目元のお悩み別にアイクリーム3つを紹介します。

Hello everyone, this is Yuri Tomo (Shin Tomori). Today I'd like to introduce three eye creams that I personally think are great, so please watch until the end. On Instagram Live, YouTube Live, and in the comments section, I get a lot of comments about concerns around the eyes—under-eye sagging, dark circles, spots, puffiness, and more. Since we're all wearing masks these days, the eye area tends to stand out more, which I think is why concerns about this area are getting even more attention than usual. At the clinic too, I often get requests like "please fix the puffiness under my eyes" or "please fix my under-eye sagging." I previously made a video about Stayd's Second Skin, but aside from using special products like that, it's actually quite difficult to improve under-eye puffiness. So today, I'd like to introduce three items that I think could help with under-eye dark circles, spots, puffiness, and dryness. First, let's talk about why the eye area is so prone to trouble in the first place. The skin around the eyes has very few sebaceous glands. Normally, skin's barrier function is established by sebum sitting on top of the stratum corneum, but since there's almost no sebum around the eyes, no oil film forms, making this area prone to dryness. Also, since we apply eye makeup, we tend to rub and create friction in this area more often. And because we blink constantly, this area is under a fair amount of physical strain. Another point: the eye socket (orbit) is where the eyeball sits, cushioned by orbital fat around it. When the eye area loses firmness, there's less support holding this fat in place, so it can protrude forward and create that puffy appearance. This is why keeping the eye area firm and well-moisturized is so important. Another reason is that the eye area is located near the cheekbone, which tends to catch a lot of UV exposure, making it surprisingly prone to developing spots. Because of these combined factors, concerns around the eyes tend to be common. Of course, applying serum around the eyes is important, but adding an eye cream on top can make your routine even more effective. Today, I'll introduce products suited to different specific concerns. **1. Dr. Ci:Labo VC100 Eye Serum** This is from Ci:Labo's orange VC100 series. I love their lotion too and have featured it on this channel several times before—this is the eye serum from that same line. This is great for people concerned about dullness, spots, or fine wrinkles around the eyes. It contains two of my favorite ingredients. The first is APPS, a penetrating form of vitamin C. Vitamin C derivatives generally either work fast or work slowly but steadily—APPS actually offers both benefits at once. Since vitamin C provides both antioxidant and brightening effects, it's important to keep it on the skin consistently. This is especially valuable around the eyes, which are prone to spots and dullness. The second ingredient is niacinamide. Niacinamide is an excellent ingredient that offers both wrinkle-improving and brightening effects, working on both the epidermis and dermis. In the dermis, it suppresses degradation of collagen and elastin, helping improve wrinkles. It also improves skin's metabolic turnover, helping break down and expel melanin, supporting a brightening effect as well. Beyond these two active ingredients, it's also packed with Ci:Labo's signature hydrolyzed collagen and other moisturizing ingredients, so even though it's technically a serum, it holds its own as a cream. If you're concerned about dullness, spots, post-rubbing pigmentation, or fine wrinkles around the eyes, definitely check out this Ci:Labo VC100 Eye Serum. **2. IPSA Serum Zero Eye** This IPSA Serum Zero Eye is another fascinating eye cream. It's suited for people whose eye area tends to look puffy or swollen, or who experience rough, dry skin. This Serum Zero line also has a facial serum version with the same concept—improving puffiness to improve rough skin—and this is the eye version of that. You might be wondering, "What does puffiness have to do with rough skin?" This is actually a really interesting point. So what exactly is puffiness? The body has arteries that deliver oxygen and veins that collect waste products. Running alongside these blood vessels are lymphatic vessels, which work like a sewage system—receiving waste from the veins and carrying it away. However, various factors can cause waste to leak out of the lymphatic vessels and accumulate outside cells, which is what we call puffiness (or edema). Leg swelling, for example, is partly due to lack of exercise, but is also caused by this kind of lymphatic leakage. Waste that leaks from lymphatic vessels—unwanted proteins and the like—can harden into cellulite in the legs, but in the face, it's known to cause chronic inflammation. This chronic inflammation leads to dullness and can also break down collagen and elastin, causing sagging. IPSA discovered that improving puffiness can therefore help improve rough skin. Lymphatic vessels are formed by block-like endothelial cells joined together by a cement-like substance called vascular endothelial cadherin (adhesion factor). However, due to UV exposure, stress, and aging, this function declines, causing a kind of "leaky" state where waste escapes. IPSA focused on a gene called TIE2, which activates this endothelial adhesion factor. Activating TIE2 strengthens the adhesion factor, allowing endothelial cells to bond more firmly together and preventing leakage. In their search for an ingredient to activate TIE2, IPSA arrived at star fruit extract. This extract switches on the activation of the adhesion factor, preventing excess waste products from leaking out, thereby helping prevent puffiness and the rough skin and sagging caused by chronic inflammation from that puffiness. If you're bothered by a puffy, swollen appearance or sagging around your eyes, I highly recommend this IPSA Serum Zero Eye. There's also a facial version of this serum, so if you're concerned about facial puffiness or resulting sagging, check that out too. **3. Taisho Pharmaceutical Adryze Active Eye Cream** Taisho Pharmaceutical's Adryze line features an eye cream containing heparinoid, an ingredient I frequently mention on this channel. It draws in moisture for excellent hydration and is even used in medical-grade moisturizers. You can really feel the pharmaceutical company's attention to detail here. This cream is perfect for addressing fine lines caused by dryness around the eyes. But that's not all—it also contains two active ingredients. One is placenta extract, which has brightening effects and helps suppress the spread of inflammation caused by UV exposure, helping improve inflammation-related spots and dullness. The other is vitamin E (tocopherol), which promotes blood circulation and may help improve dark circles. There are also several other ingredients unique to a pharmaceutical company's formulation. One is Lipidure, an ingredient designed to mimic phospholipids that make up human cell membranes. It has extremely high affinity with skin and is said to have even greater moisturizing power than hyaluronic acid—making it a relatively expensive ingredient. It also contains lotus seed lactobacillus ferment, which is known to promote fibroblast activity. Since fibroblasts are related to skin firmness, this ingredient may help suppress sagging around the eyes caused by dryness. Additionally, it contains hydrolyzed conchiolin, made from the water-soluble protein found in Akoya pearl oysters. Rich in amino acids like leucine and valine, this ingredient is known to increase moisture levels in the epidermis and improve barrier function—commonly found in products for sensitive skin. Combined with heparinoid and Lipidure, it can help boost overall skin hydration. Another ingredient is chamomile extract, a long-used anti-inflammatory ingredient that helps calm inflammation caused by dryness-related barrier dysfunction. For those dealing with dry, wrinkled skin around the eyes, this cream could be a real savior. **Summary** Today I introduced three products: 1.
