You've probably seen it in commercials recently — it's a foam-based makeup remover. After receiving so many questions from viewers asking whether it's actually good, I went ahead and bought it to find out. The concept behind this product stems from the growing number of people who have been experiencing skin friction since mask-wearing became common. It was developed for those who want to remove makeup thoroughly while minimizing friction as much as possible. I always say there are three things to avoid for healthy skin: UV rays, dryness, and friction. While most people are fairly conscious about sun protection and moisturizing, friction tends to happen without us even noticing. Wearing a mask constantly creates friction on the covered areas, and scrubbing hard to remove heavy makeup is another common source of skin friction. Personally, I use an oil cleanser — applying it quickly, emulsifying it, and rinsing it off. Simply applying them may allow the product to blend in, but it doesn't fully remove makeup on its own — you need to wipe and rinse to complete the process. So at first glance, I was skeptical about how this product could claim to be 'friction-free.' The answer, it turns out, lies in the foam. Just like Biore's foaming facial wash, a specially designed pump creates extremely fine, dense foam. I believe the bursting action of the bubbles — similar to a soap bubble popping — substitutes for the physical scrubbing motion. If the bubbles didn't have enough burst force, makeup wouldn't be removed. The dedicated pump produces dense foam with strong burst energy, which is what makes this foam cleanser work. Testing it out, I applied liquid foundation and lipstick, then dispensed foam onto my skin. The foam felt firm and blended in well. Without any rubbing — just gentle pressing — the lipstick came off cleanly. There were a few areas where some residue remained, but I believe a quick rinse with water would take care of those. Even with just gentle pressing, a significant amount of makeup was removed. In summary, this product combines multiple mild nonionic surfactants for cleansing power, and replaces physical scrubbing with the bursting action of foam — achieving a genuinely friction-free experience. It's fairly gentle even for sensitive skin, successfully combining the skin-friendly benefits of wipe-off cleansers with a friction-free approach. That said, it may not be powerful enough to fully remove heavy, full-coverage makeup. For eye makeup in particular, I'd recommend using a dedicated eye makeup remover first. However, for those who aren't wearing heavy makeup daily due to mask-wearing — just a light foundation and blush — this is an easy-to-use, friction-free option available at drugstores that's well worth trying.
