sauce. The food for the microbes is called "prebiotics," the microbes themselves are "probiotics," and the third type of nutrient created when the microbes consume the food is called "postbiotics." Recent research has shown that postbiotics contain various amino acids and beneficial compounds that can enhance skin barrier function. Each manufacturer researches which microbes, fermenting which materials, produce which specific postbiotics. The postbiotic Estée Lauder discovered is their proprietary "Postbiotic 12 Plus." On the ingredient list, it's simply labeled as "Bifida Ferment Lysate" right after water, but even with the same label name, the effects can be completely different depending on what microbes are fed what nutrients to produce what substances — and this is Estée Lauder's own proprietary extract. According to data presented at the 17th National Congress of Dermatology in China, this Postbiotic 12 Plus was shown to increase epidermal thickness. If only the stratum corneum (dead skin layer) thickens, transparency is lost. However, cells are born in the basal layer at the bottom of the epidermis and grow as they move up, eventually becoming the stratum corneum. The key point is that the layer of still-living cells in between (such as the granular layer) becomes thicker. As living cells grow, they produce intercellular lipids and water-retaining substances, so a thicker layer here means a greater capacity to produce moisture. The data showed that this layer thickens properly, producing intercellular lipids and undergoing correct keratinization — first increasing water content, and also increasing filaggrin production, which as mentioned is naturally lower in Asian skin. Additionally, when epidermal cells are exposed to UV damage, their energy-producing function declines. However, data presented at the same conference showed that Postbiotic 12 Plus suppresses the decline in ATP (energy) production even after UV exposure. In other words, it helps repair skin damage while boosting hydration, strengthening the skin while bringing out transparency. The formula also contains licorice extract, known for its strong anti-inflammatory properties, which helps calm skin inflammation, reducing yellowish dullness, redness, and uneven tone while strengthening the skin overall — this is the result of Estée Lauder's proprietary fermentation technology. I think this would be great for those who want transparency but also want to prevent skin irritation. 【Dior Capture Totale Intensive Essence Lotion】 Next is Dior's Capture Totale Intensive Essence Lotion, launched on January 1st this year. Dior's research behind this is also impressive. Dior has what's called the "Dior Garden," a carefully managed, ecologically protected botanical garden where they study plants native to the area to discover ingredients beneficial for skin. They've researched roses and various other flowers, but the ingredient featured in this product comes from a plant called Rosa (referred to in the original as "Rosango") native to Madagascar, an island in the Indian Ocean. Dior has established a Dior Garden in Madagascar as well, carefully protecting and researching this plant — which is impressive in itself. The foundation of Dior's research is the discovery that when skin is exposed to stressors like UV rays, dryness, and external irritants, five specific proteins become dysfunctional. The first is Kallikrein, which promotes cell keratinization and regulates the proper shedding of keratinized cells. When this malfunctions, the stratum corneum thickens and transparency is lost. The second is Elafin, a protein that strengthens barrier function at the outermost layer of cells. The third is Occludin, a protein that strengthens cell-to-cell adhesion. The fourth is Filaggrin — the same protein Estée Lauder focused on — which retains and holds onto moisture. The fifth is Desmoglein, another protein that strengthens cell adhesion, skin smoothness, and barrier function. When skin experiences inflammation or stress, the function of these five proteins becomes disrupted. So Dior searched for an ingredient that could enhance the function of these proteins, and arrived at Rosa from Madagascar. This plant's extract is fermented for 10 days using 10 different types of microorganisms. As I mentioned earlier, the key to fermentation technology is what raw materials are fermented with what microbes. Dior thoroughly ferments this Rosa extract with 10 types of microbes to create their own proprietary fermented liquid. On the ingredient list, it may simply appear as "Lactobacillus Ferment Lysate" or "Yeast Ferment Filtrate," but this is Dior's own proprietary Rosa fermented extract, and its effects are completely different from other fermented extracts with similar labels. This fermented extract strongly supports all five of the proteins mentioned above. When Kallikrein is activated, proper cell shedding occurs, creating transparency. When Elafin and Desmoglein are activated, barrier function strengthens, making skin less prone to irritation. Occludin also strengthens cell adhesion to boost barrier function, while Filaggrin increases skin's moisture content. The overall direction — strengthening barrier function, suppressing inflammation, and increasing hydration — is the same as Estée Lauder's approach, but the method of achieving it, meaning the specific fermented extract used, is completely different. It's hard to say definitively which fermented extract suits which type of skin, but research clearly shows that these fermented extracts are effective at enhancing skin transparency and strengthening barrier function. Both Estée Lauder and Dior ferment their own proprietary raw materials, and while the resulting extracts share the same goal of strengthening skin barrier function and bringing out transparency, they arrive there via completely different paths. The fact that each brand has distilled this into such an excellent product truly shows the caliber of department store cosmetics and luxury brands. If you want more transparent skin, want to reduce dullness, but also want to boost barrier function and hydration — and if you're currently looking for a new lotion — I encourage you to consider choosing one from this perspective. It makes me happy as a Japanese person to see how deeply Japanese fermentation technology is involved in these products. So, what did you think?
